Ive connected a Wideband A/F guage and if i give it medium throttle, it richens up to say high 11's and then goes to mid to high 12's once your on the throttle and the accelearting enrichment has gone. This is only on medium throttle with very little boost. I played with it and now im in the 12's and ive noticed an improvement in throttle response. '
I'll do some more testing and leet you know how i go.
I prefer 2nd gear burnouts as well, but everytime i do one, i miss 3rd gear. I do not know why. Go back to doing first gear burnouts (less smoke) and i never miss 3rd, Weird
All fixed up now, spliced into the cigarette lighter and then i remembered the ciggy lighter doesnt work. So i didnt have any power. Checked the fuses, (Cant read JAP) found the broken fuse and presto all works fine. Now i have a digi A/F guage reading constant Air Flow numbers so i can do some fine tuning
Cheers
Its more altitude, Heathcote has a higher altitude and Calder is at sea level. I always run quicker at Calder and i know a few quick 10 second cars who are drag heads reckon Calder is good for 0.2 over Heathcote.
I must admit Heathcote has alot more relaxing atmosphere.
Connecting a digital Air/Fuel ratio Guage to my car and i need to find a positive wire. I need one after the ignition so it turns itself off. Tried my turbo timer but that didn't work, don't ask me why as that turns itself after i turn the car off.
Any easy ideas as their is a shitload of wires under the dash.
Cheers
Dont under estimate the Ls1's. With a tune and exhaust they can get upto 250rwkw and run 12's at 110mph so they are going to get you on the roll no matter what.
If im going out for a fast cruise with the boys, i try the Nulon Pro octane boost which brings my knock levels down. This is on top of my 98 octane fuel. However, i prefer to fill it up on Optimax Extreme which is 100 octane and brings my knock down considerable.
Yeah running Ra1's, there as good as slicks. Ran 12.5 with the 2530 and street tyres, figured with more power and tyres, would have to be close to a 11.
Didn't end up going , was raining and a strong head wind.
