Nah T88 is too big plus its not BB as for internals yeah granted you need them for massive power, but with a single turbo setup you dont need massive power and heaps of boost to start with and the standard internals can take some power before a rebuild is nessasary ive heard up to 500 - 600HP which is all i would want to start with then once the engine needs a rebuild do it properly then crank the boost up and go after massive power... but as i said im just thinking about it cause i have family in all the different automotive areas, from exhaust shops to tires. and i was thinking a single turbo would be so much cheeper could get something like this or this for like 2.5K where two good turbos cost like 5.5K and a nice tuned lenth exhaust manifold would only cost me like 600 and get all the pipping done would be so much cheeper hehe and would look cooler too

Ok i have been reading up on different turbo setups for the GTR ive been thinking on going single turbo (650 - 750Hp) with one big intake splitting off to the two air flow meters. but i would still like a twin setup just get two bigger turbos say (400 - 450HP) with custom manifold etc. I would greatly appreciate others opinions on here, like what they think the pros and cons are and what they personaly think of the two setups? Cheers

mmm well thats ok cause i have an after market fuel pump know that for sure apart from it saying on the engineering papers you can hear it but damn if it was detonating im sure the engine would have suffered but there is no signs of it, engine still have good comp... or a i was just really really luck i got a new controller in there since so no more going above 15 for me
-
Yeah i run 16 on then but im unsure if they are completely stock turbos have not had the car that long and still finding stuff out about it, was running on about 16 when i first got it ad 10 on low. On this question how much boost should the fuel system keep up with? cause just the other night my electronic boost controller scewed up and i wasnt really paying attention to my boost gauge but i thought to my self damn the car seams to be hammering and out of the corner of my eye when i accelerated my boost gauge went past 20psi and i was like ahhhhhhhhh but the wired thing is it wasnt detonating was running nice and the turbos seem fine and it wasnt just for a second it was on 20psi of a good haul... but i was so worried afterward. would the stock system be able to handle something like that?? or would there be something no standard there? its really a lucky dip when getting stuff imported.

well then its settled ill go give chris a call

Hey all, ok i have posted this in the general matanance area but im hoping someone here might be able to shed some light on what i can do? but looks like i will have to do some searching for the parts. does anyone know where i could get these? any other cars that it could interchange with?? damn nissan not supplying them
-
Thanx for the input. I was looking through the manual last night i a belive i know what they are talking about. they did say it is the steering arm and in brackets (lower link suspention). for people with the manual CH-232 is the page and its called the lower link which looks to hook up to the hicas for the steering. and says only for cars with super hicas. It is these two links that are stuffed and are causing the wheels to have alot of play. when it is jacked up you can actually rock them back and forward a bit to much for anyones liking is this what the lock bar replaces?? where could i source these lower links from since nissan is no help
-
I new a guy at the garage so they gave the inspection for free. I am not sure how the arse end works on these things (new to them) but he said the left and right rear steering arms (link lower suspension) is gone.. has heaps of playand when driving you can hear a clunck when it tries to steer. nissan quoted $113 for the left and $217 for the right and nissan also said they wont be able to get any right ones into the country and dont know when they could get them in if at all. the guy there said that the bar to remove the rear steering would fix this... i should have payed mort attention to what they were saying but what is written on the sheet is what ive said on here.

Hey all, I have just had a rego check done on my GTR to transfer rego, and it failed because the rear stearing arms (link lower suspension) have play in them too much. they are not that much too get them is just sourcing them thats the problem, nissan said they didnt have any right ones in the country and looks like they wont for a long time if at all. it would be easyer just to remove the hicas system i just wanted to know would it be better to get rid of the hicas in the GTR? i have heard they handle better without it. or would it be better just the get the rear steering fixed? and if so anyone know where i could source the right and left link lower suspension? cheers

yep offical fuel for v8 super cars. hey you can even tell when there filling them cause optimax is that dank yellow colour and you can see it going through the hoses. no there fuel is that colour. most hi oct fuels are clear exept some av gas, airports add colour to the fuel so if they catch it being illegally used they know where it came from.
-
alot of bikes cant run optimax because the engines dont run hot enough to burn the aditives. i dont mind either i use optimax in the mx6 always have, i have run both in it and always ran better on optimax. where ive only ever run Ultimate in the GTR. just personal choice and some cars may like it some might not. optimax cant be that bad the v8 super cars use it and there not exactly slow or stock.

can no one help me? I stuggling finding any without having the filters come with. -
Ok im looking for adapter pipes/flanges for the GTR so i can put some K&N filters on it. they do have an adapter for it but they are small and both the same. everyone i have seen in a gtr are different for both intakes so it can fit two pods in there. I know blitz kits etc come with them. but im just looking for the adapters so i can put my own filters on. dont feel like spending a small fortune on getting an entire kit from someone like blitz, apexi etc is there anywhere that sells these and or makes these?

Hahaha yeah well to nissans i am new but not to cars. so i wouldnt let my self get fooled too much.... :nowigetit cheers mate i knew one would of been the factory amp. thats cool so ill make a note .. dont touch any of them! ill do my own wiring for the sound so i wont need the amp, but ill leave it alone. -
Hi all. Ok I was just curious to know what the 3 box things under the parcel shelf are on my r32 GTR? i was havng a look at replacing the factory speakers and when i was looking under from the boot there is 3 controllers of some kind. two rectangle ones and one round one all have fairly big wiring loomes coming out of them and going off into the car. i have seen similar kinds in nissans but they have been amp pre outs for the factory stereo but not three of them and not that much wireing.
