  1. Shaun if you spell your words properly you will probably see a better response from the guys here.
  2. Hi dude, the paintjob came up nicely! That ground coat looks a lot darker than mine did. By the way, I found the same thing with the cans causing paint to bubble. If you continue to shake the can every few minutes plus you make sure you press the button all the way down, it works very nicely.
  3. Wow, hadn't thought of x-raying, good idea. I had hoped to get away with things a little cheaper than that though As with everything, you get what you pay for
  4. I was fined for overstaying my welcome in a 2h spot outside the public hospital - whilst I was inside helping deliver my second little girl! Appealed. Denied. Wankers. And Airzone, that sucks when you have no option but to pull over. Here's hoping you are excused but without any evidence being available you'd be doing well to pull it off.
  5. gR33dy: Hello mate, trying to send you a PM but inbox appears full or disabled. Thanks dude
  6. Those R33 pads will fit an R32 GTR as well.
  7. For what it's worth I'll keep an eye out in the lower mountains/western sydney area. Hope you find it fast! I know your feeling
  8. That sucks to hear dude. Did you happen to have shown it to potential buyers at the garaged address?
  9. Cheers Andrew, everyone loves dish Hey how much was painting please? As you can see in the pic, mine have been under chemical attack by the looks of it and the alloy is worse for wear. Thanks Joel. It's the Duplicolor MetalCast Anodized Red, MC-200. It turned exactly as I wanted - so that non-Skyline guys might confuse it with a factory colour, as opposed to a bright green or something like that. The more coats the deeper the red. Here is the order sheet for those interested:
  10. Just to clarify, that bleeding order is: Rear left Rear right Front left Front right Disable immobiliser/alarm Disconnect battery Front ABS Rear ABS Reconnect battery Enable immobiliser/alarm
  11. Cheers Ben I have just fitted RB74s and have enjoyed squeal-free driving. I used CRC Anti-Squeal Paste (orange stuff in a bottle) and bedded the pads as advised Genesis' thread ( 2x 50->20 medium effort, 6x 100->70 high effort, 15min cool-off). As far as bleeding goes, AutoOne and other places sell one man bleeder kits (known as a switchblade j/k) and they are very easy to use. Bleed from the furthest caliper (from the brake master) to the closest, then bleed the ABS (front nut then rear nut). It may take a drive to have the air settle and (like me) it will need to be done again. Mark
  12. Bled them again the other night. No need to pump anymore, yay, but it is still a little spongy and you can't heel-toe anymore. Thanks Black32, I've driven it for 100km or so, so I'll have another go as soon as I can build up the motivation! Any RB74s are squeak free! CRC Anti-Squeal Paste then bed in as instructed by Racebrakes and haven't heard a peep, hurrah! The ABS works too!
  13. All done and dusted. Schmiddy thanks for the thread, I would have ended up with calipers painted in VHT Red (read: ugly!) otherwise. They turned out with a neat finish and nicely understated when you walk past the car. The fronts have three or four coats of red and turned out great. The rears copped six or so and turned out much darker and the metal(?) flakes weren't as visible. Just something to keep in mind. Before After As Blitz says, another limited edition gunmetal grey R32
  14. R32 drivers: Has anyone tried to fit an R33 snorkel under their bonnet? This must have come up before, I'm hoping the answer is yes! Cheers
  15. I request this thread be stickied. Good on you Birnie for finding it dude. I wish I had searched for it two weeks ago Adjusting hand brake If you are removing your discs it is probably a great time to check your handbrake. The R32 manual says to to: Place the disc on the studs and fit wheel nuts so disc is secured to the hub. (Give the adjuster a good blast with brakekleen) Turn the adjuster from the top and towards the vehicle. ie. you are pushing the screwdriver into the top and it will click as it rotates away from you. Once the disc is locked and immobilised, rotate the adjuster in the reverse direction for five or six clicks. I went with six as I would hate to have that drum rubbing Replace the rubber plug and you're done. You can then adjust the lever stroke with the nut under the handbrake in the centre console. It should fully engage in 6-8 clicks. Cheers!
  16.
  17. 32 godzilla: PM 'ferni' and ask him about his pair of R33 GTR turbos for sale. He'll look after you. Mark
  18. Same as sav man. Cat-back only.
  19. That's it. I'm off to request a name change to Rex Banner and I'll get all you Barons, Beer or otherwise.
  20. I just noticed that the VSpec has some tweeters mounted near the A-pillar! Nice! Must go with the CD player option. Cheers Richard!
  21. No Rellik, just buy a car from someone who doesn't tell you the whole story It was just a bit of light fun and not meant to hassle G_man too much. Well maybe just a little I tried no windscreen but it kept messing up my hair Marcus I owe you pics dude. When I organise (beg/borrow) a camera I'll beam them over. Just painted the calipers too (deep red metalcast) looks a treat.
