Considering the odd setup, I'll just hold on to it as it can't tow anything like that...
-
Here is how it's mounted...
-
Had a closer look at it and I doubt it would handle a lot. It's bolted to the boot under the spare wheel..
-
Selling M35 tow bar as I don't tow anything. It's custom made apparently (got it with the car) and made so you can open window tail gate in case you are using it to carry bikes. You can see it fitted on my car on the picture. Asking $250 for it.

Wtb: Stagea Manual Conversion
valf replied to hot_c210's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Hey, I'm considering doing the same as I hate the bloody auto and always drove manuals before. How far in your 'quest' are you? And most importantly, how much does a manual conversion cost? -
It's actually reading from the "A/T check" light number of blinks ( http://psedog.com/cars/fsm/g35/sedan/2003/at.pdf; page 99-100 ) Anyone in Sydney willing to give my car a consult 3 read ? Would be nice to go for a ride in another M35 too to compare and judge how laggy mine is
-
Had my A/T check light coming up lately and it disappeared as I added some missing Matic J in the transmission. (Might have added too much so will have to drain a little) Anyway, it came back today and I did the manual procedure to check the ECU and the TCU codes. ECU : 0000 so all good TCU : 13, then longer one, then 3. Referring to the trans manual, it indicates : - 13 : A/T 1st engine braking - 3 : Torque converter solenoid valve Since I know nothing about transmissions, maybe you guys could tell me how bad this is? Cheers

What Have You Done To Your Stagea Lately?
valf replied to Hanso's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Had the airbag light always on and the A?T check light came on a few times too. Did the sequence with the key to get rid of airbag light, and added trans oil (matic J). No more lights showing up Just have to look up that rear right noise next and it will be all good (will make sure I check the handbrake cable). -
Saw this today : http://www.carsguide.com.au/car-reviews/2015-hsv-clubsport-lsa-and-maloo-lsa-review-first-drive-36364 Though I would never buy a Commodore, just too flashy. I like the hidden Volvo look of the stagea. First time I saw a Stagea was two years ago (when I arrived to Au from France), really liked how it looked (always preferred wagons) and took a picture of it. Even if I'm a mechanic noob, I still bought one with a blown turbo and thanks to this forum, I'm now a happy stagea owner It's bigger than my previous passat wagon and has more grunt. When I get more $$ to throw at it, I will get Jetwreck to help me solve the lag issue. Also would love it as a manual but it seems quite pricey / complicated so maybe if I kill the auto trans one day ! By the way, I'm an IT engineer so if you need help with IT related stuff, let me know! Maybe you can help me make my car better in return

Would love a Merc E55 amg, but seems that they are all sedan or latest models in Australia, not the ones from 2002-2006 which are affordable in Europe..
-
I guess I'll have to get another then.. Cheers

Ok I'll check that tomorrow ! Silliest question now, is the jack hidden somewhere in M35s ? Had a look the other day and couldn't find it so I wonder if there's one at all in my car...

I noticed that the rear of the car makes a clicking sound when driving on holes. Any idea what's causing it ? Suspension maybe but the sound is similar to that click when putting in gear (which seems common based on other forum posts).

M35 Consult Iii/obd Ii Cable And Software?
valf replied to Vesza's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
BoostdR, is that with the same elm adapter you tried Torque with? I've finally received my usb elm adapter, will start trying out things on my side but it's really cool to know HobDrive supports our cars Will use it as a reference to make sure my adapter isn't faulty. Pretty busy lately so I won't do much coding soon but I'm definitely still keen to get something cool to read sensors and read/reset DTC codes. Thanks again BoostdR -

Paddle shifters look great! (is it the same as those ? http://www.ebay.com/itm/FACTORY-INFINITI-G37-G35-V36-COUPE-SEDAN-OEM-PADDLE-SHIFTER-KIT-IN-GREY-/231109380810 ) -
M35 Consult Iii/obd Ii Cable And Software?
valf replied to Vesza's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Pretty sure torque would work then, the connection string is the same as hobdrive except the ';' which needs to be standard new line character : ATSP5\nATAL\nATIB10\nATSH8110FC\nATST32\nATSW00 Can someone with a working ELM adaptor give it a try? -
M35 Consult Iii/obd Ii Cable And Software?
valf replied to Vesza's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Tried it in torque too, it does "connect to the ecu" but doesn't know how to read the sensors. All you I could see (from both torque and hobdrive) is the battery voltage. Maybe bought a second faulty elm adapter... -

M35 Issues And Rectification A You Have Heard Of
valf replied to tony200's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Anything not to blow my turbo Apparently, a good mod is to also change the dump pipe on the M35 (Scotty's one looks pretty popuular). What's the overall cost of this (part and labor)? Proven benefit on the turbo? -
M35 Issues And Rectification A You Have Heard Of
valf replied to tony200's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
How often is regularly though ? 5000km between oil changes seems to come up fairly often on the forum, it seems a little excessive but I'm no mechanic so I'll trust what's on here -
Low Speed Turns Stutter And Unrelated Question
valf replied to valf's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Ha! That's it then, got the same sticker so that's sorted out ! I'll get a video when the car shudders again and put it here, should help with the troubleshooting. Weird that it doesn't happen every time (maybe only when really hot, will have to test) -
Low Speed Turns Stutter And Unrelated Question
valf replied to valf's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Looks like this remote? Maybe the battery is dead or so then in it. The little red led only turns on when pressing the middle button, not with the start/stop ones. -
