  1. If you can help, please PM or email. If you can take a pic of the back to confirm the two fittings are still 100%, that'd be appreciated. Thanks, Mark [email protected]
  2. When my other car was written off a few weeks ago (truck u-turned point blank and our car rolled) the NRMA lost the wreck!... It went to the towing depot, then disappeared between there and the salvage yard that was about a week ago and they hadn't found it last time I spoke on Tuesday. But with regard to the whole making an assessment based only on pictures, they can always ask for more pictures to look at an area of interest. When the assessor rocks up in person, they do the same anyway - they are almost as likely to miss hidden damage in my opinion. Well maybe I'm talking out my ass, I probably am, but it is cheaper for the NRMA to send pics to a lot of repairers rather than send an assessor to only one workshop. That said, I was pretty scared that the internet assessor would decide to repair the car. The whole tendering process is for financial reasons as we all know and they're always out to 'economise' and so on. Remember when we were told bank fees would go down as these new "ATM's" would mean less tellers employed? Then the bank stings you for an ATM fee! wtf!? And now some of them are charging online transaction fees! WTF!? That has knobs on it. Sorry about going off-topic.
  3. Sorry to doubt you mate, but you have me confused. What is the name of your RSM please? That'd help clear things up. And if you are in 4RAR well done, that course is nuts. That said, if you're a paratrooper, well done also, because PTS is nuts too! Good luck with your search dude. Mark edit: due shpelling
  4. Speaking of driving riders, is Wayne Gardner still racing in the JGTC? And Doohan was driving the Maybach. To me it's the ultimate statement in largess and and pompousness. The super cruiser that noone dares afford.
  5. Glenn is the dual-gauge holder the replacement part for the a-pillar like the GReddy one? I'm guessing it is because that's why you want a single, but would like to check first! Mark
  6. Rick are the dump pipes from your R32 or R34 please?
  7. PM sent re pads.
  8. You could try one of those citrus based cleaners. They are very good but as the guys have said, if it's enamel paint then you're going to have to be creative/work hard to avoid using thinners.
  9. Hi Flipmo, What did it feel like/sound like when the turbine died?
  10. Just make sure you post a few pictures of this bizarre interior before you change it I want to see this woodgrain!
  11. With respect, you need to crawl before you can walk - I'd take any driver training I could get into and it would be a good warmup for you to learn about your new car. You'll find out how well it brakes and turns and how to handle it when it loses traction, and so on. You have a great driving history and courses like Bates' will help you keep it. Good on your oldies!
  12. I use the 4ohm 6.5 kevlar speakers for home audio (from the JC30? kit) and they are brilliant. Great clarity and on paper the low frequency response is very good, although they really need a subwoofer. Hey if you're going to fit them into the car, which crossover and which tweeter are you planning on using? I have Alpine 2-ways at the moment and I'm wishing I had had the dollars for splits.... Mark
  13. Welcome GRKGTR. Yes you can. Yes it's a pain in the ass. No they don't fit very well. Looks like Troy might sell you one, read above. I'm guessing you could achieve the same aim with a laptop and a consult interface.
  14. yeh, haXors n00bs liek u need to werk on yer micro dude u got pwned. m33t teh l33t n00b. Man it takes so much effort to think like that, I don't know why guys can be bothered...
  15. Hi mate. What do you do in the ADF? PM if you prefer. Mark
  16. Roger. Fire one! It's grammAr not grammEr! hehe  Sorry Duncan, had to be done
  17. Hi Alan, Do you know if the kit NewKleer is working on come with this connector please? Thanks Mark
  18. Oh baby bring on the spellchecker. Some guys still don't realise there isn't a character limit when posting on the internet... Hey whilst we're talking about spelling, is it considered poor form to politely correct someone else's spelling mistake? A few common ones in the last week or so are fair/fare, break/brake, servers/service, etc. To be honest, if someone was polite I would prefer to know the right way to spell something but I'm not sure if others would be offended by it...?
  19. Hi I'm after either a new bar or one without any plastic welding/damage in the top half. If you can help, please PM or email [email protected] Thanks Mark
  20. Down behind the ATTESSA reservoir we found: a journal in japanese a rotting woollen glove the original gearknob a D-cell battery and a sparkplug removal tool...? e-Bay here I come
  21. In my case it covered up a minor knock in the rear quarter, decent hit at the front, and another hit in the driver's door. I only decided to paint it because I had to replace a sill panel. And after the expense I've gone to to have the car sorted structurally (inc. near rear quarter) I wouldn't sell the car for the same money as other "89 shitters". What I'm getting at is judge each car on its merits. He may have imported it for $7 and then spent $5k painting and repairing and is now trying to make a buck? Hats off to him if he is, but yeah it's expensive for an R32 but I've spent nearly five figures on my car just in paint and panels (grrrr). New factory paintjobs are cool.
  22. lol, yep it's the little mudflap Well the whole car is being sprayed at the moment so a half-second squirt of paint is no problem. Bummer you didn't buy it a few days ago cause I could have had it painted KH2 like mine. I don't know what colour it was though - I just found one and had it shipped to the panel shop, sorry mate. I'll ask the painter next time I talk to him or you could just ask Chris @ Toy Shop. btw what was the genuine bootlip spoiler worth? I'm using fibreglass - we'll see how we go... Cheers! Mark
  23. And yep, been through all the buffing/bog jokes too Hey I know of a 2002 Liberty going for cheap. One owner. Comes with glass fragments throughout interior. Runs and drives well. Grade 3.5
  24. A light truck did a U-turn in front of my wife at point blank range, turning from her left to right. She swerved to avoid but had oncoming traffic doing 100kmh. Shot the gap, the truck drove into the pax door, car spun off the road, down an embankment, rolled, rolled again and came to rest on the other side of the embankment. Wife, mum, and our two kids are ok, amazingly. Just seatbelt aches and pains.
