  1. If they bolt onto a r33 gtr then they will bolt onto your car. Just bear in mind that if the rears are only 300mm, they will be dwarfed by the larger VSPECII dust shields that are desigened to accommodate 322mm rotors at the rear.
  2. Yes front brakes are the same but the r33 and early r34 gtr's had smaller 300mm rotors and matching calipers on the rear. The VspecII got larger 322mm rotors and calipers at the rear but kept the same size on the front.
  3. The part numbers for the v spec 2 are Nissan 44020-AB000 - PLATE ASSEMBLY, BACK REAR BRAKE RH and Nissan 44030-AB000 - PLATE ASSEMBLY, BACK REAR BRAKE LH. They are definitely bigger than the ones you mentioned. I have a brand new set if you are interested.
  4. The R34 uses M14 bolts on the front and M10 at the rear. 350z fronts are a straight bolt on with matching discs, 350z rears do not fit.
  5. As already mentioned Sumitomo brakes from a GTT and also the matching master cylinder for the bigger volume of fluid needed.
  6. You need a 93c56 eprom programmer they cost about $15 on AliExpress and I used software called Ponyprog2000 which is free to download. De-solder the chip from your old cluster. Read the information from the old cluster, it will look like this: The hexadecimal code in the red boxes is your mileage. Copy it to the eprom of your new cluster. Your car now shows the true mileage it has travelled. Take photos of the mileage of both clusters and also the clusters side by side as evidence that the mileage has been transferred. This picture is of a GTT cluster but I can confirm it is exactly the same for a GTR. I have not tried to do a straight swap of eproms and when comparing between the old and new eprom you will see a lot of differences in the Hexadecimal code. This way you are only transferring your mileage.
  7. I have just completed this conversion and have updated the Excel document. I found an error on it and also added a few missing pin outs.GTR_Guage_Cluster_Conversion3.xls I can confirm everything works on my car, it is a GTT manual. The centre plug at the back of the cluster is different between GTT and GTR. The GTT is a brown 24 pin plug and does not plug into the white GTR 24 pin socket, I modified mine to fit using a hacksaw blade and needle file. I also swapped the lense over to the GTR cluster for the Slip and TCS off lights.
  8. That's the valve cover gasket that's leaking.
  9. Same problem here, I bought the bumper, bonnet and fenders from Luxury sports in NZ and they were a terrible fitment, badly moulded. I had to do a lot of alterations to the kit. I installed the gtr front reo bar and all the brackets which did help to pick the nose up but it's still not perfect.
  10. Have you looked on Amayama? Genuine Nissan rb26 pistons 86.5mm part number is A2010-AA372 and rings are 12036-67S20 All up they cost about $700 NZD. This is what I used.
  11. Source another engine, that one is going to take a lot of $ to fix.
  12. To state the obvious you have water in the oil, probably from a blown head gasket and the pistons have detonation marks. Looking at the carbon deposits on the pistons the detonation has happened in the past.
  13. Hey Mate welcome to the forum, see below the signals are different between N/A and turbo for the cluster. Find a r34 workshop manual and take a look. the signals come from the ecu and the ecu's are totally different.
  14. I cut the piece from the battery to the chassis leg and left the remainder which connects the engine block to the chassis leg and everything works fine.
  15. R33's had the battery in the boot and the battery holder bolts straight into the r34 the holes are already there. I had to modify the bracket for the ecu behind the battery though to make it fit. Here is a pic but it is not finished.
  16. I don't think you can buy this kit anymore. Otomoto don't have it listed on their website.
  17. I have not installed it yet but i want to use it with my 26/30 setup I only use the car on the road so I want a taller ratio and better traction,
  18. I have fitted a S15 hlsd diff centre into my R34 vlsd, everything fits internally but as mentioned the S15 has 3x2 output shafts and the R34 viscous lsd 5x1 shafts do not fit. I had to buy new output shafts for a R34 helical diff which was fitted on later models for the 5x1 output shafts. I used the S15 crown and pinion gears as well for the 3.69 ratio so I had to re-shim to get the pre-load and backlash set correctly. In the end it all worked out but was costly and time consuming.
  19. Agree everyones tastes and requirements are different. I much prefer to waste money on my car than on drugs or gambling etc
  20. I have a factory manual GTT. A while ago I tested an ecu from a Stagea rb25det neo auto in my car and everything worked except the speedo so it could well be an ECU issue.
  21. I used the Reimax gears and have had no trouble. They also had the large clearance I assume too that Reimax know what they are doing since they built the Clasonic GTR back in group A days. Is there evidence that the large clearance is a problem, I think it is a good thing for crank flex.
  22. My understanding is that it is illegal to change the distance the car has travelled, not change the new clusters reading to match the car. I transferred mine accross to the nismo cluster and took photographs of both reading the same. I checked here in NZ before doing it and was told I can do it that way.
  23. Yes my rb26 block has the hole plugged on the block
  24. I am also curious about the pressure relief, considering the oil pump has a relief valve to control pressure what is the intended purpose of this one? Is it there to prevent the oil filter from being over pressured? I would not be concerned with the centre bolt coming loose considering a correctly tightened oil filter does not come loose.
  25. Can you pm me a price for a GTT front badge like the one in the picture above please?
