  4. Well the nugget is sold. It's gone to possibly the worst place possible. Fatz shed.... soon to be lemon v396. It's not all bad for me, bought my dream car, midnight purple R33 GTR Vspec, ex targa tas car, engineered weld in cage, n1 turbos, apexi FC and a lot of other goodies. Once I get it back to Brisbane I'll pull a few things apart and see what else it has. https://vimeo.com/191109298

  10. Pretty much caught up now. Made a stupid decision to drive down to Bathurst and pick up another 33 for beer money. Had a blown motor but had some other good parts I needed. Got that home and pulled the motor out and took all the bits I wanted which in the end was only the Coil packs and Cusco adj castor arms. We stripped the Motor down to figure out what was actually wrong with it and of course broken ring in Cyl 6. So I have a spare rooted motor at the moment. If you want it let me know Next on the list is Cage and new dash setup as well as removing all sound deadening. I have acquired the Fatz Tarmac rally spec agi bolt in so that is this weekends job, I am anticipating a lot of swearing and beer will be needed. Only way I fit in the nugget is by removing the seats Started pulling the wiring and unnecessary crap out of the car the past two nights. Also have fortunately got a big wang designed by Andrew Brilliant so that is also on the list of fitting. Over the summer will be adding a complete Aero setup for the car. Booked into Jez for a touch up and to get the car looked at in a few weeks. I found out I am moving to Brisbane the week after WTAC due to the lady friends promotion. Looking forward to hammering some new tracks and seeing how el nugget goes in the heat. Will post some pics of the car once cage is in. If you are coming down to wtac the car is on display and I will be in the pits with Fatz and Brian, most likely sitting around doing nothing and talking smack, come say gday. Also had a FB page now for extra e fames so give it a like please https://www.facebook.com/apexmotorsportR33/
  11. Don't know why those pics keep double posting.........Oh well you can stare at a good looking pair twice! Week or so later went and did GP circuit for the first time. Track was flooded with cars and still trying to set the car up properly. Insert Nick Adams who came down before night shift and we backed rear sway bar off. BAM!! that did wonders for the car. Was heaps of fun after that! Only thing I hated was the new Pads in the car (Sorry Ricky) they were shit and I had to brake a lot earlier and they were biting hard really early and then a lot of fade when hot. Will be swapping them out before next outing. 14172221_505430329668265_1479106246_n.mp4 There was a Replica Group A 32GTR there and Desmond and him had a little run down the straight together. Massive fireball from Des. That was probably the highlight of the day haha. 14092374_1110474849021057_1642053633_n.mp4 Best lap time was 1:58.05 - Not happy with that at all was really hoping to get low 1:50's. Next outing will be 1:49 or i'm burning the car. Week or so later had the SAU NSW - South Circuit track day. Was good fun as always and was in the fast group so had was funny watching the big boys drive off into the distance Did a 1:07.4 and Nick a 1:07.1 (am I finally getting close to a similar ability? Probably a no) Fun vid with some hot laps and a fair few stuff ups at the end.
  12. Now that having a thrash was out of the way it was back to Wakefield with Nick Adams again, Decided to go a haltech boost solenoid as the EBC decided to crap itself. Ol mate Jez was a champ and just emailed me an updated map. Saved the drive up there! You need Hi-Vis is my garage for safety of course (Also fitted the night we were heading down to Wakefield) GTRKAT had just got her car back and came and said hello, now if I can somehow workout how to steal that motor and put in my car....... Dam we are good looking!! Changes since last wakefield day was Coilovers and Diff, I still hadn't played with the setup to get it right so was more of a testing day. Car was a nugget, everything was to stiff, if I didn't have huge amounts of over steer it was under steer. Took the whole day of adjusting things to even get close to what we wanted but I still wasn't happy. Nick managed to do a 1:11.8 and I managed a 1:13.35 according to Harry's lap timer on a passenger session but Natsoft timed lap was a 1:14.3 so I will go off natsoft for now so I can beat my PB again next time Brake Pads were done by the end of this day. Was still the QFM A1RM's I had bought towards the begging of this thread. Awesome pads but now time for something a bit more aggressive. Perks of being an Exec - we did a track day prep tech day at Skyline Autoworks and my car was used as the demo car. I found a few issues. Got to check over the whole car properly got a oil change with Takumi oil. Still don't know how I feel about it. Only had 2 track days with it. It got a little hot compared to the Penrite I was running prior but I know I am also hammering the car a bit more nowadays so will monitor it a bit more and report back after next oil change.
  13. Time for an update!! After the 6 hour was Bathurst Hill climb - Dont remember my times will have to track those down. Chucked new BC HR coilovers in. I was after BC ER as I had seen Riccho having good results but unfortunately no stock in Sydney. Spring rates were 8/10kg I wanted 10/12 but again no stock. Once I got back from Bathurst I had them swapped over. Way way better! Bloody nightmare getting el nugget started in that cold weather. As always trying to get the car fixed the day before racing. Bathurst is epic! butt puckering moments constantly, Vid of my shit driving. Open diff still and you can hear the nugget struggling to get traction. Big thanks to the Old man and Biggie for helping out. Didnt break anything but Once I got back we had about 2 weeks until GTR festival where I was asked to do some skids in the motorkhana event. Ended up having NJD customs come on board and help out with a few mechanical issues and even gave the car a mad wrap and chucked a welded diff in thanks to Ricky at Skyline autoworks Motive DVD - GTR Festival I know the grille is crooked, shits me every time I see the pic. For anyone that was there they would have seen me be a spastic and understeer into the gutter on the course. I swear it jumped out at me but meh. Did some nice damage to the LCA, Rack end and Castor arm. Didnt break my coilovers or my shitty $200 rims from fatz, SCORE! Back to stock castor arms, new LCA, New Rack end. Also thanks to Ricky Next event was SAU NSW - Texikhana. Jesus, we had severe weather warnings for that weekend and I have never seen so much water on the parade ground before. Good fun and just spent the whole day doing skids the car was soaked I was soaked, the boot was full of water since my tail light doesnt seal properly. To eager when putting back in and snapped a bolt.
