Nice - the blue "666" race car is brutal. In regards to C110 wagons, the most modified I've seen are that blue one and this very mild one (attached). I agree they have potential, but I seem to recall they were only SWB (happy to be shown otherwise!) so it would be kind of silly. How about a wagon with GT-R flares, and an SR20DET? Now that would be different...

No more entries?? I think I found something I prefer to the black one in "badass"ness.
-
But this takes the cake for me.

Nice candy orange C110 . . . .

Oh man this sucks. Weird, I think I saw you on the Gold Coast yesterday? Or Tues or Monday... forget now. Anyway, looks repairable surely. Is the bonnet bent at all? Doesn't look it's had a whack but from the curvature it does...

Question About The Pc110 Skyline
Alfadog replied to ChokudoriDR30's topic in Classic & Vintage (1950's-1980's)
Hi Chokudori! The first thing we must clarify is that this car is a short wheel base model C110. Sorry if you already know this... but basically there were the long wheel base (in sedan and hardtop) and the short wheel base (in sedan, hardtop and wagon). The long wheel base models were powered by the L20, L20E, L24 or S20. The short wheel base models were powered by the G16 or G18 (at least that's all I have seen). The extra length of the LWB is in the engine bay. This is, of course, to fit the six cylinder engine. Otherwise they are pretty similar. The LWB got IRS whereas the SWB did not. I would imagine they could be swapped over with a bit of work but don't quote me on that! A six cyl L-series engine will NOT bolt up. This is the main reason for the SWB and LWB models. Do not kid yourself - this was the base model Skyline and never had any performance intentions. If you really want a SWB (some people do) then I think it looks pretty good (prepare to find a fair bit of rust though from what we can see on the boot), but I would just buy the bigger brother GC110. Like Warps said though, if you live in Australia, just buy a 240K (they're almost exactly the same to JDM GC110). edit: here is a picture that shows the shorter bonnet length a bit better, for those interested -
Yup, hawt.

I like YOU!!

!!

Yup, according to service manuals they should be the same ie FS5W71B 1st 3.321 2nd 2.077 3rd 1.308 4th 1.000 5th 0.864 REV 3.382 However, apparently C210 got 3.9 R180 whereas C110 got 3.545. So yeah, I'd like a 3.9!
-
For reference, here's a picture I took when I did mine, showing the C110 stick (straight) and the S30 stick (bent). Are you sure you've got a C210 box? Not that it really matters, just the ratios may be different.
-
Yeah did that too.. was just a bastard for some reason. heh! Anyway, the 240K gear lever isn't like an L... it's straight! Sounds like you got a lever from something else... Z cars have a kink in them, like ... (excuse my poor ascii skillz) | / | Dunno.. I might have a spare 240K one soon though, will let you know. I dont know about all the synchros and stuff, best bet is to find a good gearbox place and ask them :| Easier said than done
-
What's the difference? I'd save up for some new synchros. Get 1st, 2nd and 3rd done and your box will be better than any 2nd hand box.

LOL Don't worry man, we mounted the flywheel to the auto spacer thing too... was a real bitch!! Then we had to take it off. hahaha Don't you have a service manual? Check the wiring diagram and it'd be easy as. Or just play guess and check... I can scan in the wiring diagram if you need it, just ask. Sounds like you went pretty trouble-free!! On my car, the new clutch wasn't the same as the old one, so had to figure out what it was... Turns out most Nissan clutches are ALMOST the same. Went with a bit of a educated guess at 280ZX and we got it right. Plenty of other problems too - the worst bit IMO was the bloody pedals! Hope you had fun Lachlan

Who's 240k Is This? (melb)
Alfadog replied to funkymonkey's topic in Classic & Vintage (1950's-1980's)
I don't see any "Skyline" bits - looks like a stocko 240K in need of a lot of TLC! Nice spotting all the same -
In a C110 you can use the auto one.... C210 is PROBABLY the same. Good luck!
-
Any C110's down there? What other cars have you noticed?
-
You might be surprised how easy it is. Never done it on an R series car but I just did it with some mates on my C110 and it was not hard at all. A few more electric bits and computerish stuff but I can't imagine it would be too difficult. You might want the gearbox dust cover too if it is different auto/manual. Are the centre consoles different ?

I Found A C210 Stove Top Tail Light!
Alfadog replied to hot_c210's topic in Classic & Vintage (1950's-1980's)
Take note that those are only the light units to replace stock JDM C210 lenses (no surround as shown on box). They appear to be aftermarket "tinted" lenses... BTW, unfortunately I never heard a reply back from Yarra Valley. -
I just did this on my C110. I bought a whole car for the swap... and I do not regret it, even if I spent a LOT more than just the price of the car in the end. New clutch, machine flywheel, new bushes and bearings, degreaser (lots of), gearbox oil, new master and slave cyls, couple of jacks and jackstands...... it all adds up. Anyway, having a parts car also makes it easier for reference of how things go together. As does a service manual. The C210 should be similar enough to the C110 that won't need a new pedal box - just plonk the clutch pedal on the end of the fulcrum shaft. Don't quote me on that though. Unless you're really hotting the car up I don't see why you'd bother swapping anything other than a C210/C110 (they're the same FS5W71B) 5-speed in... 280ZX box might have nicer ratios though.

Very nice rims! I am surprised 10.5J fit on the front without any rubbing! Paint looks good too.

This is in America, the guy has put a hell of a lot of work into this car very quickly. I wouldn't choose those wheels personally but hell, who's complaining?! Very hot. The rear wing is what the real GTR's came with from factory. The angle isn't very good - I think the spoiler is awesome, and the fact that he's kept the car visually pretty stock looking is a definite plus for me.
