  1. LOL, I was going to be the third or fourth person to post in this thread a few days ago. I got a few sentances in and just gave up on posting all together. Man, honestly, they are dealers, they drive the cars they have in the yard around. I promise to you that 70km of driving isnt going to damage anything, and being a dealer as well, he wont have thrashed it. Many many dealers I know just drive around as if its just a daily, which to them, not being their cars, it is. Id say you just be quiet now and understand you EASILY got the better end of the deal. Petrol voucher, rims and tyres...
  2. presumably so, but the angle between the projector and the windscreen might not be adequate to be on a horizonatal after reflection. Get it?
  3. MV automatics in Adelaide.
  4. Yes, it is a factory option. There was also a factory option tacho that sits on the A pilar.
  5. ditto
  6. LOL is all ive got to say I will get Ben to tune my car too, but dammit, I need that DFA back from SK first.
  7. what time will you be there, my work is about 3 minutes away so i might as well drop in and say howdy.
  8. Well, how about someone be the first to just buy a R34 power FC, plug it in, and see if it fits. Someone has to be the guiney pig.
  9. "whats a matter alex, them damn gtr's holding the track beast up again?" Sorry, I dont get that comment? Track beast? A 1800kg wagon? Sorry but I doubt it. Its rather just something a little different. Its for sale anyway now, moving onto something much more fun than i'd say any GTR would be, you just gotta be into them. Ok, you didnt mention any names, but implications are enough. Imagine being in a hall full of black people, and yelling "WHITE PEOPLE ARE THE BEST", that would imply that you think lower of black people as they are not equal. It doesnt matter if you didnt imply it either, if people interperate it as an implication, thats enough to make it one, which clearly the very first poster did.
  10. Dezz, what is your personal vendetta against NS.com? Every chance that I see you take qoutes of there, post on here and act as if your shit dont stink and you are number 1. Kim wasnt saying that by owning an import you have the duty to speed, but rather saying that whats the point of driving a fast car, modifiying your car, spending SHIT loads of money on your car if you are not going to "use" it in a worth while manner (Speaking of street driven cars only). He claims you could be just as well off buying a SMART car as they are better on the fuel, if you are only using your car to go from point A to point B. If you like the looks, get a non-turbo line/sil/soarer/supra etc. Everyone, absolutely everyone with an import gives it some stick some time. Thats not to say they do 100 over or whatever, but just because you only do it once in a week, and other once in a day, that doesnt make your any better or worse. One murder is just as bad as 100 murders mate. How about you just keep the knowledge that you are the child of god to yourself, and bask in it at home and understand the idea that everyone gets whats coming to them eventually so there is no need to preach your views and impose your opinions on others. I am sure everyone understands the consequences of their actions.
  11. Use the dimensions of SK's R33 gtr wheels to get an idea of tolerances.
  12. Here are a few things from my mind. WGNC34 ----> R34 chassis based, but R33 parts used, possibly to finish stock at Nissan? Maybe they didnt want to release the NEO in the stageas before they did in the Skylines, where the Skylines only came out in 98 with the NEO's and the Stageas in 96/97 could have had the NEO's? This could account for the mismatching between parts in the Stageas, for example, the rear brakes are different in a model revision in the S1's in late 97. The rear brakes change from the R33 GTS4 to the R34 GT (whatever is N/A and 4wd) Similar could have happend with the ECU. Also, dont forget that Stageas are detuned in comparison to their Skyline counterparts, not only with power but torque as well. Maybe Nissan decided to go for a newer ECU in the Stageas as it was released later (96, compared to R33's in 93) and it was difficult to pass emissions regulations etc? Who bloody knows, but its a freaking mix and match these cars! ALSO. Both the S2 R33 engines and R34 engines have VVT, just on the R33's the VVT is on/off, where on the R34 engines it is infinatly variable. THis is what helps the NEO's be slightly better on the fuel. To also clear up a few other things, R33 S2 turbos have Nylon compressor wheels, the same as the R34 NEO turbos.
  13. Expensive, yes. You are talking 1000-1500 to replace the bands. Go for Kevlar bands as they are not much more expensive than standard but much stronger. Its the labour that is the killer.
  14. That 1010tyres calculator is the bomb, I always use it for new wheels/tyres and compare it to what I know fits (AKA, R33 GTR wheels)
  15. It was pretty much three stageas, met up, cruised down to the local spot and chit chatted over some drinks/food. Dont think anyone took any pictures.
  16. Take it off power mode? Gearbox slipping?
  17. Can someone please call me 0439 909 610 or SMS me the meet point (address for my GPS) and the time. Cheers
  18. The whole engine bay, driveline, suspension, interior, computers and uhh, chassis.
  19. I will take the engine harness too probably. I will also want to take the interior part that is the A pillar as long as it has no cuts/holes in it.
  20. Not 100% correct there. Splitfires are blue, OEM are black. The blue color makes them give more power, remember Seriously, they are the same as OEM, just fark loads cheaper.
  21. OK guys, here is what ive found with my investigations into the 260RS's about 3-4 months ago, which I also posted in various threads. * Series 2 260RS's exist. * By checking VIN numbers and things in FAST, ive found that the turbos/block/gearbox are all R33 GTR, making me beleive that the S2 260RS is just a upgraded front. * The cost of the S1 vs S2 260RS's is about 10,000AUD landed/complied MORE for the S2 * Unjustifiable cost in my opinion when you could just do a front conversion on the S1 for less than 10,000AUD * HOWEVER, you are getting a lower KM RB26, but might not be worth if you are going to modify it/rebuild anyway Hence, after my investigations, I found that a rough/blown motor 260RS would suit me best. Cant ever rule out other little things though, such as maybe upgraded interior and other long-term servicable items such as wheel bearings, brake cylinders, globes etc etc etc
  22. Series 2 260RS's so exist, but only like 250 or so were made I think. Not much demand I guess...
  23. Sounds fine to me as well.
  24. - AIR DEFLECTORS!!! (I've got dibs!) - Your rear diff (complete diff inc housing, going to weld it/drop front shaft for some RWD fun) - Handbrake pads (If in decent condition, I need new handbrake pads) - Plastic surround on front driver door skin for the handle to open the door. - (NOT SURE IF YOU HAVE IT) The motor in the rear hatch that closes the boot itself. Will think of more later
