Just woundering how easy it is for you guys down under to get your rom chips changed for your main computers? I just changed my turbo to a GT2530 and i did not burn the chip at the same time.. the car ran great but after i had the fuel map changed for the new turbo.....WOW.... what an upgrade.. the rom was already changed for the stock turbo but after i had it tuned again... it was even better... is it hard for you fellas to get this changed? and how much are you spending on that? Really it is the only raeason that i got a skyline in the first place... tuning the computer is such a snap... GTR included. I had a Supra and it was a pian to get the comp. tuned.. Thanks

ok, so has anyone actually seen one? I am thinking of taking pics and posting them as the project progresses. It is not the first hybred that i have made, I made a onevia last year, but it will be the first with a completely different engine then was intended for the chasis.

Hello All, This is the first post that I have made, so please excuse it if it has already been posted... I am getting ready to crossdress a R32 Skyline engine into a S13 sil80. the 80 is a CA18det. It is on its last leg and is ready for a engine overhaul no matter. I have a RB20 with 256 cams and a TD06 turbo and waste gate. It is making about 400-450ps at the wheel. I want to make this for the drift and a show car.. I was woundering if anyone has seen or heard of a s13 that has been completed with this set up. I know that Neko Corp. here in japan has the jumper for the wire harness and i will probably use that to get around alot of the pain in the butt for the wiring. A friend of mine has a RB26DETT in his Drag 180sx... and a SR20DETT in his 240sx from the states. Yes i said TWIN TURBO on a SR20.. It rocks!! but i was just woundering if anyone had already done this and if there was any advice for the matter.

I know that when you deregister a car that you can keep one of the plates.... that is a fact! if it is a matching set that you are after, then that can only be done illeagly! as stated here they are property of the government. If you do not care if they match or not then i can get you some with no prob... It is cool to keep one and then turn the other in when you deregister... PM me and let me know.

Man i got a couple of deals to share... 1. Got my first speeding ticket in the mail!!! it was a photo radar! 80km in a 50kn zone that was lovely! 50000 yen later.. next was about 7 years later no crap! in the middle of a rice field.. i came up on the back side of a speed trap 120km in a 10... uggg.. 50000 yen! 2. Ran a red light infront of a cop!! no fine just had to let the 18year old girls out of the car and leave the city!! 3. Out run them.. I live in country area and you can just jam on it if you got the balls.. i do not recommend this method but it is effective.. 4. right lane passing!! Warning. In any case.. if you get pulled ove then if you are in an area that has alot of gaijin.. then chances are that they speak ENOUGH jinglish to give you a ticket.. but in the more country areas then i recommend to just be nice and courtious and they might let you on your way.. In my deaings with the japanese police, they are kind and though... asking questions about childhood and if you were beaten or molested everything that you never thought about yourself... the part that realy got me when i got here 13years ago is that then patrol with their lights on... therefore even if you are busted then you will not know unless you hear that bull horn. I have seen then show up to drifts and drag races at the ol' air port and the mountains.. but NEVER seen them getting heavy on the highways or the events. I guess that we are lucky in that way,, i Hear that the States and Aussy land is real bad in this respect.

I just sleep on the desk ing the shop most night... but other then that i had the futon and then a double and a water bed and not a standard.. I guess that it really does not matter what media that you sleep on. i still wake up sore from a drifting the night before! getting old sucks so unless you sleep in your pool then i think you aught to see a doc on that back thing! bob

bro, check the ingnition wire harness... where you jump out the turbo timer.. if you checked all of the fuses and the termanal connection. Meger the CPU power wire for conductivity, and the ignition switch.. really it sounds like the computer is gone but not too sure.. you got to check the system.. from the battery in.. if you just put on a alarm then it seems likey to star there.. but i think maybe this is related but in a different area.. where did the installer draw the power from, what kind of security systems is it? remote starter? built in turbo timer? these are serious questions.. if they tapped in at the harness that comes down the steering collum from the key switch then that can be the answere.. i have seen that before.. you said that you smelled burning then i would look there first.. batttery, switch, ECU, if they meger out and you got power.. then i would be looking for the relay.. this is not likely.. bob

i got to tell you that i live here in japan near nagasaki and all of the GTR's that i see around here are nice as hell.. not too many bad ones,,, if you need one then let me know and i can look around for you.. It common knowledge that buying from the auctions here is not that great of an idea! Sure you can see the car and start it up if it starts but you do not know where the car is comming from. I think that it is better to buy from a car Shop that GTR is their thing. that is the way to go.. Got a GTR32 body here for about $600.00 USD Spot reinforced. It has Acrylic Windows around the whole car but the engine needs some TLC.. I have been toying around with making it the Car Club Drag Car but have not decided on that... If you all need help then let me know and i will do my best to help you out... My Neighbor has a R32GTR for sale 12000.00 USD and it is loaded with goodies.. if you need something like that then pm me and i will help you out.. don't get me wrong i am not trying to sell cars on the net.. just trying to help you all save big $$$ Bob
