  1. Hi guys, Just dredging up an old thread, as it's got quite alot of useful info in it already. In the rules for the race category I'm trying to compete in there are two options for rear wings: 1. Rear Wing (factory std); rear wing assemblies fitted as factory standard by the vehicle manufacturer are permitted but must remain unmodified. 2. Rear Wing (non-std) for all other vehicles; it is permitted to fit a non-standard rear wing assembly provided that it is single element and complies to the dimensions in Diagram 3 (shown below). They also must not extend further rearward than the extremity of the rear bumper. I currently have a non-std GT Style Wing, which well exceeds the dimensions shown in Diagram 3, however I could modify the stays to make it fit within the dimensions. Or I could purchase an R33 GTR wing, which was apparently an option on GTS-t's, and utilise the standard wing adjustment Thoughts on which might be the better option ?
  2. Doesn't take a genius to work it out, as even Mikey (Kaido RR) knew Good luck, let us know the outcome.
  3. There is plenty of people who do track stuff, including myself, but most of those events have dedicated forums, i.e. IPRWA, SCRAWA, No Limits etc. I know a number of people entering the event, should be a good night.
  4. Spots are filling fast, jump in quick to grab the last few
  5. Steal my post why don't you
  6. Cool, let us know
  7. See the pic in this thread. Search is your friend http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Wi...html&hl=vct
  8. +1, give it a go, will answer the question very quickly.
  9. Glad to see you're in
  10. +1 for the Exedy clutches Easy to drive, and will hold plenty of power
  11. Well get a new clutch then
  12. The dyno graph doesn't look bad to me, I'd have expected some big flatspots if the VCT wasn't working. I'd do back to back run with the VCT plug connected and disconnected.
  13. Hi Levi, Driver Training on the 31st, come along
  14. http://www.camsmanual.com.au/pdf/10_gen_re...dule_G_Q410.pdf CAMS says it should be ok, but that is only for events run under CAMS rules. For drag racing its different, need to check with ANDRA.
  15. Hopefully it will be ready for the next one
  16. I little bit of both, but if helps you get through DT then do it
  17. The car just tends to have some flat spots when the VCT isn't working, should be really obvious on a dyno.
  18. No worries, the default setpoint would be fine as a starting point. The on-off points are the same for acceleration as deceleration.
  19. It's being held on Friday evening I believe, so ..... should be a good night then
  20. Yeah, I have it in my car We setup the switch whilst it's on the dyno, so you can optimise the on/off rpm settings, as it is dependant on alot of factors like cams, headwork etc.
  21. Will it make you smell better ?
  22. Alternately you can use this to switch the VCT if you can't get the PowerFC repaired. http://www.msdignition.com/Products/RPM/Ti...dow_Switch.aspx Personally I'd double check the VCT solenoid by wiring directly to it, to mkae sure that the ECU is actually the issue.
  23. Get a 2nd set of rims (stock) for doing track stuff then
  24. Lip your guards
  25. What category of racing are you planning to compete in ? Steve Myburgh runs in Sports Car but there are a few other cars prepped by HyperDrive than run in other race categories. Also LF Performance and ProRace build and work on alot of race cars too. Drop me a PM if you like and I'll give you my personal opinion.
