  1. After nearly 13 weeks of waiting my Fujitsubo Legalis R has arrived from Japan. Cannot wait to install it over the weekend and get rid of that droany exhaust my M35 came with
  2. If we catch up before i change my dump pipe you can drive mine to notice the difference
  3. Spotted a Gold M35 pulled over on the Eastlink just outside the Mullam Mullam Tunnel before the Springvale Road turn off city bound, on Saturday 12th of Sep around 5:30pm. Not sure if you were broken down but I was on the other side of the fwy heading towards Ringwood so i couldn't pull over
  4. Gave the stag a much needed wash
  5. Here are some pics I just took, first is low beam, seccond is fog lights and the third is high beams
  6. In mine the top is the low beam (normal night driving) and the bottom is fog and high beams. This could be why there is a h4 with hi-lo in the bottom section.
  7. In all honesty i haven't noticed a major difference, I did change the boost controller at the same time which would effect me noticing the difference in intercoolers. In regards to the boost controller, the factory boost was 1 Bar/14 psi (going off the factory boost gauge) and with the new controller when i have it all set to default the turbo is producing 8 psi. Then with a bit of tuning i have got my low boost set to 10 psi and my high boost set to 16 psi. When tuning i did hit a boost spike of 19 psi but am not willing to run that with stock injectors. With the ecu in the VQ25DET there is a factory boost controller which i have replaced with the GReddy one. The wastegate is now being controlled by the GReddy unit not the factory computer. I am now able to control peak boost, the boost curve and how quick it takes to get to peak boost. The GReddy is a great little unit and very easy to use once you understand how to use it. They are in great condition, so I'm selling them. I advertised them on the Victorian Stagea Division Facebook page and already have a buyer. If he doesn't buy them then ill put them on gumtree or somthing
  8. Nothing against the BC's, they were good while i had them on and i have no faults with them. Just like i said i already had the TEIN's before i got the car, so i was going to swap over whatever came with the car i bought regardless what came with it. Another reason so i knew that the suspension is new and is what i wanted. Don't think i will go EDFC but who knows in the future. I nearly have the car to the state at whcih i wanted it, i just need to do the exhaust now which is on its way from Japan
  9. So on Sunday i installed my TEIN's which i bought back in April on an impulse buy even though i didn't own a Stagea. I was adamant i was going to buy one and i couldn't complain with the price. I wasn't sure how to go about installing them but as i took the wheels off i saw how easy the install was. Took me 3 hours which included me changing the oil. So far i'm very impressed with them and it is sitting 50 mm lower at the front and 25 mm lower in the back. It is very low and i will raise them up a bit and drive on them for about a month and then i will re set the height
  10. Yea its on the way. Won't be using the ac for a while, and my commute to work is 3 mins long so I'm not too stressed
  11. I installed my HDi last weekend. Very simple install, just made a couple of extra mounts to make it a bit more secure
  12. Its the spot i liked the most, i can access it while driving and can easily glance at it while on the move. I did think about mounting it just behind the steering wheel but it would of been had to get to imo
  13. Got started with my mods. Installed my HDi Intercooler, was a simple swap Here is the old vs the new Sitting nicely with a few extra brackets to make it more rigid You can hardly notice it behind the standard front bar Also had time to install the GReddy Profec boost controler that i have had for a while and my GFB Deceptor blow off valve. Now i need to tune the boost controler
  14. Didn't use a high pressure hose as I don't like using them in the engine bay. Only used a hose with no connection. In between me cleaning and using the belt lube was about 2 days (cleaned it on Saturday and sprayed it Monday) not sure how long it would take belts to dry but during that time the noise got louder. When I spoke to the guy at Nissan he confirmed that it has happened on a few occasions that the bearings in the pulley have been dried due to engine cleaning. Tge pulley only cost $40 and I will be ordering some belts as well as I don't know when they were last changed.
  15. I didn't spay any oil onto it, the only lube I used is tacky belt spray which keeps the belts from slipping. I cleaned the underside of the motor with degreaser which some ended up on the idler pulley and cleaned the grease from its bearings causing it to squeal
  16. Thanks for the info guys After a bit more digging around I found that the idler pulley is a sealed unit and by spraying degreaser around the engine bay it is common to clean away the grease in the idler pulley. So to fix my problem i need to replace the pulley. I went to Nissan and after a day and an age for him to find anything on the Stagea he finally finds the part and quoted my $115 and 2 weeks for them to get in in. After a quick Google search i found one on eBay for $40 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/171475121052?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Hopefully this fixes the problem Also i have been using JP-Carparts.com to find the factory part numbers, shich has helped heaps. Here is the link I have been using (http://jp-carparts.com/nissan/figlist.php?maker=nissan&type=153&cartype=8)
  17. Car 2001 RS Four M35 Stagea VQ25DET Over the weekend i cleaned the under side of my engine of dirt grime and oil build up because my mechanic said that i needed to clean the oil build up off the motor to pass RWC. So i got a few degreaser cans from Super Cheap and sprayed underneath the engine and then washed it off. Came up spotless. Now when the car is running there is a squeak/squeal from the belts, I'm unsure if it just the belt or also the tensioner pulley. I have sprayed a bit of belt lube and the sound goes away but then after the car has been siting for an hour or so the squeal comes back. My question is, is there a way to determine whether its the belt or the pulley, and where is the best place to buy a belt/pulley Thanks Luis
  18. Just dropped my Stagea to get a RWC and a few marks on the panels touched up, thumbs up for panel shops that do RWC's. Hopefully comes through with not a lot of issues
  19. Spotted a white C34 with a big KTM sticker on the back on the Hume Hwy near Wallen heading to Melbourne, on Saturday the 27th round 9:30am
  20. Correct me if i am wrong but im not sure the M35 are rated to tow a lot, 1700kg braked from memory and there aren't many tow bars available to suit
  21. Love the pics in the manual
  22. I will be buying locally, and there are a few out there at the moment which im keeping an eye on. Need to sell my Hilux first
  23. Thanks Scotty I do respect your response. I am definitely going to hit you up for a dump pipe and a few other things when I get my Stagea. I've been looking for an ar-x, for the lsd and the other little features like the seats and pop up screen. The height is somthing I am going to fix and maybe some underbody bracing, but I need to sell my current car as I have already begun ordering parts from Japan
