  1. Item: HKS 2530 TURBO T3 FLANGE, SUIT RB20 & RB25 Location:Melbourne Item Condition:Excelent Condition Reason for Selling:Bought a 2535 and decided to leave it on. Nothing wrong with this turbo, ran 12.55@113mph. If you want strong midrange this is a great turbo. Made 16psi at 3000rpm and peaked at 4500rpm at 19psi so this is where it performs best.   2. Experiment with pulling 1 degree timing out when she starts to ping. Trace with the Map trace or you can do it easy with the settings -1 timing but that will pull one degree out everywhere and you dont want that. Going from 11.6 to 12.0 is not going to make much difference at the wheels Good luck
  3. Just because they win dyno comps, doesn't necessarily mean they win at the drags. They need the extra oomph for there extra lump.

  9. I think i must have crossed the wires somewhere, i will check again. Maybe the voltage coming out of the map sensor is reading in the wrong PFC connection. I just hope if i swap it, it doesnt burn my PFC out. Changed actuators and problem 2 is now fixed, im getting at least 15psi at 3500rpm now, much better.
  10. Further testing, i just cannot seem to get any decent boost under 4000rpm, (only 11psi)and then bang it shoots to 17psi just like a switch. I might change actuators, ive changed all the settings (boost and cycle) and it doesnt seem to be doing anything to solve this. If all fails, i'll be disconnecting the PFC boost controller and using the good old reliable HKs actuator arm as my boost controller, then i can get alot more boost down low.
  11. Just installed my PFC Boost Controller. Now i had to buy the AVCR Pressure sensor which i beleive is the same. Anyway, ive got 2 problems with it. 1) It reads less pressure than my boost guage and stock guage. Max pressure i see is .7 when im running at least 17psi on my guage. Even when my boost and standard guage are on zero, the PFC shows a negative pressure. I teed the T-Piece off the same line as the stock guage. 2) I am getting no midrange boost. It shows 10psi then bang at 4000rpm i get 16psi in a flash. Its like something is holding it back and then it clicks and i get boost and power. Its not the turbo as witth my HKS adjustable actuator i was getting heaps more power down low. The only change was lengthing the arm on the actuator. Ive been reading that these computers learn boost but how long does it take?
  12. Funny you say about 2nd gear burnouts, but i started doing these and on every occassion i couldnt grab 3rd gear on my run. I thought something is wrong with the box and i started to get quotes on a new gearbox. So next runs, i swapped back to only 1st gear burnouts and now i hit 3rd gear every time. Weird hey
  13. How much for a Autometer 4401 2 5/8 boost guage, these go for around $150.
  14. Funny about this knock, ive seen knock readings upto 90 but never heard any ping. When my motor was half stock, (just boost and no FMIC) i was hearing alot of ping down the strip but unfortunately i didnt have the Power FC to get a number.

  16. I'll check my PFC tomorrow, i dont think i have a 3 pin plug that goes in it.
  17. What kind of plugs or pins goes to the Power FC??? I have 3 pin plug from the boost control sensor and 2 from the boost controller. Do all 5 go to the power fc?
  18. What did you do to the actuator. I presume you have the HKS adjustable actuator so you tightened it up to run more boost??
  19. I'd be willing to run it if someone gave me access as i have a fair understanding of the 1/4. It was excelent to compare relative times against other cars and mods
  20. Funny you say this, but i ran a guy (from the forums) who is only running 14psi, 2535, RB25 producing 244rwkw. We had roll on runs and everytime i beat him quite easily with my 2530,19psi setup. Mid range there was simply no contest even if he jumped me i would still come past.

I think the only thing we cant tune is A/F ratios, it would be a nice to be able to rig up a system inside the cabin to have one eye on the A/F ratios and tune it on light , medium and full loads. As long as we have one eye on the "knock" and all ears on ping, a careful backyard tuner should be ok.
