  1. I think alot of you guys have to realise how bad it would feel for the poor guy having his car stolen. I have the same car and i would be in tears! Go easy on him its a bit too late for 'you shoulda done this, and you shoulda had that'. Really sorry to hear about it mate. Hope things work out for the best Good luck. Deren
  2. Anyone know Mike Vines details. Apparently he's in Redand bay Rd Capalaba? Whats his business name?
  3. Flywheel: Bang! -> Gearbox: Bang! -> Engine: Bang! = Bank Account: Bang, bang, bang!!! Hahaha i like that!
  4. Hmm well at this stage i dont even have a sports exhaust haha! The car was stock when imported. Never modified so im starting from scratch. So it'll be a decent improvement even with no support system mods?...Over standard anyway? My biggest query was that will it be safe to drive and run, ie:detonation...
  5. Nissan sell the N1 side skirt rear pod add ons for $350 each side painted to your color as per fectory. Nissan part numbers are: G6856-06U10 (RH side) G6857-06U10 (LH side) Just jap have aftermarket side skirts for $250 I think I paid. They are they same but not just the rear add on its a complete skirt. i spoke to nissan about the same kit as you speak of buts its not possible to get part numbers for anything but the ones i have already given you
  6. To my knowledge they are always pre-gapped but it is a good idea to double check them.
  7. Make sure everything is connected properly in the area you were working. A 'dyno tune' is a waste of time with a car that hasnt got a tunable ecu. One thing you can try is resetting the ECU by disconnecting the battery for a few mins then reconnecting it.
  8. Hey mate, thanks for that. Whats his business name or number? Cheers
  9. He's got an Rb26 so the bleeder screw is on the drivers side of the engine above the plenum next to a little yellow sticker that says do not open when hot.. I doubt you would have any air still in there. A pocket would normally cause problems soon after you do a coolant flush. Shortly after it will find its way out.
  10. Daboss you need to grow up a little i think. How old are you anyway? Are you the same guy that's first post was demanding information?? Im all for DIY servicing but i think its dangerous to send people with no clue to work on their cars. There can be disasterous side affects...
  11. Your welcome
  12. GTS25T 03/96 Color Qm1 manual trans
  13. Where is that from?? Could i bolt these onto an otherwise stock engine/support system for the time being? Same question for the GTSS kit. Thats my biggest problem really. I dont have the budget to go out and modify everything at this stage. Just want reliability.. Cheers, Deren
  14. Hwere do i buy the garrets from? What is the garret model name?
  15. As i said to R31Nismoid i was thinking about the GTSS kit but im way over bidget already with this rebuild. Hmmm not sure what to do now.
  16. Thanks mate. Appreciate it. Deren
  17. Hey guys after a reputable shop in Brisbane that can flow my stock GTR turbos. How much does it cost for both and do they replace the core with a roller bearing assembly? Also what specs are they after rebuild. Many thanks, Deren
  18. Haha cheers mate. Much appreciated info! Deren
  19. Hmm..Yeah one already let go just after imported the car. However i was lucky. Another threw a tip of a blade...still lucky, but i guess my luck has to run out eventually. What would you suggest for replacement turbos. I had planned to use GT-SS kit one day...Thoughts? Its very cheap on Nengun for the kit. Also I noticed in your last post you only said the rods/crank will stand that power. What power will the stock pistons withstand? Deren
  20. Yeah i know its risky. As for power target..To begin with only mild say, 200-250rwkw. But i really don't know where i will stop. Whats the safe working limit of stock internals?
  21. Hey guys im currently rebuilding my Rb26 as the topic states. Im pretty sure i'll have to rebore the block. Was hoping just to hone but probably just end up re-boring. Anyway the car is very stock at the moment but incase of future plans i was thinking to go to forged internals. Is it worth it? Planning mild performance work for sure with a chance of maybe one day getting a little more serious with it. Also plan to fully balance the bottom end. Who has done what and what were the outcomes... Thanks in advance, Deren
  22. Im in the same boat. I also am keen on this particular kit. Its pretty expensive but if its all there i guess its worth it. Also looks nuts..
  23. I was thinking this too. I wouldnt have driven very far before doing a u-turn...
  24. Nah they arent the all the same. Dayco should stock them.
