  1. 12-13psi
  2. A nice FMIC, you will see an extra 15-20rwkw, one of the best mods around with increased boost
  3. They must be on holidays as i havent heard back from my deposit made on the 31/12.
  4. Car is running very strong. Im running around 17psi with the HKS 2530, SAFC2 and Z32. I have seen a little more on cold nights. My dyno man is currently getting his dyno recalibrated so hopefully this week i will be able to fine tune the mixtures and maybe see how much boost it can handle.
  5. Well i guess the dice is falling right side up for me. If he wants to track race, get him to buy a new turbo, but for street trim, stocky has been fine by me.
  6. There was a group Buy about these custom air box, basically its got a sidewall and lid which fits very nicely. Then i installed a 100mm drainwater piping from underneath to get cold air. BTW, stock injectors and fuel system.
  7. ITs very slow, and i pressed all the new posts and lost them all, that sucks
  8. The settings for a S15 is In 05 and out 05. When connecting a Z32 too it, the settings will be IN 02 and out 05.
  9. I took it for a run and the AFL % shows around 52% at maximum throttle
  10. Just about to go for a test drive, i will let you know about the 100% flow. Sometimes my SAFC changes to pressure and it takes some fiddling to get it too show Air Flow %.
  11. Maybe as the standard AFM was maxing out, it wasn't getting the optimum tune at those rpms. Now with the AFM reading, the computer is giving me a decent tune, hence why the 5000rpm flat spot has gone. Im running a HKS 2530 and im seeing some strong results, though i reckon you would gain some benefits with the stock turbo.
  12. Its called pinging. Ive added some more fuel in and its not pinging any more. A dyno test should give me the correct answers.
  13. Custom cold air box and cam gears. I found 13psi didnt give a heap more peak power but the mid range torque was a sizeable increase. I ran 13psi for at least a year with the stock turbo and FMIC. How many people with R33's do 5 laps of thrashing around a racetrack? Not many!!! Took the turbo off and is still in great condition.
  14. Only using a SAFC i am one of the only guys to run a 12 second quarter in street trim. If you want cheap, SAFC is the way to go, Power FC if you want perfection.
  15. It took me about 30 minutes to wire it up so take that into consideration with your dyno operator. Z32 is the same size as the R33 AFM so everything bolted straight up.
  16. Once installed it ran lean as buggery, so i quickly added some fuel everywhere into it via the SAFC. So at the moment its had a quick road tune but its feeling very quick. I will have it on the dyno next week to accurately tune the A/F ratios.
  17. 2 in and 4 out. It flies now, it seems to have got rid of my flat spot around 5000rpm which is where the AFM was maxing out. Im very happy at the moment, stay tuned for some dyno numbers but going by feel, i can certainly feel the difference.
  18. I have just finished installing my Z32 with a SAFC 2. I started it up and it was all shaking but then changed the settings too IN 2 (from IN 4) and bingo it idles nicely. Now for a tune up.
  19. Yes, lean AFR makes the engine knock. There is less fuel in the combustion chambers hence more heat and knock, put more fuel in which reacts as a coolant and then you have less heat and knock. Hence why factory cars are generally run rich from factory to act as a safety measure. The old saying is, lean is mean!!! Its great for performance but its living life on the edge. But, 12-1 ratio should be what your aiming for, maybe high 11's if you continue to have troubles.
  20. Z32 is 3 letters, how do i search for it?
  21. I got mine landed for just under $600 but they have gone up since then, however i did notice some brand new ones on ebay for $700
  22. Saw some brand new ones on Ebay for $700
  23. Its for Sale
