  1. I traced it out with whiteout. Cut the required part out with a dremel Got a square bucket, traced out what i needed to cover. Cut it out, used a soldering iron to plastic weld it on, sandded down and sprayed it.
  2. LSD was option of V's, std on S's The cold area thing is the wires in the windscreen, they heat up the wipers and make sure the ice that would be stuck to them in japan, is melted. No snow here mate, no really need for that
  3. Touche my friend, touche!
  4. It doesnt. At least, mine didnt....but that doesnt say much

Ill keep you all posted.
  6. Is your car auto? I get a noise from my torque converter thats like a whoo whoo whoo noise but it sounds like its coming from the turbo/water pump area.
  7. Just to get confirmation, this is event for people who have never played poker before? They will teach everything there etc? Otherwise, sounds good to me. I may get a friend or two interested but ill have to speak to them tonight/tomorrow about it and ill post back about it. Regardless, I sent in my membership form today and made payment last night via DD (westpac to westpac, instant trasnfer)
  8. I picked up a used GTR cooler for $200 bucks + $55 shipping from the forums. GTR coolers are good for 300awkw. Shop around
  9. You can get a tool from repco or whatever, its a magnet on the end of a flexi stick. Good for probing for lost bolts.
  10. Yeh Bass I did see you wave and waved back. Knew it was you because of the Nismo(right?) kit. About "volvo", when we had the stagea meet in Melbourne, I told the other guys that I had debaged my car (removed Stagea/RSFOUR badges) and they then asked "why the hell would you do that, now even more people will call you a volvo?". Well, as long as only the people that I want to know about my car do, and the general public dont, I can live with that. (confusing sentance) Though, I still find many many/most import drivers are oblivious to me. Ill keep myself updated on the SAU VIC events and make sure ill attend the next BBQ/Meet. There is some Christmas BBQ isnt there? Ill arrange to become a member this week and send off all my stuff.
  11. Mine are also black and standard. Or at least, when i was doing the swaybars or wheels etc, i didnt notice any color but black...
  12. You have to get the cable which they jaycar people suggest to buy from them I bought a paralell cable from dick smith and it didnt work. The cable needs to be omni direcional in transmitting data, where serial cables are just in one direction (to printer) Just get the right cable, its $10
  13. Looks sweet. So it started to rain did it...hahah PS. Spotted you Bass on Springy road today(or is that yesterday now), good to see at least 0.5% of the population recognise my car PPS...air guides?...
  14. Result of blowtorch to spring method. This is muck's rear springs (now he has bilsteins)
  15. THATS what it is! Originally, they got shorter lights and then put the eye lids on. Look how the top cover bit and the lower dip lines up on my car, and then how they did it on the one above it! So it seems like the german car has different rear lights, where that hyperrevs mag is just eyelids. I like that front bar... PS, where the hell did you get that magazine, i need to get myself a copy!!!!111!1oneone
  16. Where were the stageas? Well, of the like, ~10 i know of in victoria, and ~5 on the forums, i guess we were unaware of this. Sounds like a really fun weekend, if there is on in feb ill make sure to go to that one. Sucks being a newbie to SAU, i only just ventured out of the Stagea section ~1 month ago, which was wayy too late.
  17. The new ones COULD possibly be imported. If its a situation like S15's where they were sold in JP before AU, then maybe that could occur. On the other hand, the market wouldnt be too big for them so not many people would really think about getting into that niche. The old ones are OK, i dont mind them, but mate, wont be scared if i see one round the corner, my wags'll take er
  18. Two dodgy-ass methods to drop the car - Cut the springs - Put a blow torch the springs and make them sag I DO NOT reccomend either of these methods. Theree are no other methods to do it properly without new springs and/or shocks.
  19. GOD DAMMIT. Shit like this really pisses me off! ARGH
  20. I have read up on this and it seems that its a very good idea to keep the shroud, as removing it reduces the overall effciency of the fan. This could be why you saw slightly higher temperatures? Thanks for the info, was your fan a brand name aka davies craig or just a generic style fan? Also was it straight blade or curved blade? Cheers, Alex
  21. Well, of all the people here, your the only one thats listed a price. Maybe everyone else also picked up bargains? Meh, iono
  22. I was going to start a thread "Why would you sell your stagea?" There are probably several S2's for sale, few S1's.. Maybe people are wanting to or trying to make money? :S
  23. Tossing up between what thermofans to buy. Bursons wants 279 + ~40 bucks for a Davies Craig 16inch and thermo A sponsor on NS wants 165+50+10 for a chinese style thermo http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...howtopic=126191 Not sure what to buy, I stand by the idea that for an extra 100 why shouldnt I buy the best, specially with something this important. Anyway, ill be keeping the shroud and just mounting the fan on top where the current mechanical is. Can anyone vouch for any improvements of the thermo over the stock mechanical? Ill post pictures and how to when i am doing/done it.
  24. go to bursons, buy yourself a nipple with thread and a nut. Drill a hole in the pipe, put the nipple in and use the nut on the otherside of the pipe to secure everything in place. Voila, nipple!
  25. The best bet I would think would be to -Remove interior roof trim -Inspect if the roof is able to be beaten out -If not beaten out, bog fill and sand down, respray Since when can you buy replacement roofs? Arnt they part of the fixed chassis? With the nissan part, would you cut and weld on the new roof, sand then paint?
