  1. Took the car for a ride and couldn't get it to shudder again so no video yet of it.. For the switch, I tried to follow the cables ( red and black+red) and they go up in the ride side of the steering wheel in the dash. Maybe it's related to the alarm or something. The car also has this little remote to start it from outside (which doesn't work). The switch is definitely not stock as it was fitted with screws in two holes in the lower dash just above the pedals. Can't see any light turning on/off when playing with it.
  2. @Stripey, good call about getting a USB one for dev, gonna use my laptop anyway so that makes it easier. I've read through the patrol thread and what they did is very impressive. Even saw that they can change ecu maps from their LCD screen which is really awesome! Wonder if they fried anything to get there (would rather not to personally)
  3. OBD2 usb device incoming this Thursday, will see how things go from there
  4. Good tyres and oem wheels
  5. Here is a picture of the said button, couldn't hear any pump or anything .

  8. OBD2 adaptor is hopeless, getting a new one asap. Also starting writing something based on what I could find online but no way to test it yet sadly. (https://github.com/valferon/stageaobd2 for the curious ones)
  9. Ha! I've pressed that switch multiple times and not too sure in which position I left it The shudder is quite intense once it starts, is there a way to easily turn off the 4WD to validate that ?
  10. Hey, been looking for similar problems on the forum but wasn't too sure still. Basically, my m35 stutters when driving slowly and turning tight, happened the first time when doing a U turn and since, when I am parking/reversing/... I can take a video of the car doing it if you want to help explaining the problem. I have an extra unrelated question. There is a small switch just behind the panel where the obd2 connector is, anyone would know what it is? Thanks!

  20. That link has information to get me started : http://www.plmsdevelopments.com/images_ms/Consult_Protocol_&_Commands_Issue_6.pdf Will try tonight to get a connection to the ECU, supposing my bluetooth OBD adaptor is not faulty (paid 5$ delivered for it so chances are it's useless, will try it on my mate's Holden too to verify that)
  21. Really informative link, thanks a lot! So my cheap obd2 plug should work as is, need to find out that hex code to initiate the connection to the ECU, and write something up with the consult libs to read all the sensors. Besides that HEX code, should be fairly straight forward hopefully! Too bad they don't share their code
  22. Apparently torque has a beta Consult feature, but expecting a consult cable I guess as it won't work with the standard elm cable. I see that with the consult you also get an obd to consult adapter, would be nice to get one of these to do the opposite and fake a consult port from the obd. Might be enough to get the app to work if the data pin is different or something with our M35s
  23. Virtualbox is available on Mac too so you could run windows xp on it.
