I don't mind spending a bit of coin on a quality product... I have seen many GTRs with cheap ebay china stuff... don't like it. Haven't checked the cooling pro one. But not the correct radiator: Nissan Skyline R33 GTS/GTS-T (RB25de/RB25det) - Nissan Skyline R33 GTR (RB26dett) - Nissan Skyline R34 GT/GT-T (RB25de/RB25det Neo) - Nissan Stagea WGNC34 (RB25DE/RB25det) - Nissan Stagea 260RS Autech Version (RB26dett) Back to the question: What's the difference between the two? Is it just old/new generation radiators? If so, which is newer?

To be honest, I read good things and bad things about nearly ALL radiators (including KOYO and PWR), whether it be leaking out of the box, or installation fitment issues.

To check coilpacks - disconnect (the electrical connector) one by one, if the engine misses, that coil is fine, if it doesnt, that coil is faulty. Would you like to buy one?

Yeah! Thing is, not many forum topics (or that I can find) describes failed splitfire coilpacks. I hear that OEM is best, but no topic says that Splitfire is inferior in anyway as well. In saying that, I bought the car with the Splitfires installed. So I don't know how long or how many kms it's been used for...

Ended up being the coilpacks. One of them is faulty. When one of the coilpacks heats up, it starts missing. To check coilpacks - disconnect them one by one, if the engine misses, that coil is fine, if it doesnt, that coil is faulty. Replaced them and all good to go again. Goes to show that even Splitfires can be faulted. Thanks for the help guys! Problem solved!

Same thing, cannot be the o2 sensors, drove around disconnected and same thing. Gonna take it to the mechanics tomorrow. Any more suggestions before I head off there?

Could it be o2 sensors? I'll drive around with them disconnected for a bit and see how it goes... I'll report on it in a few days.

Okay, just got back to melbourne.. decided to check out the conditions of the coil packs and spark plugs.. -Looks like I already have splitfires installed (no visual damage). -NGK iridium bcpr7iex sparkplugs which looks in reasonable condition. -The coil pack loom, visually looks like in good condition. -It was running fine before so I highly doubt it's the tune. I don't know the condition of the fuel filter, I'll change it however I'll have to wait till it comes in. I've put everything back together and it runs fine. However, and just as before, sometimes it struggles and runs sluggish. Sounds like a WRX boxer engine... Maybe it's time to go to the mechanics?

Can't even measure it with your fingers! Are gaping tools that accurate?

I just order a few parts, splitfires, 6x bcpr7es, and a fuel filter from kudos. Hopefully they will solve the issue. Will keep you guys posted! Oh by the way, the spark plugs are pre gapped to 0.9mm. I'm gonna have to gap them to 0.8mm. Curious.. How much of a difference does 0.1 of a mm make?

Thanks guys, yeah sorry. Probably was a bit unclear at the start. Wanted to know if that sounds like a misfire before I start dealing with ignition. Car is stock with power fc and boost controller, that's it. Don't think it's tune because it was running fine prior. I'm currently away for a week. So thought it be a good opportunity to order some things.

Hey everyone Got a problem with my car. Symptoms are stuttering and rumbly, loud engine noise, and low on power/ struggle to rev. However it only does this maybe around 3 days a week? Other days it is fine. Is this a misfire? I never had an engine misfire before. If so, should I go about swapping to new spark plugs and coil packs? (Thinking of swapping to new coil packs anyway as my ones are still stock and therefore old) Should I go to a mechanic first? Maybe they have a device to check if I'm misfiring? Or if it's not a misfire, should I do something first? Thanks in advance guys

Normal off boost driving. It looks like I got a cheap ebay aluminium radiator installed by the previous owner (I assume its still better than oem?). I don't think its holding pressure as it is pushing coolant to the overflow bottle. Do I just need to replace the cap? Any super cheap auto radiator cap? Or do I need one of those high performance ones?

Just driving around Melbourne traffic in this 42 degrees weather with my aircon on full blast. Just curious, what kinda temperatures are you guys getting? I'm reaching around 98 degrees for both oil and water temps after a long drive. Car is an r34 gtr.
