  1. ok, i was under the impression it somehow "robbed" the rear of power. ok, cool, question answered
  2. i will be, cars going to spray paint early next week....
  3. not the normal "pull the fuse" type question but here goes I want to do some burnouts, I know it is best to remove the driveshaft but torque is still transfered to the front wheels, just not put down onto the ground due to well... lacking a drive shaft Soooooo - if i remove the drive shaft do i still get "full" power to the rears for roasting or only 50% as the other 50 is being transfered through the imaginary drive shaft or - if by removing the fuse AND drive shaft, i eliminate the normal "residual pressure" issue will i get more power to the rear? Hope you all understand what i am asking here...
  4. They are good catback systems, Fujitsubo Legalis R They are not R33 wheels IMO, they are more rounded. My stag came with R33 wheels and I reckon that yes they suited, only if they were 17's not 16's id have kept em
  5. airflow and boost dont have any direct correlation. think of it this way, when you put your finger over the end of a hose it make it higher pressure, but the flow of the hose doesnt change does it?
  6. 0.65mm? I ran 0.8mm with 1 bar and no issues on stock untuned ECU.
  7. the gauge will never read more than the boost, this is because extra pressure isnt just going to come from no where? why only 100kw? dyno set up conditions on the day unfavorable to turbo cars wrong gear used on dyno
  8. the r33/r34 atessa systems dont like it because you cant bleed off all the pressure in the centre diff meaning you can only get like 2/98% hence, standstills/dyno runs still burn the clutch packs up.
  9. Only reason I asked was RB25DET NEO Group: Members Car(s): 2000 Stagea 25t RSV Real Name: Matthew From: Inglewood, New Zealand Joined: 31st August, 2006 Trader Rating: 0 Mistook the V for a 4 *blush*
  10. if he isnt going to do it, why bother to advertise it? what did it end up costing you, supply and fitted?
  11. Drop the front drive shaft or just pull the fuse?
  12. pressure drop across a core is when you measure the difference between the boost on one side of the core to the other. your car would have held 8psi constantly yes, but what if there was a 10psi drop so your turbo was actually blowing 18psi. See the lack of efficiency.
  13. six year will bring me up to 25, which is about the time id want to have kids anyway. meh, will see, cant really plan that stuff can we on another note, id have children now at 19, but just all the neglect and lack of TRUE financial support (aka, car should eat the cash ) is holding me off.
  14. Yes, only RB20DE Would be slow as PISS, I even consider the stock RB25DET a tad slow Sucks about the no turbo thing mate, stageas are GREAT first cars even in turbo form, Id definatly buy my son one for his first car, but by the time my son is 18 it will be ~2030
  15. The ABS coming on maybe?
  16. Yes, actually they were the only "power" mods. Complete stock untouched ECU. Just boost upped. Had a GTR FMIC too, but that isnt making power on its own, only improves the flow. For example, i'd have made the same power with a stock SMIC but it just wouldnt have been as early/smooth. Plus, I dont really think a fan blowing on a cooler on the dyno can help THAT much. Im expecting around 140awkw with the high flow and stocko rest. Might see how far I can push the boost until I hit R&R
  17. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO They make such a good trio. I really really hope he pulls through OK
  18. would you want to make your GTS4 auto?? I know this guy, who will be selling his RB25DET in a few months down the track. He could sell the gearbox, loom ecu and all that with it too. What price range were you looking at and ill see what he is asking for it.
  19. with a full exhaust, gcg and 13psi, my S1 made 160awkw i wont be slapping it back on the dyno, but dont worry, i wont have forgotten what boosting feels like
  20. Like I said, in about 2 weeks time when my car is sprayed I will post up pictures for people to have a look.
  21. MMMM, while I save/buy parts for the upgrades, i think ill put the highflow back on mmm, stock engined stagea with stock exhaust and cooler with higflow, will let you all know how it feels compared to having an exhaust.
  22. Ive seen an R32 do the pipes like that before, very very nice IMO. Here is a thread from the Stag forum. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...c=92828&hl= I would have done it like the guy above, but that way uses a few more pipes etc and would have ended up costing me a fair whack more, as i couldnt retain ANY of the stock piping.
  23. why do you have to see it anyway? fit it, tune it and slap it somewhere in the dash underneath...or is there something you need to play around with a lot?
