Hi Team I have tried searching for this, but there seems to be alot of back and forth, no real definitive answer.... I have a 2000 model, series 2 RB25DETneo factory AWD manual stagea. The gearbox has a whine in every gear but 4th, and when sitting in nuetral clutch not depressed (countershaft bearing) because it ran with no oil for a short time. Instead of getting it rebuilt, I just want to put another gearbox in it. My question is, what gearbox is interchangeable!? I assumed they ran an R33GTR gearbox? As It has the rest of the 33gtr drivetrain and rear end following it? My blue plate indicated a code of * FS5R30 RC41 if that can indicate anything specific?

Hi guys I think I am the first to post up the results of a Mamba brand turbo. The unit is fitted to my series 2 Stages RSFourS RB25DET-Neo. I took the plunge and contacted Eiji directly for my purchase and couldn't be happier. The dyno results speak for themselves, I will be sticking it back on the dyno to get the 300rwkw I was chasing, and it looks very achievable. Tuned by the wizard himself Dec's from Garage 7, he had to stop the tune early due to the clutch losing its ability to hold the power, a standard clutch was never going to cut the mustard. New clutch ordered and it's almost guaranteed I will be making a post in the '300kw unopened club' thread.. So, see below. Hello guys I am more after pictures here, I bought a Mamba GTX3076 turbo kit, which came with a universal Oil and Water line kit, I can see that I will need to replace the oil feed fitting in the block to adapt to AN fitting (-4 I think) but I didn't get it in the kit, anyone know where I can get one from in Adelaide? Also, anyone show what they have done with their water lines, I got solid ones which are about 20cm long, with barbed engine fitting, I cannot see how they can join into any where. I would be after peoples pics with Kinugawa kits if possible, as they are similar. Cheers

That is a nice boost curve, however I have the external gate outlet, so should utilise the opportunity to run one. By the sounds, they seem pretty unreliable, seeing as no-one has chimed in with a really good result yet. Guess I will wait for a second handy to pop up before I get turbo, or just buy new once I have bought a turbo..

I had a fake one pulled apart the other day (Atleast I think it was fake as I got it cheap, I sold the whole setup on after rebuilding the turbo anyway) and the Diaphragm material was very good quality, similar to the ducting we use in aviation bleed air plumbing (Hi temperature). I'm more looking if someone is using one and to see their response. E.G, Rock solid boost control, with consistent control rather than an expected cheap quality of Fluctuating boost, and inconsistent control.

We all know external gates have superior boost control than that of a internal gates, I have a custom low mount manifold with the outlet on it for a 44mm V-Band external gate which I intend to run plumbed back into the system on my Stagea RB25DET-NEO Hi Ben, I am the fella that came and bought your Stagea Exhaust. I dont see if this functions properly, it should be cancelled out. I mean, everyone sings praise for Kando turbos which are copies of popular items and operate well on their own with a significant reduction in price.

I guess your boost cut adjustability could add a safety for that, most aftermarket ECU's (Maybe Nistune too) have adjustable boost limit? Thats strange, how did moisture get into it? I would assume the raw materials of even a genuine one would have had a problem in that situation? All good points though..

Is anyone using one of the Knock-Off style TiAL External Wastegates (Commonly available from Ebay for around $160 and can shed some light on their quality? Obviously, wont be as good as a genuine TiAL Item, but for a street setup, which doesnt get given hell it's a possibility it could be suitable if they operate properly.
