  1. Yes but in it's defence quite some time ago, the BIG crunch was the way they have their hand out for just about everything
  2. I can receive calls should it be necessary , blue tooth earwig that announces who it is and asks if I answer or deny. If I ever have to ring out this too is voice activated. but what I normally do since I am on the road a lot is find a convenient and safe spot to park and exit the Car have a stretch and phone who ever it is I need to contact. It's funny actually as all the Bull shit about using the phone in the hand is IMHO is just that bullshit, a cradle and headset is better , but in reality Text messages and the typing there of is the thing that MUST be knobbled in cars some how. Have an observer with you and seek out some quiet back road and try to drive and text whether it is Hand Held or in some mount or other you WILL find that your car control has just got to shit , now multiply your speed up to highway speed at 100K + now you understand what I am saying. typing a text message is the single thng most likely to distract you sufficiently that you might cover more than 80 - 100 meters without looking at the road, so simulate typing and have the observer with you take note of things around the car at that time and then ask the driver. you will be surprised at just how much you miss. What a load of shit some will sat BUT now move from the highway to suburban streets and even passed a school at 3:00-3:30 with your observer and be prepared to be scared at the potential for pedestrian and other collisions all because you want to be a SLAVE to technology , You are the driver so DO THAT !! Drive!! and not get into some BS animated conversation on the phone where your effective ability to control the vehicle and be aware of your surroundings goes out the window.
  3. rFactor and many many Mods and tracks,
  4. 3-5 PSI was normal for the average red motor mechanical pump, Fuel pressure shouldn't be an issue as the float in the Carb should be regulating properly, I'd look at the possibility that the float needed seats are not sealing 100 % as this can manifest it'self in a number of ways or there might be interference in the Choke bypass circuit that is loading her up with fuel at idle. The audio above sounded pretty clean so it is likely a low speed circuit in the Carbs that needs tuning and balancing. Just had another listen to the Idle video and I concur the suspicion you have the low speed circuit loading it up and the timing at idle seems off too (based on the sound)
  5. XGN, ASRNZ, Hardcore Online Gamer's, Sim Racing Oz are just a couple of the croups I frequent.
  6. Good point Mr Antelope , I have seen systems that use power to keep the 4WD OFF and if there is no power then it drops to fail-safe mode with 4WD ON.
  7. All this would be irrelevant if Driver's actually realised that they are in control of what IS a lethal weapon, IMHO it has nothing to do with having or using a phone, but the distraction factor. Some people cope well with information and other's not. What pisses me off is the way Copper's can drive and talk on a Hand Held mobile yet other's aren't that is discrimination they should lead by example and use the correct Hands free for their phone and Car.
  8. IMHO no but they are suitable for the job
  9. Definately not, NEVER fill a 205 Lit drum beyond 200-205 Litres EVER, you must leave expansion room or you could potentially create a massive situation. If you going to buy fuel in bulk, which is not difficult if your in a rural area get your drum/s fill by a bulk tanker Usually a body truck that often deliver's fuel to several farmer's on the same day. If your smart you will have a cover for them and prop them up on chunk of 4x2 on one side at 90 deg to a line between the 2 bungs , this way any rain or moisture can drain off the top without the possibility of contaminating your fuel. If you use a rotary or a quart stroke hand pump this will also limit any water condensation in the drum from being pumped into your car. Many quart stroke pumps have an inbuilt filter and water trap so this shouldn't be a big deal but it is something to be aware of. Before we moved to where we are now I had a 200 Gal above ground tank and could buy petrol for $1.10 or less / Lit from who ever had the best deal on at the time. Honestly if your not using a LOT of fuel then Drums or Larger are false economy because the fuel can get stale with the volatiles escaping to the atmosphere over time, potential contamination and so on . If your on the outskirts of town it makes more sense to simply buy fresh fuel from you favourite servo. Step one would check the local Council rules before you do anything, And then seek an amicable supplier who can deliver, OR has a depot that you can exchange drums, make sure you have an old light truck tyre that you can drop fresh drums onto from the truck or your trailer and NEVER drop them flat they WILL burst . I grew up on the Farm dealing with all manner of fuels and Lubricants in bulk, so I do know what I taking about.
  10. I LOVE to get some Wood grain panels for the centre console in my Axis but simply can't find any . I'll wait till I swap to a decent Aussie Radio CD until I look again.
  11. Total in Suburbia is 20 Lit for Mower's and so on , BUT as I said these laws have possibly changed but there are restrictions for volumes based on fire risk. The hoops I had to jump through to be allowed to Spray Paint at my place, Airbrush graphics with some base background , thinner's and Paint fumes etc.
  12. You cannot legally keep any more than a 20 Litre drum in your suburban house and Shed , unless the law in this regard has changed, Out on Acreage might be a different story depending on the Land classification , 60 Litre Drum might be all you can store. IF you have 205 Litre then the entire scene changes this might even need to be in a Bund walled enclosure quite possibly with water readily available. Some of the semi urban areas can be tricky.
  13. Quite easy I cut and pasted it as I am so tired I couldn't remember how to spell it. done over 2000K's in the last 2 days bud
  14. OK I can say honestly that the boy's at Capital Steering in Fyshwick. are bloody brilliant , fast efficient, and to be honest brilliant fellas to deal with.so from me a HUGE thumbs up the Peter and the Boys at Capital Steering.
  15. Showing it's age shit man iRacing was never IN the race, rFactor with the newer mods is still way better than iRacing, it IS that simple.
  16. Looks to be running pretty rich , and in answer to the earlier question, run a decent duct up from the side of the Rad and drill holes all reound the Filter body helped a lot as did inverting the lid, this however depends on whether it was one of the big sumbitch oil bath aircleaner's .
  17. Dunno damn nice car though just the same
  18. Hey it isn't something as simple as a dicky switch controlling the 4WD indicator light is it.
  19. From what I understand the Axis crew is like the FPV and HSV with changes right through the system, there are some tweaks done to the management and thus HP and Torque but I have not been able to verify this along with some unsubstantiated mods to the ATESSA control system and VQ25DET engine/ Another thing is the super clean exterior with the only badging present on the tailgate a Nissan Logo no bigger than the one on the steering wheel. and the Axis and Autech badges. I love this car for it's smooth drive-ability, and comfort for my clients during the snow season.
  20. Here ya go my Axis Autech
  21. Assetto is still a WIP but will improve at time goes on a Race sim league I belong too has a number of server's on Asseto
  22. Try Assetto Corsa .
  23. I simply will not compromise safety for the sake of being "Cool" aint much good being the coolest dude in the Graveyard. And a word of advice NEVER use any alloy fastener's in a motor vehicle to do with Engine, Suspension, Wheels. Chassis
  24. I will not give iRacing HDD space as it is IMHO Shite compared to other racing simulations available especially when you consider your required to buy most of your content. The way the cars behave is about as believable a a $3 note as well Just sayin
  25. Same name too BTW
