  1. Cheeky bugger... One day you'll own something that is confused/accused of being something else Kristian - something like someone calling your Ferrari a FIAT (or for that matter, any euro GM marque a FIAT)
  2. Well there you have it - I stand corrected! Thanks for the clear up Kristian, it should bring the topic to a close for the time being. And to Muz - Sorry to hear that it turned out this way, and that you had to be the one who went through it. I hope that it doesn't sour your taste of the flavour of Japan too much
  3. Tell me about it - I also had a laptop reading consult data in front of me, the dyno operator was monitoring the boost & AFR's and we were both having trouble concentrating on all the information being presented! But it's a good little kit, that's for sure. I'll be building another 2 for my other cars in the near future.
  4. Dennis, as discussed on the phone, keep me posted with how she goes - and if you need any bits, let me know
  5. U13 is Bluebird Use the parts-master program (Nfm010.exe) and feed it the part number in question.
  6. A discussion was had about 3 weeks ago regarding a couple of PM35 350RX Fours that popped up for import - they were contained in a e-mail from the relevant importer. It was a very informative thread, with several importers providing useful input on the situation. But it seems that someone, somewhere upset someone else, and the thread was deleted (I didn't even see where it went wrong - it was gone that quick). It was a shame, because it provided useful insight regarding the future of PM35's in Aus. I think the crux of the matter was it was likely that the 2004+ 350RX Four would be compliable, but hadn't yet been done. Anyone care to comment on this? I think it's correct.
  7. Compatibility with common vehicles in Aus follows: The 50J00 part is common across R32/33/34, RS13/S14, Z32, U13 & A31 The 28B10 part is common across R33/34 Duncan, it's interesting that you state that the 50J00 part is different to the Skyline - FAST shows them as relevant from the lowliest RB20E powered cars right up to, & including the GT-R...
  8. Better late than never I s'pose... With an FMIC, 550cc injectors & 14psi, I'd be expecting more than 200rwhp. I've got pretty much than amount with standard injectors, small PWR w/a IC & only 9psi boost. How fresh is your motor, and is it a factory intercooled model or not (the non-intercooled model came with a bigger turbine)?
  9. Shannon's don't care that I've got a front-mount in my 240Z , 2.8L turbo with after-market ECU, custom brakes (MC, adjustable prop-valve, braided lines, 4-spots & discs/mounts), or fibreglass valence - but they know about all of it. So does Transport SA, and it's all approved. You are best advised to ask what matters, and find out whether you need to tell your insurer about a particular modification. There are some that they won't care about, and others they will.
  10. Or a Falcodore owner? It's a BW diff afterall!
  11. Actually, speaking of Fujitsubo... Who can get the Legalis-R for the C34 around here? Nengun only have the NM35 listed, as do RHDJapan. I see plenty on Importmonster, but no direct Aust. suppliers and the cost is just prohibitive. I'll probably end up heading the same way as you Ryan (as we've discussed), but would be interested to see what kind of price the Fuji can be had for.
  12. Cheers, Sorry we didn't catch up. I spent a while talking to Glenn & others but didn't get a chance to catch up with you. There's half decent photo's of the DR's on the AJD 2009 gallery: http://www.alljapanday.com.au/gallery/main...%2FPICT9036.JPG http://www.alljapanday.com.au/gallery/main...%2FPICT9106.jpg http://www.alljapanday.com.au/gallery/main...%2FPICT9145.JPG and http://www.alljapanday.com.au/gallery/main...%2FPICT9217.JPG PS, it's actually really dark metallic blue, not black. ... And I now return you to the original topic
  13. Have you had it fully mapped yet?
  14. lol, I was referring to the discussion regarding 240Z's with nose cones - they are a 'ZG' model (HS30H) (I know that there were 2x 200ZRII's there, I always liked the 300ZR myself )
  15. You mean ZG, not ZR some good photo's there ppl, highlighting how dirty the underside of the bonnet on my DR is... And it was good to put some more faces to names, and catch up with others. (and some I haven't seen in years, including the '71 240Z owner - who's name escapes me again!)
  16. By having both the PCV & breather vented, you effectively remove the engine from the intake circuit. (Hence no issues) Venting the PCV really does defeat the purpose of having it though...
  17. MAF-metered engines must have a CLOSED induction system in order to run correctly. This means not a single air-leak after the AFM - including; BOV's, oil-filler points, dipsticks, vacuum lines, breathers etc. As previously stated, you need to recirculate your current BOV (ensuring the return is fed in after the AFM), or return the car to standard. There have been reports of the factory BOV's leaking, however this is not all that common at moderate boost levels.
  18. Point taken, but on the non-NEO, they are an assembly. And the OP has a '33.
  19. Or rather than trying to remove coil-packs one-by one (when they're bolted together...), you can do a proper power-balance test, as previously mentioned above. Sorry to sound a little cynical, but we seem to be covering the same ground over & again.
  20. [OT] See all you clowns at AJD - I'll be there with the DR30 [/OT]
  21. I bought a set of manuals back in '05 Parts (including prices) Workshop Manual Engine Manual Owners Manual Having the workshop manual translated would be good, but so far the only things I've really looked at are specifications, which are usually easy enough to interpret.
  22. I paid $23k for my S1 in '04, and lets face it, the price is less than 50% of that now for an S1 in decent nick... I would expect to be able to sell ours for no more than about $10k - and that's simply not going to happen. So, she'll be a keeper, which is fine as we need a good family car! Reuben, keep the S2 - it's not worth selling. As for the S1, be prepared to take a loss in order to offload it. The market is just that crap. I'll send out a few feelers to people that have shown 'interest' in my car when they've seen it (i.e. they would like to own one), and see what happens.
  23. Importmonster is your friend (or Google/Yahoo translate)
  24. Quite right - there is certainly a point of diminishing returns, and increasing visual silliness
