  1. spotted a green r33 gtst going down the manaro around 6ish today

The way i have always taken it as being changes made to an existing turbo, the company makes it then someone else bores it out for more air flow. like when i had my mazda mx6 with an IHI 12 i think when i got it rebuilt i got it hi flowed which ment boring the walls of the copression housing out so it had more air volume. im happy to be corrected tho if im wrong Cheers

  4. Saw some off you out in braddon there, drove past in a white BA ford with massive rims didnt even notice till after we passed or else i would have been hanging out the window
  5. it shouldnt, my experiance is prolly the worst of the worst. i dont understand why i was never rude or anything, they just had it in for me for some reason, i didnt even have that much trouble with my mx6 which had sooo much work done to it, and it wasnt engineered!!!
  6. I had the worst experiance with my R taking it over dickson, they just didnt want to pass me!! First off i had all the import papers as well as compliance papers and it was registered in NSW for me but i needed to put it over dickson anyway. First i had the police check which came back fine, then they checked it and failed me on my upper tie rod end on the passanger side i think it was. but everything else passed. then i got called up and was asked to come down, i did and there were some detectives there that threatened to take my car away because it was apparenly stollen!!! WTF!!! I found out later that the place in sydney that engineered the car where under investigation but i dont know how they thought it was stollen i had the import papers with the same engine number and everything as it was imported into the country with. then a guy from dickson said to go and get it re engineered and then come get it registered so another 400 bucks down the drain!!! i put it in to have the tie rod fixed. took it over the pits again and they said the tie rod was still no good so i took it back to get fixed my machanics said there was nothing wrong with it, so i got all new ones from nissan and had them installed, took it over the pits again and they still said the tie rod end was no good ITS f**kING BRAND NEW!!!!!! i nearly lost the plot.... i pointed out that everything under there had been replaced, then they said my exuast was too loud WHAT!!!! they had passed it all the other times. so they marked everything down as being fine except the exaust. i was fed up and lucky i can just take the muffler off i did that and made up a muffler smaller than a mazda 121 HAHA it didnt make a noise.... well it barley ran but it was quiet. funny as 3 1/2" goinging into 1/4" at the tip. took it over the pits again and the guy looked at the sheet saw he oly needed to test the sound i drove the car where he wanted it he stood there for a bit then came around to my window and said "you got to be joking how long is that muffler going to stay on ther" i just said it was no concern to him. he was so angry but tested it anyway hehe reved it to 3 grand and it would have been luck to even register on the machine. he marked it off and through the paper at me.... i just dont know what there problem was they just didnt want to pass me. i hope i never have to go over again after that experiance hope it all goes well tho for ya

  15. 1000 CC injectors and a re tune nothing more needed like her just the way it is maybe a re spray same gun metal but with a hint of gold in it too.....

Hey All, Its been a while since i was on here, Had my head down and arse up with work for a while, but im back, and got alots still planned for my R... mmmmm cant wait!!!, Hey does everyone still get together these days on fri night? Anyway i thought i would let everyone know there is a new car site and forums www.ctracing.com.au Its not a car club but it wants to be a central hub for the canberra car scene, it was just released today. anyway check it out if ya like just thought i would let everyone know about it.

I filled up with the optimax extreme and my gtr has been running awesome, after filling up a drove it home and in the morning reset the ecu and let it remap.... and it hasnt run this well in ages, seems to pull harder accelerate smoother.... its been really good!! just my 2cents, and also i seam to be using less fuel than usuall, so im all for it!!!
  20. yeah that 200 has been at alot of autosalons and to my memory it is pretty damn crazy under the hood, when i last sore it the was mention of upto 200k spent all up on the car... dont know how correct that is and it was a good 4 years ago i heard that. but i know for a fact its not all cosmetic!
  21. Well nothing really. They changed the oil just in case but it made no difference. and it would have taken 3 hours to fix a machanical one and that was too long for it only going in there to check. My machanic made me feel a little better because he has build one of these up for his boat and is having the same issue. the only thing is his engine is brand new we are talking the only old component is the block everything else is aftermarket and brand new and he has the same oil pressue as mine he said it looked like the stock gauge was correct basically i was told as long as the read light doesnt not come on at idle the engine will be fine. i forgot what it is switched at its like if it drops to below 10psi oil pressure or something the light will come on. and since the stock gauge isnt in psi 15psi looks like 0 anyway. so hopefully it is all good the pressue has been showing better recently with the different oil in it. Basically i was told it should be fine.
  22. I use redline light wieght shock proof in the transfer too... its great no complaints so far

Yeah im worried about it i can only hope its something simple and if its not then i hope no damage has been done. its always had some form of pressure cause the little red light has never come on, which is the one this that is aparently not faulty with the whole oil setup on these cars. I have it booked in for wedsday next week to have everything checked out. Does the engine actually have to come out to replace the oil pump?

  25. Hey all Im just wondering if anyone here has installed an aftermarket oil pressue gauge to a GTR and if so how easy is it? (like is there an aftermarket gauge with sender that fits in the existing spot on the engine) I ask because my oil pressue has been random lately. in the mornings it is fine normal oil pressue at start up but after that its random i could drive all over canberra and it would be fine, turn the car off turn it back on and it will sit at 0 and sometimes creep just above, then sometimes it will be at zero for half the trip and then bounce back to normal, then i stop at the lights and it drops to 0 the red light never comes on. so im guessing it is the sender with this type of behavour, i want to see if there is something better than forking out 200+ for a new nissan sender. any help would be great.
