Hi All , does anyone know how I can work out if the ecu below is standard or changed ? I know some suppliers do provide a plug and play ecu which you take the current board out and replace it . Mine has some wire cuts on the wiring which suggests that may have been changed . also when you connect to the car using consult port, do you just open the key as with obd 2 or do you need to switch the car on ? what software do you recommend that is free ? many thanks

Hi All, I have a question on air filter on my skyline and max boost I can run . it is skyline r34 r25det standard . I know reading around people do say do not run the boost more that 0.85 which is around 11psi on the standard engine . If I purchase a boost controller can I increase the boost to 11 psi and remove the 2 stage solenoid ? what bhp should I expect ? if I run it too high, is the worst case, wastegate opens at 1 bar = 14 psi ? if turbo is abused would that only fail with nothing else going with it ? what are the symptoms of a tired or failed turbo ? my filter is one of the cheap cone ones as per the picture below. I want to replace it with K&N , would k&N which retail at £79 in the UK be good enough for up to 450-500bhp which I want to achieve by changin turbo and manifold in future ? Also I should mention I have received a large front mounted intercooler with my car so will be planning to install it which I think makes the air denser and cooler. picture of my air filter

Hi All, My firs post here so hi all:) I am in the UK and have recently purchased a skyline r34 gtt . I am well pleased with it but have few questions . when brakingfrom 50mph upward the wheel vibrates badly , does anyone know why? I think it is warped disc as it shakes and have an off and on feeling when coming to stand still at traffic lights. I have checked the front tyres and one side have a very small ball joint play but that will not cause such a huge vibration . Many thanks
