  1. I run a PLX A/F device which shows me constant A/F readings which i can tune with my PFC. Check them out, there about $500 with an oxygen sensor.
  2. Is this the Saturday or Sunday?? The 12th is the saturday but the fyler says Sunday the 12th???
  3. I tried changing the turbo on a stock ECU with a tuned SAFC. Made a little more power but the power curve was like a rollercoaster. Put the PFC and it worked wonders. ECU is definately the pick of the crop.
  4. Definately agree, tryes are a key. Theres too many skylines with big power running crap times. All comes down to tyre choice. If you spend the money, spend a little extra and grab some good tyres, Et streets, RA1's, RE55 etc. Theres some pretty quick times to be had. 113mph should be good for a easy mid 12. I done it with normal street tyres with a 2.02 60'
  5. Looks nice, considerable bigger than the stock one. Let us know on how it performs
  6. Im running a HKS 2535, just a simple bolt on. Suspension is hard as a rock Teins. Are you dropping the clutch to get axle tramp?? Not once have i got axle tramp, i use the clutch and plenty of throttle to smooth out any sudden jumps from the rear.
  7. 250rwkw should see you around the 118mph with a good launch. I ran 116mph with a little less than 250rwkw.
  8. As far as launching goes, not exaclty sure on the revs but would be around 4500rpm , right in the meaty zone, and i ease out the clutch, not dump it. Is there much work putting the 3040R on?
  9. Well im running Toyo Ra1's there not your average street tyre, they perform much better than your average street tyre, they are R compound. I dont think i could have got a better start without using more revs, hence the need for ET streets So you running a 2835 Pro?
  10. Definately looking at some ET streets now. Traction was a issue. Everytime i went a little harder i would spin the tyres and was running 12.4/12.5's
  11. Ive got black and chrome Autometers ones, let me know which one
  12. Just got back from Calder after a good night, best time was a 12.16@116mph with a 60' of 1.888. This is my daily driven car with no other mods than driven on the street. Was desperately trying for an 11 but traction was the issue, everytime i tried to go off a little harder i would fry the tyres and the 60's would suffer. Tyres are Toyo's RA1. Looks like i will have to get some slicks to run a 11.
  13. Going to be a good night weather wise
  14. Anyone going down?? Weather looks to be good, fine and foggy, trying a few mods for a quicker time, cya there..
  15. Ive lived in altona all my life and in the olden days all the westies would hang out on the esplanade on a hot day. It was great fun but now a days, if the temperature gets warm they put decoys up so you divert up streets etc. In 3 years ive been pulled over once in my line.
  16. He sounds dodgy to me. Why would you leave a GTR running at a servo when you walk in to pay for petrol, especially in Sunshine. He obviously lives in the area and knows how bad it is.
  17. Taking the car down, anyone going? Hopefully theres no rain
  18. I too get some hi knocks, sometimes in the 90's but cannot hear it ping at all like the old days. If i put some optimax extreme this comes down to 60. I live with it, this is only on hi boost, low boost gives me around 30. Starting up gives me knock of 40.
  19. For traction the Semi comps will kill street tyres in a straight line. Its the soft compound R rubber that eats street tyres for breakfast
  20. Once you get some decent power your going to need some seriously good rubber. I run Toyo RA1's which is an R compound tyre in the same league as RE55's. I run them full time on the street and the grip is superb. With street tyres i had traction problems in 2nd gear coming under boost and dont even think about 1st gear, waist of time. With the RA1's, i get traction in first gear on the street. Your no longer scared of 4wds at the lights. If you want to try a pair there is a guy that sells Yoki's R series compounds that come off the Brute utes. He flogs them off for about $100 each half worn, might give you a feel of them.
  21. Yeah me too, but its now working
  22. Ran a [email protected] with around 200rwkw, stock turbo, 13psi, FMIC, SAFC, with street tyre, 2.02 60'. Bring the 60' down to a 2.0 and you should be capable of a very low 13
  23. This would be an interesting comparison and i would love to see the results. Obviously the CGC is going to win, but by how much?? Not everyone is going to fork out the extra for the CGC but for a small upgrade, these turbos might be ok for some. Certainly you couldnt compare a dyno comparison with the same tune either. And i would little bit annoyed for Slide if Gary done the dyno testing since he has a strong connection with CGC.
  24. Disco Well said, wish i could understand all your numbers though
