  1. Noted man! didn't know that!
  2. I'd have to agree that it's not a S2! my S2 M-Spec 96 has ABS, and looking at the engine bay pic it doesn't look like it's there. I'm pretty sure they came out in 96 with ABS and the airbag.
  3. Sorry Dan, how long does it take to get the member number and stuff, as I am bringing my car in to Hyperdrive soon and Glenn ask me to have my membership details in order to get 10% off. Cheers!
  4. Hey do you mind if I PM you an idea on the design of the logo?
  5. Excellent! I'm in too!
  6. Come on all you silvers! we need to catch up!!
  7. Yet another silver one here!
  8. Yes best to ring DPI, I rang regarding size difference between front and back cause I was worried about having 8" (235) on the front and 9" (255) on the rear. They told me as long as it wasn't more than 10% difference it was ok. Also that the car could take what was specified on the side panel of your car (inside your door somewhere). No sure if the panel bit is true though! Anyone else know?
  9. OHHHH! it was taken out hey? Well then, that's just shite! Definately not worth it then! So do you think it really has 519rwhp?
  10. Hey! looks like the same one! but I don't know if it is, cause the engine bay looks different to the one I saw.
  11. Yeah seem a bit expensive but I think devil's right, I think maybe a limited model. Devil, I think he did actually! I love Mustangs myself, fastback 65 model is what I'm after. Although I think the 56 Corvette! Spider model maybe? is the best looking one! Same as the one in True Lies with Arnold & Jamie Lee Curtis.
  12. Hey there people! I was in All American today and saw this awesome looking R32 GTR for sale! It was originally from Vic & Qld, and had a write up in the HPI magazine No 40. Number plate was BNR - 32. It had 430kW and has had little more mods done to it since. Go check it out, worth a look! Pulp.
  13. Hi Rev210, Yes the faster factor is what I intend on achieving. With the front mount option, I do intend on upgrading the turbo down the track so I think getting one installed would be the way to go. I think it's a great idea what you said about the SAFC II and saving up for a PFC later. I think this guy quoted me $660 + $110 to tune. Although, considering I want to put a bigger turbo in later, do you think I should get the electronic boost controller now? I will head off to the forced induction section and have a read I think! Thanks very much for the info mate!
  14. I see, now things starting to make sense! I was told by someone the same thing about the controlling of the boost, but wasn't sure if it would be necessary. I think I'll go back and get him to give me another quote with the electronic controller. I don't want to have to go back and make changes later cause I wont be happy. Thanks again Arkon! Great help.
  15. Thanks guys! Damn I thought that my quote was sounding good! I hope I'm not getting ripped!I'll do some shopping for sure. arkon, you were saying about not using the SAFC, does the electronic controller adjust to our fuel type etc too? Cause the guy was telling me that the SAFC did this. I don't know if I really want to go too much into upgrading the computer (PowerFC), just gonna do a little at this stage. Sorry still learning all these things!
  16. I was think of doing that, just thought I'd get some info and opinions first. Thanks mate, much appriciated! P.S: Is that the chick in your avatar from the PAS? isn't she just gorgeous??
  17. Hey guys, I had the same unit in mine. A guy here in Perth does all sorts of mods, he told me he could modify the unit and make it able to play TV/DVD etc. The GPS unit that comes with it doesn't work in Aust, as in Japan they use a different system, their's updates as you drive or something I think! So they can be used, but I don't know if it's really worth it in the end! I changed mine to an indash 7" touch screen unit. I've got a program which creates a DVD of your MP3's. I used an 8GB DVD+R and filled it MP3s. Can create a menu, background picture and all, really cool!! Program's called Audio DVD Creator.
  18. Hey guys, I had the same unit in mine. A guy in Vic Park on Teddington Rd, HiFi place, can't remeber for the life of me what is was called, does all sorts of mods, he told me he could modify the unit and make it able to play TV/DVD etc. The GPS unit with it doesn't work in Aust, as in Japan they use a different system, their's updates as you drive or something! Can't remember his name either, think it may have been Greg?? He was pretty helpfull, knows his stuff! Go check it out, it's close to the lights of Shepperton Rd.
  19. Hi Fhrx, Just wondering, I have one 12" boxed and it takes up the whole boot space. I have a 4 door line and have more space where the battery on the 2 doors would normally sit. So I was thinking of making up something that sits in there, but will probably have to use two 8" subs. Do you think two 8" subs would sound ok or would you recommend a 10" instead? Cheers!
  20. Hi all fellow Liners! I just need some advise on mods for my Skyline. I've had a guy give me a quote on a few things. Guy from Ovaboost Performance in Malaga. Basically want to do some minor type stuff, know absolutely sweet f all about these things and really want to learn as much as I can. What I got quoted on was: Intercooler, 3" Dump pipe (cause it's stock from the cat back) Manual Boost controller & SAFC. This according to him would get me about 250rwhp. Think it involved turning up the boost of the turbo alittle. The approximate cost was $2500, which includes fitting and tuning. At this stage I don't want to go overboard, but maybe down the track I will change the turbo as well. Just want to know what you guys think, recommend etc? Also I've been told it's better to have and Auto boost controller. Cheers, Pulp.
  21. Yeah Frank's is a great guy! Know him for years, is a friend of my friend. They have a yard in Cannington near William St and now a new place in Vic Park. He helped me out looking for a car, was looking at a black Toyota Chaser Tourer V, but didn't have quiet enough spendoolies for it!! Anyway got a better car now!! Go the Line!!!
  22. Sounds like a good idea! I've actually got someone looking for me to see how much he can get them for. I hope he finds out soon!
  23. I like that PS Revolution muffler! I really like the loud sound of mine, just cause I drive around for work and the droning gets a bit annoying sometimes. But otherwise the sound is great! can't get rid of it Unless I put in one of those PS ones!!
  24. Hey all! Wondering if anyones knows about or has installed one of these Apexi ECVs to their car? Heard that they will quieten your exhaust to a factory note and in turn lessen power by a simple control within your cabin when ever you want. Main reason I thought of doing this is cause I have an auto and when I'm cruising round at low speeds there is a real bad droning sound! I'd adjust it to a quieter setting and re-adjust when I need the power. What do you guys think?
  25. Well Mirkz this guy in East Perth had alot of stuff like that. The globes I got have a dark blue glass, when lit up they are super white with a tinge of blue. Don't really light up the road a blue colour. My main head lights do though, well you can see a bit of blue on the road. like the new cars have. Go in and see him anyway mate.
