  1. the ONLY way to safely make the car RWD is to drop the shaft. Its honestly not that hard people. 4 bolts and away you go. I was having a look around yesterday. When i get an LSD i will make the car RWD for some fun, i know ill still have those extra 4wd kg's but we shall see.
  2. Yes, Postitive R33 pipe fits S1 Positive R34 fits S2 (though, its the same pipe AFAIK)
  3. I like the grey strip, provides some contrast and division
  4. I was sliding in and out the axle (at the top of the pic) It was making a clunk inside the hub somewhere, here is a picture of the hub from FAST I might replace the wheel bearings anyway, its not a bad thing to do anyway, but i dont see how replacing the wheel bearings will stop the clunk inside the hub? As it appears, I shouldnt need to press anything out, its just a bolt on. Sorry for doubting, just dont want to spend money if i really dont have to? Let me know what you think brad/SK, i value your opinions
  5. Ill come and pick mine up. For an S1
  6. Why are you getting the torque converter looked at? My gearbox woo's on idle, I dont know what the hell it could be. Only really does it in D
  7. Oh, On another note too. I have the lines removed that go around the chassis rail, so my pipes just go right under the radiator to the pipes for the ATF. Hence, I have no loopy pipes or anything. I do understand that if i bottom out, the pipes could get damaged, but if i bottom out that bad, the swaybar, engine mount, front support bar, chassis rails would be next in line as they are lower anyway. Bring on the DAYZ front bar for the intercooler, then my cooling issues are set!
  8. Ok, I fitted up a DC cooler today. Took me about 3 hours start to end with the car NOT on jackstands (on the ground) So, unlike the other guys, i didnt mount the cooler on the stock bracket. I used the zip clip things and mounted it onto the aircon condensor. I had to move the radiator back to get my hands in there (which i didnt anyway) so the bottom right zip thing i couldnt cut off the end. The rest i did. I was going to mount it in the stock cooler location, BUT, i thought about the fan sucking air through it on idle, so i put it there. Being flush too, i think it gets even more airflow. I was also able to mount it a litter higher then the other guys, Its at the very very top corner, getting the most possible airflow. One thing i want to know though, using the old trick "as much as i take out i put back in" I put in about 2.1 or 2.2L of ATF. How much was i ment to put (I took the effort at the same time to flush the whole system and replaced with Castrol Transmax Z). I will more then likely open a group buy for the coolers soon Oh BTW, the cars a little smoother, its a bit less woo-ee (an issue for me) but I dont know. At least this cooler is now hot to the touch, the stock unit i couldnt touch at all after a short drive.
  9. Much louder then the stock unit?

    Help Needed

From when my indicators blew on the Stagea, I played around. Its pretty simple (if its the same). Regardless, i doubt the streering wheel would have to come off. - First remove the few screws that hold the surround on the shaft thing (two or three screws below the wheel) - Drop that off, remove the top cover. - There are a couple of screws that hold the stalk in, undo those. - Stalk comes off, unplug old one, plug plug into the new one. - Reverse to reassemble. Hope that its the same.

  12. run 7. Anything above that i just get cuts/bad economy/waste I find 7 is a good boost too. I need a tune with a DFA too. Waiting on a daughterboard to be created though
  13. I know of one stagea that cruises around Monash Clayton. ..couldnt dare be mine though
  14. god damn, its getting hard to mod cars there days!
  15. AFAIK, one and the same Maybe do what humble will do. get one of those chinese pipe kits, use the pipes and the cooler but replace the pipe that goes through the chassis with a custom one that goes under, like me and ska (refer to FMIC thread)
  16. What did you have to claim?
  17. So you are going to sell the S1 and do the R34 front on the S2?
  18. I get a plastic clip on metal sound coming from the rear driver side somewehre. I get a fan hitting casing sound from the climate control fan (it only just started last week) I get a clunk from the rear of the car. Probably CV or wheel bearing. I get a water gushing type sounding noise from the front of the car when i turn it on after a cold night I cant think of anything else for now, but as is evident, I listen for noises!
  19. So, I should get the wheel bearings for both or CV joints too, Might as welll do the full lot if i am poking around no? Are wheel bearing hard to replace?
  20. Well, If you have been watching then I trust you. Only when I see one odd on out, for me it rings alarm bells. I am sure on a newer car like this there would be many less issues then on a 15 year old Celsior, so good luck chap Jspec quote "This is well below average price for a good condition series 2 Stagea, if interested please let us know quickly as it will sell fast. Additional details on request." Why is it below average price? Its the FOB price that is higher, not like its the same FOB cost but all the other cost are lower (not inflated?)
  21. Hmm http://www.j-spec.com.au/list/index.php?ID=5230 Ever since my celsior import (not so fun), I am very cautious of cheap cars in japan. Why would it be so below market value unless there was something wrong with it? Get it inspected mate, you dont want to loose heaps of $$ with that one.
  22. So what the hell do you do about the hole? You cant weld it back up can ya? Do you just have to get it engineered or what? Id like to know the outcomes thanks
  23. "3intheBack" Gold mate, gold!
  24. i wanted a car that wasnt old and crap I wanted some quick but without cop attention (specially P plater action here in VIC) I wanted something practical as i am a young bloke that likes to carry stuff I wanted something that could tow, but wasnt a diesel torque monster (slow) I wanted something unique/rare I wanted something that i dont have to get rid of when i get married/family etc Now my dilemma. I think i have found the perfect car for me....I dont think ill bring myself to sell it any time soon and I do want other cars. I think ill have to buy 2nd cars if i want other cars, keep this puppy for a long time. Maybe if i upgrade to an M35 or something when the prices come down a bit. I really do want an R32 GTR, but cant afford it yet without selling. Let hope business goes up up up
