  1. SOLD! Refer sig Seriously though, you still have it?
  2. I have a video from the Perth 2004 Autosalon with ND4SPD on the dyno. I tried (unsuccessfully) to upload/attach here at SAU. If anyone has 6.5Mb of webspace available and if guys are interested, I could upload it for hosting. Boy o boy it sounds great.
  3. Great pictures, thanks dude. Very interesting
  4. ermmm verbal only I have a few books. The best one I've found is titled "Japanese in Mangaland". As I'm not going to Japan anytime soon, I take great pleasure in picking up pieces of conversation in anime. for GunGrave Rezz any good tools for understand reading and writing? cause I have no idea what you wrote.... except for the part Yorik those counters are cool because I can tell you're excited about going mate! I would be too! I've never been however what I've seen fascinates me. The people, the stores, the language, the culture, everything. Hey I wonder if an exchange student would be a good way to improve my language skills! We could teach each other!
  5. Yorik you were up to that lesson WEEKS AGO! Thanks again for helping me out mate, it is a lot of fun and it avoids the drive to work being a waste of time. Do you just run through each one once? I've been doing them a few times each until I'm happy with what is being said. I'm at lesson 1-8 or so I think. I studied Indonesian years ago and I'm just remembering how strange it feels to think in a different language, rather than think English and convert as you start speaking. I'd like to think that even just making the effort will be appreciated when you travel! Love to hear how things went once you come back.
  6. Thanks! That's Jamie the spraypainter holding my 'non-accident damage' rear quarter from my R32 Note the spot welds along the back of the wheel arch. See how many rust spots you can find By the way Ron how did you pull that stuff out? Did you use one of those long claw tool things - the ones good for picking up the bolts you drop in the engine bay? Nicely done mate!
  7. I've heard that you should steer clear of the red coolants. Is there any truth to it? ...something about if you haven't used it in the motor since 0km then you shouldn't go near it? :scratcheshead:
  8. Ron it might even be some loose part that has fallen down inside the rear quarter panel. I had my right rear replaced when I painted the car and inside I found: a D-cell battery a spark plug removal tool a diary (in Japanese) a single woollen glove my original gearshift so yeah I worked out what the rattly noise was... Good luck with yours dude
  9. Hi dude, Unfortunately I received a PM at 04:47PM from an interested person. He is new to SAU so I am not sure if I'll hear back. If I haven't heard anything by Tuesday afternoon, we're in business. PayPal would work a treat! But I'll report back either Tuesday evening or sooner if I receive confirmation. Thanks itbmils! Mark
  10. Rezz thanks very much for an informative post! That makes a lot of sense and it is reassuring to know both are right and I was mixed up (wasn't sure who to trust! ). I'll keep at it, thanks again for your help. Learning via CD is great fun and much easier & practical than a book, but it's hard to ask questions! Cheers
  11. Where do you find the key code/number?
  12. Whislt driving to work each day I usually run a learn japanese CD. Guys could you please help me with the difference between (pardon the romanji, this is just a guess) 'wakari mas' and 'wakari mashita' as I've watched anime that uses the latter and heard it on some CDs however Pimsleur uses the former. Is one more formal than the other? Thanks guys.
  13. Please tell me I missed the sarcasm...
  14. Is that import place still around? It was called Imports4U or something like that. It was in a street almost parallel to Peel St but back two or three, near the railway line...? Nice bloke in there. Helped me out with a stuffed coilpack on my 180SX.
  15. That shine looks great mate! What 2 pack did you use? I assume it was an actual automotive 2pack...? What are you using for a drying area/spray booth? I've traditionally placed them inside a small (empty!) fishtank. I love the foil on the rims. It all turned out very nicely. Now, time to logoff and go back to my Silvia
  16. 1/24 Ferrari Dino Le Mans just sold on eBay. I'll leave it to you to check out the final price. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...A:IT&ih=003
  17. 2 x RB26 AFMs. From my R32. Both meters have the mesh screen intact. $90 each or $150 for the pair. Priced to sell, need some fun money. Price is firm. Post is extra. Thanks for looking! Mark
  18. Hello dude. I have a pair from my R32. $150 for the pair, postage extra. I'm happy with direct deposit, COD or PayPal. Cheers Mark
  19. Hi mate, I'm interested in the Pioneer head unit however I don't understand how you're working out the reserve/instant? is there an end date?? Thanks Mark
  20. I have to echo what ebola said. You should conduct a compression test as a rough check that the head is still sealing. And when you say overheated, do you mean there was steam under the bonnet or did the water temp gauge actually move into the wrong side of the dial?
  21. Understood. Just interested in the value of V-Specs. Perhaps a PM would have been more appropriate. Sorry about that.
  22. Nice work. How did you spot the inlet manifold leak? Could you hear it? Did you use a vacuum gauge? Cheers
  23. If you'll pardon me being so forward, may I ask the sale price please?
  24. Nicely done. Thanks for posting your findings, it'll help the next guy doing the same thing
  25. Isn't halfway on the gauge the normal operating temp? Whereabouts were you expecting it to go to indicate normal? Seems ok to me...?
