On my old r33 the switch was to the left of the steering wheel. u had 2 options up as in always up down as in its down when ur stationary just to clean it or just leave the switch in the middle and it pops down after 70kmh (i think) and goes up at 50kmh and under - or the other way round

if your worried about them stealing your keys... just get a keypad fitted to your alarm so you have to type in a pin number everytime you start your car -
