  3. A very common failure unfortunately. The same thing happened to me! First give the wreckers a call. I bought a whole door in mint condition for $150 so you might get lucky and find the regulator(the part you need) real cheap, otherwise they are $300 from nissan new. I have spare bits but need to help another guy out first (same problem again like yours) So i'll see what i have left over. Like i said first try the wreckers. All r32's are the same
  4. The clicker, more commonly known as the flasher can, is both used by the hazard lights and the indicators. Sounds more like the switch isnt working.
  5. The GTR has the coolant plumbed into a sandwich between the block and the oil filter adaptor, if that has corroded it could be mixing there..
  6. That could be something as simple as the idle up for the a/c compressor. Is the a/c on when this happen?

  11. Hey guys, Im in the process of completely rebuilding my R32 Gtr ground up. It was tidy before (possibly one of the best) but hey im fussy! Prolly like you baron! Anyway i've been told the front and rear glass on the skylines is capsulated, they say that it is very hard to remove without breaking the glass! On top of that ive heard that a genuine front windscreen is around $2000! I prefer to go with genuine nissan stuff but thats crazy! Anyone got any input on the whole glass breaking thing?? Im a little worried. I dont mind changing seals but glass is not an option.
  12. The black box thats clicking will most likely be a relay for the window motor. If its clicking its probably still working, as the clicking you hear is the switch in the relay working. They are a silly/complex setup in the skylines so far as window operation goes. If you have a problem with it it would be best to remove the regulator assembly fixed with 4 bolts/nuts (if i remember correctly) and test it outside the car. This way you can make sure everything is working correctly. Or what is not
  13. I found a really good removal tool in autobarn (believe it or not) It has a threaded adjusment on it with a small handle so you can really tightening it down onto the filter and then you dont have to hold it on there. All it needs then is a crack to the left.

  15. Sounds like your brakes are prolly just getting low after the thrash. If you look thru the wheel you should be able to see the outer pad. The bit between the backing and the disc is the brake material. Normally if a turbo is going you will hear a shrill noise when you come onto boost (terrible noise). They do tens of thousands of RPM so its too fast to sound like a scraping noise. Hope i helped. Deren
  16. Run a diagnostic check on the climate control system. The Workshop manual explains how to. If you dont already have it search for it and d\l it. It sounds to me that the tap that controls flow of water to the heater is not opening. It could be stuck or just plain broken. Deren
  17. There is a diagnostic test for the Atessa system. Its detailed in the GTR manual. Do a search for it and d\l it then run thru what it says to do. Hopefully this will help. Cheers, Deren
  18. Hey guys after some info on those ORC twin plates. Anyone of you got either one of them? Is the 559 much different in the way of pedal feel? what are the differences between the two besides the obvious (higher power handling). I need sumthing for the street. Cheers, Deren

  21. Plugs shouldn't need cleaning if they are fouled your mixture is rich. A correct mixture will keep the plugs clean. Plugs arent finished when they are fouled! They are finished when they are domed. As i said if its fouled fix the mixture not the plug. This will in turn clean up the plugs by itself after driving... Deren
