2017 GTR FESTIVAL - Club entries (EXEC THREAD) ahoy hoy, Entries are now under way for the Nitto Performance 2017 GTR festival hosted by Motive DVD. Once again SAU NSW has a large input with arranging the Heritage Display, Club Display and running the Tarmac Rally. As well as having a bunch of members working during the actual event. (if you would like to help out with the event please see thread in members section GTR FESTIVAL - Volunteers needed the more the merrier) If you would like to like to be apart of the SAU NSW Club display please fill out the below form and return to skylinesausnsw@gmail.com (not Todd) We will be collating entries and submitting as a club display. Entries will have a closing date (TBA) If you are entering the Tarmac rally on the day please just mention that in your email as we will put you closer to the staging area so we don't have heaps of cars driving through the display. http://motivedvd.com/motive/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/2017-GT-R-Festival-Display-Entry-Form.pdf If you would also like to be in the Drag event, use the below entry form but please send that one through to Todd and just mention in the email you will be apart of the SAU club display as well. http://motivedvd.com/motive/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/2017-GT-R-Festival-Drag-Racing-Entry-Form.pdf If you have any questions let us know. We are really looking forward to an even bigger and better event! see you all there.

Could also ask Top Secret imports if they could store the car @MrFijiGold and @GTR-N1 have a great relationship with them.
-
I would have a place available in Blacktown that you could keep the car Steve, it is only 15 minutes from the event and he has a very large lockup garage plus a couple of dogs for good measure. If thats the way you go let me know.

You can either have not spinning bearings or no engine knock but you cant have both, dont be selfish.

Open Sprints Hey, Just wondering if anyone is entering the open/street sprints this year? I should be at most events in a R33 GTR thats midnight purple so come say gday. Although the club has been shut down would still be good to keep the old members active.
-
they did the same last year, Coota is the priority and come next week its all hands on for the festival. Loads happening behind the scenes, will be a great event for sure!
-
Can run full slicks if you really want to But yes if not competing in the championship it doesnt matter.

It gives us great pleasure to announce Motive DVD as the naming sponsor to our SMSP GP track day. Who better to have on board than the GTR's number 1 fan! Thats not the only great news, we will also be having Andrew Hawkins Jet 200 trying to beat the open class S chassis record. 3 months to go so if you have not already entered get onto it!

qld 1997 GTST for sale, located in brisbane
Grease replied to p_stew's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
Put it this way, i just bought a s1 with same mods for 6k in qld for a friend. I also couldnt sell my old gtst for more than 10k with 300kw, haltech etc etc. Max these go for is 8 - 10k and they need to be immaculate. end of the day they are a 20 year old mass produced coupe. Nothing to warrant a high price. GLWS just my 2 cents. -
Yeah the green turd was wrapped. NJD customs did mine. Was happy with it. Cost was part of sponsorship so not a true reflection of what is usually charged. Shoot me a message if you want me to find out more. Also car has be with him for around a week depending on car.

Yeah thats fair. haha

Just a quicky, El nugget is well under way to becoming a Lemon has taken up its new home next to the hand lotion dispenser Evo X, Motor is being pulled to add something a bit more reliable but Ill let the toss bag fill you in. GTR - Right well, its awesome!! Had a few issues come up, the car is street registered but the cage cannot be mod plated in QLD so am trying to organise rally rego for it atm. The other issue I had was the day I got it some scum bag tried to knock it off. luckily he pulled one of the kill switches (moron) he has also been caught by the cops, waiting to hear what he gets. Car is in need of some attention, dont think it was overly cared for by previous owner who also has no clue what these cars really are. looks like a new sponsor is coming on board for the 2017 sprint series in QLD, im hoping just to re tune on Haltech and enjoy hammering around for 6 months or so before going single and adding all the cool crap to get it faster. Think I may start a new thread as "poor mans race car" doesnt really work for a GTR lol. Pissing off this week to get married then ill have 3 weeks to get everything ready for my first race weekend!! bring it on.

Courses: Released on the day at sign on First timers: Don't be shy, you'll love it. Those of you that have been to one of these before will agree, this is the best money you can spend as far as driving time for an event. The event will be run after run until 3.30pm, and considering most runs are under 1 minute AND that we're kicking off at 9am, that's a lot of runs This is a safe event where you only go as hard as you want to, there's no pressure, one car on a course at a time. Perfect for beginners to have a first try at driving their pride and joy off the streets. Motorkhana is a low cost way to get involved in motorsport. You can get your first taste of motor sport in your standard road car, but this discipline also caters to the most skilled and experienced of drivers in highly modified or purpose built Motorkhana specials. The competition is designed to test the acceleration, braking and manoeuvrability of a vehicle and the skill and judgement of the crew members. A motorkhana may be conducted on a sealed or unsealed surface and involves manoeuvring through tight and twisty tests marked by flags. Cars will be started individually and there will be one car on course at one time. With that said, there's usually some friendly competition between mates, which is great to watch SAUNSW Members Championship: This Event will be the 2nd Round of a 4 Round Championship. LICENCE REQUIREMENTS: CAMS L2S or AASA club licence Motorsport licence and current club membership card must be shown on the day at the sign in desk. AASA Day license can be purchased on the day for $25 How the day runs: If you've never driven on a track before and want someone experienced to give you instruction and help with how to drive better, faster or safer, or even if you've done a couple of track days and just want to ask some questions (no matter how silly they may seem), we have this at no extra charge available throughout the day. Firstly, when you arrive at the track, find a place to park and empty all loose objects out of the car. Ensure there's nothing loose in the engine bay and that there are no leaks, that your brake lights work and you have all your wheel nuts on and have tightened your sump plug etc. Next step is to go to the office and sign on for the day, take your licence with you and you will be given a scruitineering sheet. Once you receive that, it's time to drive your car to the scruitineering shed, it's the only building right next to the parking. Your car will be checked to make sure it's safe to go on the track, and it will then be assigned a number which is your number for the day. Once you've done all that, it's now time to wait for the drivers' briefing to begin (which will be announced on the loud speakers throughout the pits, and starts at 8.30am sharp). Once the drivers' briefing is over, all the drivers are split into groups based on experience so that everyone is comfortable in their group. One group is then allowed on the track at a time for evenly-timed sessions. Once one group comes off, another goes on. This repeats until the end of the day with a short break around lunch so officials and helpers can get some food and drinks. Groups are small to ensure we have lots of space on the track. Groupings will be based on previous lap times and experience That's basically it! Please note there will be no refunds unless the event is sold out and there are reserves One of the things that really sets our club apart is our commitment to being true enthusiasts. When on normal roads we strive to maintain good relations with the authorities as well as the public in general. When attending one of Skylines Australia NSW events please try to: * Be aware of surrounding environment and act accordingly. * Drive courteously on the state’s roads as a true enthusiast should. * Understand how important it is to maintain the good name of SAUNSW and thus, treat others accordingly. * Any misbehaviour will not be tolerated and you will be asked to leave. *** Details may change. check back regularly. *** On the day please bring your Motorsport license and current membership card as we need to visually see it, We will have you fill out a entry form and waiver on the day. *** Supp Regs will be available closer to the date.
