Learn how to spell dude. The internet doesn't charge by the letter.

Duncan don't go to Darwin then I've seen their local order that instructs controllers to sleep whilst on duty. And when I say on duty, I mean sitting in the chair with your headset looking at the radar pffft nightshift... I'll see what I can do about the Melbourne flight. I'll assume it's a 1745 departure ML->SY?

Why not? Isn't that why you have a fuel filter?

I'm an air traffic controller so that isn't much use to anyone. I guess I can keep hitting up the boss for a NSW Club practice on the 7,000ft/2100m runway. Hey does anyone know a fibreglasser in western Sydney? It's for car parts - I recently moved from Newcastle and need another manufacturer. A PM or post here would be awesome. Cheers.
-
Oh yeah, when I painted the car I checked Nissan prices for the bits I added (vents, skirts, bootlip). Vents = around $180 each Skirts = around $400 each Bootlip = can't remember I'm afraid (nearly a year ago) I used fibreglass as the parts don't flex or see much movement. Nearly a year later and there have been no breakages, cracks or blemishes, so I'm pretty stoked. Cheers

The front reinforcement bar needs to be cut as well. The JustJap front vents are excellent. Make sure you buy vents that have a thin lip - the thick/wide ones are cheap ripoffs. Once you look at a set or two you'll know what I mean. As far as sideskirts go, I can sell you a fibreglass pair of Nismo copies (ie the skirts that fit over the original R32 skirts) and JustJap can sell you the one piece fibreglass replacements that are full-length. ...spot the new indicator...

Hi Zac The GTR brakes are 4-pot Sumitomos. The R32 GTR VSpec I & II have Brembos. Mark

Nice! That's what I'll need to purchase. I ceased procrastinating today. I pulled the laptop apart, cleaned the heatsink, re-pasted the CPU, loaded .net framework, loaded ECUTalk beta and plugged it all together. 10minutes later I traced the power loss to AFM1. The voltage drops to 0.8V whilst AFM2 is still outputting 2.0V+ The car actually stalled at the lights tonight, due to AFM1 dropping out and the ECU didn't catch it in time. I came home from work half hour ago and played around for a bit, trying to suss out which one was AFM1. I worked it out when I managed to trigger limp-home mode when I pushed hard on one of the AFM plugs. So, I found AFM1 and it appears it is a connector problem. I thought it might have been a bad/corroded earth - I'll do a little more fault finding over Easter and hopefully clear this up for good. Pete if you let me know your PayPal email, I have $25 that would have gone to the Datascan people. You offered your program gratus and I appreciate it mate. -

I used JustJap to purchase new R32 outer sills from Japan. Just over $300 each for R32. -

Ok Pete, next task: universal pda cradle/holder/something tidier than glue-on velcro to mount the pda on the dashboard. Any ideas? I checked around but didn't find much. That said, I'm the guy that looked and looked and then paid twice what you did for a pda! Nice score on the 547, sounds very nice. If it works as nicely like you've mentioned, perhaps I'll keep the HP and leave it in the car. Good on you for shipping one to warren, there should be more of that in the world -

ECUTalk started successfully and sat there checking COM ports every few seconds. That was as far as I could go. Quite pleasantly surprised that it started on PPC2000. -
Re: rattle guns I found out the hard way a few weeks ago that there are specially made rattle gun sockets! Cracked my 14mm But it got the exhaust bolt off! Giddyup

I know it damages paint because I dripped a single drop onto one of my rims a few months ago and it now has a big 'pimple' the size of a 1c piece : Bummer. Good thing they need painting anyway!

:werd: Morgs painted his car dark green, very close to the dark green Subaru colour. Looks great. If you're after a yellow GTR, Stirlo_GTR has one for sale that he painted Modena yellow. After seeing pics of R32s in Bayside Blue, I agree with the guys that suggest a dark colour. The black with pearl sounds very nice. 2.2c

Johnny Cash I'm with you. For the newer members that may not have read the thread, check out: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...owtopic=408&hl= Interesting reading. I had the same problem in my 180SX.

Pete that HP548 loaded .net cf and ecutalk successfully. Now I'm waiting on the null modem and sync cable. So far: DIY Consult $50 HP548 $90 Null modem $6 Serial Sync $8 We'll be in business by the end of the week for the princely sum of around $160. Giddyup. -
My car does the same thing, intermittently. Cleaning the AFMs helps - usually prevents it occurring for a few weeks. And thumbsup to Dezz - agree 100% dude, having your car idle to 'warm up' is not required and you're worse off for doing so.
-
Oven cleaner works very well and does not damage the plastic. Spray the car, then place it in a sealed bag. Leave it for 10-15mins and viola, paint rinses away. For polishing, Brasso is another good one to use. Once it is polished, dip it into acrylic floor polish like Pledge One-Go.

How To Remove Steering Wheel On R32?
cowie165 replied to WazR32GTSt's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
As Duncan politely suggested to me, make sure you leave the large nut on the thread as you pull the wheel off. It prevents you explaining the bruised forehead at work the next day. -
For Sydney pickup please. Looking for one, happy to buy two at the right price. One of mine is stuffed and the other has a loose plug/connector fitting. $50 each and could do more if both screens are still fitted/undamaged. Thanks! Kind regards, Cowie

You got it. Hey when you decide to buy one, look for a Hasegawa or a Fujimi. They make the best Tomcats in 1/72 scale. Black sounds smooth, and then you don't have to paint the black trims around the windows!

Thanks Jase, I'm html-challenged. Post had been edited.

Nice! I'm not sure if I want to make it the same as my car or something different. I've always liked the dark blue and the burgundy R32s! What are your plans? I've seen that R32 kit in shops and online for around the $40 mark - I bought all of mine through that website for around $13-$15 each, yeehah! What's the scissor wing plane? The vertical one sounds like a harrier but I'm not sure what the other one is!
