  1. With 113mph, i ran a 12.55
  2. I ran 12.98 with 200rwkw on street tyres
  3. Keen on some 255/40/17 as well
  4. Give me a week and i should have another one for you
  5. Yeah the RA1's definately hold it down in 2nd gear but they are well and truely past their use by date. Looking for some cheaper replacements but looks like i will have to use R series tyres.
  6. Great write up. Interesting to see whether its worth it or not
  7. Robo's

    Ebc

I use the Jaycar IEBC. You have to build the kit and is a bit of a pain to set up, but once its set you do pratically anything with your boost curve. Cheap too
  8. Yeah heard about those Federal's RS, they seem around the $400 mark as well. I'll shop around. Yeah torque is the problem. Running high boost, she comes on pretty hard in the middle and thats where the problem is
  9. Im running 255/40/17, i dont think a slight size increase will hold it down
  10. My Toyo RA1 are shot. Now with over 250rwkw i am braking traction in 2nd gear under boost. What tyres do you run and does it hold traction in 2nd gear with over 250rwkw? Can normal street tyres do it or do i need to run semi slicks again?? Over $400 a pop, they arent cheap. I heard Nankung's arent bad in the dry, but will they hold the skyline down?
  11. You can claim the listing fees back. Report the unpaid item and then close it after 8 days and ebay gives you your listing fees back.
  12. Got a brand new autometer 2 1/16 chrome cup, $40
  13. These arent 595RS, quote price is over $400 for the RS
  14. I bought a radiator hose off something from autobahn and cut it
  15. Think i might go down for a look
  16. Im trying to close it to get more boost. The thing closes at idle but doesnt close under load. Trying to elimanate all problems to run more boost.
  17. How do you test the duty cycle of it? Problem is, im trying to close it with my IEBC but its not closing.
  18. Sorry guys, yes boost solenoid
  19. Does anyone know if these solenoids can handle over 20psi???
  20. Any prices on the R compound size 255/40/17. I think its the Federal 595RS?
  21. Rigged the Jaycar IEBC up as per instructions, intercooler pipe going to top of solenoid, then hose from bottom of solenoid goes to a t/piece, one to atmo with a 1.5mm restrictor and the other to the actuator. Problem is, with IEBC set to 100% or 0% it makes no changes to boost what so ever. Occasionally on the handcontroller it reads a funny reading like a loose conection on the display screen. Load readings read fine when driving upto 64. High or low settings also have no change. I just tested with ignition on and at 0% i cannot blow thru the solenoid. I increase percentage settings and you can hear the solenoid open and i can blow thru it. Hmm, all should work until i go for a drive. Driving along at 60% i should see huge boost but no, just my normal boost curve (around 16psi, im looking for low 20's as like my manual boost controller). So i lower the settings but still no change until i reach 0% and still have 16psi. Hmm weird as when i come home i cannot blow thru the solenoid so why only 16psi. Maybe something is wrong with the IEBC as it climbs past load 1, maybe it doesnt shut the solenoid???
  22. Can you move the flap on the turbo, the one the actuator arm goes to??
  23. Check to see whether your actuator is closed. If its open, this would explain the problem as no boost would generate. You need it closed to enable boost to build.
