Living With An R33 Gtst
Dan93 replied to shubby0901's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
The tyres should be fine if they're just sitting for two weeks man. You could have something draining the battery more than usual, mine used to sit for 2 weeks and then have a flat battery. I think it could be that -

Keep your tyres properly inflated. How long does it usually sit? -

To Bleed Or Not To Bleed?

Brakes were bled. It doesn't leak. I don't see the problem here. -

Wheel Sizes & Offsets For Skylines

Instead of going 9.5. Wouldn't having a 9" make it fit easier? That way you'll have a tyre that matches the width correctly with no stretch. -
To Bleed Or Not To Bleed?
Dan93 replied to Dan93's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I know I wasn't supposed to split it, but I didn't know those bolts held the caliper together. So now I've got to get the caliper pulled apart to replace the o ring? OK bleeding it isn't such a problem now considering I don't know the problems I have made, by slightly loosening the caliper. Edit: I'd also like to add that it is not leaking at all since I did up those bolts. -
To Bleed Or Not To Bleed?
Dan93 replied to Dan93's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Yes the caliper split slightly, but I still had the top one done up. It was only till I loosened it slightly that fluid came out. It's all together and well, I just need to know if I need to bleed that brake specifically. I will bleed them all when I get the chance, but would I be able to drive it as it sits now? -
Hi guys just a quick question as I've done a search. Do I need to bleed the front passenger side brake? This was my first time having a go at changing the rotors and pads and I undid the bolts that held the caliper in place (starting from bottom to top). I realised that when I undid the last top one slightly some fluid came out so I redid it. Now I'm wondering do I need to bleed just that side? Thanks, I'm new to brakes so be gentle.

Stock at the moment, will mostly get 230rwkw once I'm finished with it. Used for the hills mainly. -

Before you do power mods. Perhaps make sure your brakes are up to the task. Definitely get a full exhaust system first though. -
Wheel Sizes & Offsets For Skylines
Dan93 replied to Sydneykid's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I don't like the idea of a tyre being smaller than it should be. I obviously want it to look good and tyre fitment needs to be spot on. I'm not worried about paying more for a wider tyre. -
Wheel Sizes & Offsets For Skylines

Damn no good. Those tyres will be too skinny. At the moment it's got 17x8.5's on the front with 235's I think and 17x9's on the rear with 255's. No idea on offset, but you can get a slightly angled finger in between the rear tyre and guard. -

Seriously man, considering you have little mechanical knowledge, lack of funds and have what sounds like a really run down GTR. You would be better off selling it or parting it and starting with something fresher that's had a little bit more love. Not having a dig at you, but more friendly advice. -
Wheel Sizes & Offsets For Skylines
Dan93 replied to Sydneykid's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Hey guys I've got my mind set on Enkei's RPF1's in 18's. I'm having trouble finding what offset I need and I don't want to roll the rear guards. Also I want the correct tyre sizes because I want a functional setup. It's asking for a lot, but I want it to be perfect. Edit: 18x9's all round be asking too much? -

Looking good mate! I'm in Adelaide too, I'll keep an eye out for ya. -
Switched from Nulon 10w 40 full synthetic to Motul (same grade) because of the E85 compatibility. Doesn't say on the bottle, but read somewhere that it is.
