How To Tell If I Have Bigger Injectors?
AlexCim replied to Duy's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
i think its more a matter of power output than boost. my stock injectors ran at 14psi with my highflow but only made 160awkw. So they were clearly not maxed out as people make ~220awkw with them. -
How Long Have You Had Your Stagea
AlexCim replied to 66yostagea's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
june 2005, its been a while... -
Yes, possibly wrong section, but I REALLY need this light before next week so my car can get sprayed. I need the driverside (i THINK) high beam light, the one in the grille. Anyone know anyone with one, wrecker with one, workshop with one, please please please let me know. BTW, YAY!!!! 2 weeks till i should get her back (depending on the freaking headlight) Also, driverside mirror anyone?

its the same chassis, just a face lift maybe the front gaurd mount is different coz of the front gaurds being different.

So, want to sell the wreck mate??? Let me give you an example of why full comp isnt worth it for young drivers. 1997 Nissan Stagea, modified exhaust, turbo, suspension, intercooler, ebc and ecu, $4300 per annum and 800+1200$ excess for a 18/19 year old driver/owner. Import STOCK AS A ROCK Stagea, 10k landed AND complied. Replace all the mods and sell parts from the wreck, ends up about the same as having paid 2 years of insurance. I had a stack, that night cost me ~5k, BUT i would have paid $4300 x 2 + $800 + $1200 if i had insurance..... Also FYI, I could easily afford that 4.5k per annum it really wouldnt put a dent in my pocket, I just dont think see there being a point when that premium+excess is more than half of the cost to import/comply another one. So if you dont get insurance, its not because you cant afford it full stop. Now the car is fixed, Ive got about $24,000 worth of plans for it to be done over the next few months, and guess what, I am not going to get full comp again. Simply put, I just dont think anyone will insure me, and if they do, there will EASILY be something on the car that they can deny me a claim for, so woohoo, wasted money paying premiums to have dishonored claims! If I was an old guy, sure, id get full comp. My parents pay like $400 a year for a 2001 Astra full comp and the excess is $400 too, thats value, but sorry, premiums of ~5k and excess of ~2k is just shooting up real high there on the "rip-off-o-meter"

Splitfire Coilpacks For Stagea/r33 S2
AlexCim replied to AlexCim's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
still looking to sell yes, but as I said, I need stocko coilpacks that work fine as replacements. I should have the car back in 3-4 weeks, so they should be available then. -
Can You Use Safc With Remapped Ecu?
AlexCim replied to aquariuz6's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
then just get a pfc, they are 950$ + $400 to tune. best bang for buck around.... a remap cant be less than 300-400$ and a SAFC2 is 400 bucks. -
not noticably laggier at all. power increase is massive, SO much more mid range and top end, which is exactly what you want.
-
SAFC does make a big difference. See, me and simon are compensating for tune by just flowing more air via the high flow (higher... flow...) A stock turbo is good for ~180-190awkw in stageas so with a proper tune it really gets up there. Put it this way. I could make 200awkw+ with only the following engine mods. R34 GTT cooler, GCG high flow, full exhaust, SAFC and SITC. Thats all.

How Much Would A Rb26 Manual Stagea Be Worth?
AlexCim replied to CruiseLiner's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
10k to do an engine and manual conversion? Sorry but I HIGHLY doubt that much labour would be involved. Also, I'm pretty close with my workshop and am sure I could workout some sort of sponsorship deal. A 350awkw stagea would be a very nice promo car indeed me's thinks. -
I am not god

As in, your sig says 1997 Stagea RS4 Mods: BOS SS Split Dump/Front Pipe, BOS SS High Flow Cat, Fujitsubo Cat Back, ARC Crossflow Cooler Kit, Z32 AFM, Apexi Panel Filter, Apexi SITC. I dont see anywhere where it says TURBO UPGRADE... Of all the mods I did, the turbo was the only one I really felt and you leaving it out made me doubt the 160awkw.
-
FOOL Change your sig mate, I just saw in your sig full exhaust and I was thinking 160awkw, wtf. Yeh, 160awkw sounds almost dead set spot on mate.
-
on stock boost? 7psi you made 162awkw? with the same mods as you bar the sitc (which doesnt really do anything on its own anyway) and i had a fuel pump, i made 140awkw on 7psi and then 160awkw on 13psi. BTW, the 040 is an easy fit into the stagea because of its craddle design, its a good pump to use in them.

How Much Would A Rb26 Manual Stagea Be Worth?
AlexCim replied to CruiseLiner's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
First lets get one thing straight. We are not working from a resale point of view. I dont see any reason to want to sell my car now its RB25, nor whatever happends in future. So that is not an arguement. All the things marked NOT STOCK ON 260RS are the ones that wouldnt come stock on a 260RS anyway, so id spend that money on a 260rs, OR a converted RS4. Ok, So lets do some maths. Thats about 16,000$ worth of mods BEYOND a stock 260RS From my previous post, my RS4's cost me ~32k. I sell it for ~14k I've LOST 18k. Then I buy a 260RS for ~32k (so I need to find another 18k somewhere) and then spend another 16k on it to make it as above. So that means for me to get a 260rs modded like above, I need 18+16k = 34k..... Alternative. Take RS4 now, it already has alarm, stereo, 80% suspension work, towbar etc. Take that budgeted 27k by you and I still end up ~7k on top. (even though you budgeted for suspension too, which is already done) Honestly, I know in 99% of cases it would be more wise to just sell up and upgrade, I really do. I was going to, until this accidents ended up costing me well, that 7k difference, which has screwed with the whole system. I only think that in this situation, its probably more wise to convert rather than sell. -

How Much Would A Rb26 Manual Stagea Be Worth?
AlexCim replied to CruiseLiner's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
ok, lets go through it originally 19,000 for the car 1,500 stamp duty/rego accidents cost me 1,500 parts 1,000 fix damaged parts 300 new wheels 500+ fix a/c system 1000 fix doors/mirrors 2,500+ easy, respray car 100 new air deflector interiors a bit rough, i actually carried stuff mods that would go with the car 1,200 stereo (cant remove, cut a-pillars) 1,000 tow bar (cant remove, rear bar was cut and was $400 to fit!!!) 2,500 suspension kit (hard to remove most of it, like bushes etc and 2nd hand shocks sell for too cheap) So thats a car that I would be selling for ~14,000 if lucky being accident damaged as well Car value spent on by me, ~32k So, that means I wont be selling the car regardless as its too much loss and id just buy a 260rs as a THIRD car. So id have an RS4 as a wagon daily, camry as a daily and a 260rs as a fun car. Now, the 260rs would be stock and cost around 33k, so 33-14 = 19k. Ive budgeted around 22-25k for a FULL work over of the car, including brakes, engine, interior and suspenion work to equate to around 350awkw, all properly set up, all properly hugging my ass and all that. What would you do? Think going 26 and manual isnt worth it in my case? -

consider selling me the whole conversion package and ill send you all my auto stuff (engine, box, rear end, etc)? i am currently looking at rebuilding/converting mine to RB26/manual instead of a 260rs just because ive spent so much on it no coz of the repairs etc. EDIT: wait, lol, we could just trade cars to make it easier. -
my car had on issues on a hub dyno, all 4 on hubs in 3rd gear obviously with o/d off. got to be careful of kick down unfortunatly.

Group Buy For Clear Front Indicators
AlexCim replied to performance-wise's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
we are all becoming ricers! haha, na, they suit better IMO -
maybe he is asking for the drags? for warming his tyres up. Depends if you have an auto or manual. Auto - Put it in 1, mash the brake with your left foot, stall it up, slowly release some brakes until the car is just about to start moving forward, your wheels should be spinning by now, release brake when desired. Manual - Put left foot all the way in on the clutch, dial up some revs with the right foot, either slip off the clutch or dump it, quickly put left foot on brake to stop you moving forward, spin all of first and then quickly shift into second (fast as possible to avoid moving forward or loosing revs) and then continue with foot on brake in 2nd. When you want, lift off the brake and forward you move.

what size? how fragile? most courier companies charge through the roof for walk in customers, really need to have an account to get any decent prices.
