what was his car actually impounded for? racing? I havent heard about a loss of license for first offence under the anti hoon legislation. I thought, for the first offence, the police officer who has sufficent evidence of the suspect committing a hoon offence, has the power to impound the vehicle for 48 hours without a court order. On the second or subsequent offence, the court may then impound the vehicle for 3 months.

I'd expect it would give the older generation some satisfaction to see that hoons are being caught and shamed for their actions. Not totally useless.

I'm not that keen on surfing much anyway. Well I can surf but its not essential. It would be nice to live as close as possible to the beach... always been a plan of mine to live like that. laid back night life sounds awesome sounds great!
