V36 Coupe Dash Problems
Justin370GT replied to Justin370GT's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Yeah Nissan would probly be like I don't think so I might ask at my local they are pretty good at gettin around that sort of thing like recalls n warrentee issues even past the date. Mines hammered a I gotta pull it all part anyway to replace a steering wheel bezel so might just do the dash Iv got a q60 speedo going in also. -
Does anyone know wtf is going on with my dash Wen it heats up slightly it goes tack n looks like it's sweating Once cooled down looks chalky Leaves no residue wen you rub your hand or a cloth over So bizzar Pretty much gona but a whole new dash from Nissan for 1200 Can anyone shed some light on this topic Thanks

Hi everyone I'm trying to find a brand new set of the oem skyline mats that came with the 370gt. I'm hoping someone might have some info as to where I can get these from. I'm even willing to swap mine which are still in good condition + some cash. But ideally I'd love a brand new set. Iv spoke to Nissan and they can't even find them on the system which I find strange.

Tyre Pressure Sensors
Justin370GT replied to Justin370GT's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Ok so yes it can be programed into the bcm once sensors are in and installed and control modual is in same as speedo can have mileage done using consult 3 Was just at Nissan Due to legal reasons they can't do cluster mileage unless it's a warentee job and dont really want to set up the TPMS they said it could be done but it would just take them ages which will cost heaps. So bin that idea My guy uses consult 3 also but really knows how to use it. -

Justin370GT replied to Justin370GT's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Yeah no worries There has been a few hic ups like the wheel camera but we found that the fx37 have a wheel camera so we are using that button cluster as it has the camera button in the same place and actually sez camera and fx37 unit and stereo climate button panel As for the TPMS I just received info that it is a seperate unit that is easy to get and easy to instal although it needs to be programed into the bcm which I think might be a bit of a task. I'm waiting on a definite if it is possible to be programed into it,if it's a yes I have a tech at Brookvale Nissan who's Ment to be the best in the country who wins the annual "tech off" every year sonic been told. I'm yet to speak with him about the mileage correction as u can also re program that so the q60 cluster mimics the mileage of the jdm cluster,in a sense it seems easier than getting a temp controlled soldering iron and swapping out the eprom chips. I mean that's if he is clued on programming a cluster, there is also blokes out there who run instrumentation company's for this type of work which I'll look at if the Nissan guy isn't confident. -
Tyre Pressure Sensors
Justin370GT replied to Justin370GT's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Iv seen the valve pick ups on eBay aswell but again they need to have the right frequency value for the pick up to find them/be programed. -

Thanks talkiet. Makes sense now as I read about the service thing u can set. I'm waiting on some more info but I'm hoping to adapt it to mine as the 2014 q60 set up has it I'm pretty sure,it's just a matter of if the in dash unit has the frequency pick up inbuilt or if it's an external stand alone unit integrated with the system -

Oh man I tell u the amount of emails and conversing that's been done is ridiculous. I'd spoke to a few people in Aus about n I got such a mixed bunch of theory's and opinions. Some people wer installing the Aus map n using stickers on the jap buttons, personally I think that is chat looks unprofessional n a bit tacky. Some said I couldn't do it with any v36 under 2010 some said it was a 10k exercise etc And I read all the convos on here n was pretty confused about the whole thing. But like this guy said we arnt driving nasa ships lol U just need to know what your doing and have the right resources. Although it's not cheap at all I think it's worth it,considering how beautiful these cars are and for resale also people can enjoy the full potential of the car. The English kit was $3080 and q60 cluster from Infiniti in Melbourne is $1100. -
Tyre Pressure Sensors
Justin370GT replied to Justin370GT's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Got a guy in Europe who has checked schematic on both models pretty much the same,us models yes massive difference as to why he has made up new harness for my English conversion complete swap out of gear with with updated software to 2014,new buttons, new navi unit with Aussie maps, new heater n stereo buttons, gives me Bluetooth streaming n heaps of stuff, works sweet, was a few grand but it's the bomb. As for cluster all it is is a slave Was just going to use the lcd from it but I like the look of the q60 cluster The only f**k around is the eprom chip that needs to be removed and re soldered into the q60 cluster to keep mileage. -
Yeah must only be newer gear
-
Does anyone know if the jdm 370gt has the tyre pressure thing going on? Had someone who could read Japanese tell me there was an option in the speedo display that said tyre? But had the tyre off the rim n no sensors unless some retard discarded them somewhere along the line. Will soon be fitting q60 cluster so I can sus all the shit in there out.

Na I tried it Doesn't work

Oh great thanks guys.

Hi does anyone know if the smart key slot under the steering wheel has a specific purpose? Iv been told seat memory can be tagged to each key? Also how does that auto seat postion work? Not seat memory but the sync with mirrors and wheel.

V36 Sloppy Window Drop
Justin370GT replied to Justin370GT's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
I just jumped on eBay n I'm pretty sure they are the same, nothing is listed for the 370gt but plenty for g37 and all the second hand regulators state they fit from years 08-13. -
V36 Sloppy Window Drop
Justin370GT replied to Justin370GT's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Oh sweet thanks for the feedback, surely your 09 would have the same window regulators as an 07 cos I'd be keen to buy new regulators, possibly using the vin from your 09.. I might ring Nissan on Monday and get the exact part number on the regulators for my car and possibly they might know if it is the same for the 09,failing that I could quote the vin off your car as well n see if the part numbers line up the same. -

Do most Nissan regulators run plastic bearings? -
V36 Sloppy Window Drop
Justin370GT replied to Justin370GT's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Iv had the door trim off once to have a quick look and install some extra sound proofing but didn't notice anything out of the ordinary, mind u it's hard to see the important stuff involved with the regulators until u remove the pressed panel that it's all assembled on. I mentioned it to Nissan yesterday while it was in for service but they seem to think it's normal,I'm nearly 99% sure it's not right lol. I looked at a 370gt a few years ago while I still had my 350gt,which had a similar issue and that's the first thing I noticed was how much better, smoother and more refined the 370 was,I think it was a tad newer but the window drop was perfect only dropped like 10mm n was barely noticeable, none of this door shaking n noise garbage lol. Iv really got a feeling it's the regulators that have flogged out. I can't find anything on line about it either.
