  1. Indeed, but I think your chances of getting big corporate sponsorship is low unless you run in V8 Supercar categories etc
  2. Pretty much, I had thought about doing it more profressionally, with a website, sponsor details, business statement etc, but that seems like a heap more effort than just asking for sponsorship
  3. There are so many opinions on oils its kinda pointless asking for opinions, go with what you feel comfortable with. http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/32925-what-viscosity-oil-do-you-use-your-skyline.html
  4. Most of my sponsors are companies I've dealt with during the build, and they tend to provide parts and services for free. I've also had sponsors pay for entry into events etc. I'd love to think someone would throw wads of cash my way, but I think it depends on the level and type of motorsport your competing in. It's a pretty tough economic time to ask companies for cash.
  5. Cool, feel free to throw some free oil my way
  6. Mobil 1 Full Synthetic
  7. Cool, good stuff
  8. +1 AnyTime Towing
  9. It can quite easily be due to a change in resistance, possible caused by a dry solder or poor connection. This will reduce the voltage available to the cluster, which could explain the higher reading. So I'd also measure the resistance across the terminals on the cluster side, as that is the most likely candidate.
  10. I found this on the web, not sure how useful it is, but it's probably a good starting point
  11. How did they get in ? Deadbolts, window locks etc are all worth while. Plus think about imobilizing the cars in other ways, like leads to the CAS or ignition harness etc
  12. That's the bit I'm taking away from this thread
  13. I'm getting a Braille Battery, only weights 3kg http://www.autocraft.au.com/braille/index.html
  14. Why not buy some flared fibreglass guards ? Most of the flaring I've seen leads to cracking of the paint
  15. http://www.shell.com.au/home/content/aus/aboutshell/media_centre/news_and_media_releases/2011/v-power_wa_06072011.html This press release suggests it started being deliverd on Monday 13/7/11, so may already be at some stores
  16. Good stuff, will watch the build with interest
  17. I can't see it being that much better/worse than any of the other 98's. However BP gaurentee there's to always be 98 or greater. With the Shell V-power you can use your 4c a litre off using Coles vouchers.
  18. Yes, a few people from the SAUWA Club went along The upshot is we'll be getting V-Power at 40 Shell/Coles Express outlets
  19. Why won't these threads die ?
  20. You'll get so many opinions it's hardly worthwhile. Here is a listing, ring around and see who offers the best price. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/191756-consolidated-workshop-business-listing-thread/
  21. What ECU are you running ? Personally I'd install the O2 sensor, you'll get better mileage. Have you checked your spark plugs, chances are they're coated from running too rich. What color smoke is it blowing ?
  22. So other than the surging its all good ?
  23. Personally if it's a street car than I'd have the 02 Sensor working, as closed loop control will give you much better fuel economy.
