  1. I'm thinking you'd have to loosen it. If there's too much tension, when on light load, there won't be enough positive pressure to open the valve, and the air will simply keep moving on into the compressor housing and get chopped by the compressor wheel, thus the fluttering sound. If you've bought it new, the manual ought to state which way you should turn the screw to loosen the spring tension. Nick
  2. I'm pending at this point. My interest isn't the worry, just the cash (isn't it always?) Money tree out the back died. How about the re-fitment of my Blitz BOV, as it currently resides on the pipe between the FMIC I'm running now and the throttle body. The stocky is unplugged. Extra cost? How about the cost of new piping from the throttle body to the place where the kit you are offering starts, so I can eliminate the stock piece of garbage and have you's mount the Blitz one along there somewhere? Thanks for your help, it's a top deal and I hope I dont miss out.
  3. The Trust one is awesome I've heard. I've heard nothing but praise about it. Apparently on a 32 when it comes on, it hits you like a tonne of bricks! It's my turbo of choice when the time comes for an upgrade.
  4. I had dramas with the previous owner's adjustment on my Blitz BOV, a simple tweak and she was running sweet. But now that I've just plugged in the Power FC (yet to be tuned), yeah I get higher revs when first turning the car on (like 1400rpm), but it rarely comes back down to where it would ordinarily idle wehn warm on the stock computer (700rpm). And when decelerating coming up to a roundabout for example at 30km'h in 2nd, as I exit the roundabout my revs will rise and I can actually increase my speed without touching the accelerator. I know the base program is not so great - typically running rather rich - but is the car feeding more fuel to the engine and at the same time being misread as throttle when the clutch is out and my foot's off the accelerator? WTF? The mind boggles. There I go, having a spit when all it probably needs is a tune... Anyone ever experienced anything similar though? Cheers!
  5. One question, though... By the way the veilside wing looks on the carmate website, the path of the aerial seems to be blocked. Is that really the case or is it just the angle of which their picture is depicted? If it doesn't interfere, then that wing's the very next thing on my "To-Get" list. Thanks mate Nick
  6. That's hot, adrian. Lose 2.5" or so of ride height and I'd declare her finished aesthetically. Well done.
  7. Jetspeed do that rear bar, full replacement for about $420 or so. I'm right into the Veilside one myself, will surely append it to my ride in the not-too-distant future.
  8. Hey you lot, Im keen for a go at the drags on Wednesday 26th March at the Creek, but since Ive never been there before I'm wondering what I need to take to be allowed to run? And what time would I best get there to get a go? Any help is appreciated. Have fun...
  9. Jasma is a Blitz sub-ordinate company, kind of like Lightning Audio is a Rockford Fosgate product simply marketed as a different company, so your hard-earned dollars end up in the same hands. My R33 GTS-t came to Australia with this exhaust already fitted (like most), and it is 3" in diameter turbo back, however it is very quiet, so I am of the assumption it is restrictive. If your's is the same, and you're serious about kw, do what I'm doing - UPGRADE! Lambros Hi-Tech Mufflers in Sydney claim 25rwkw from their 3" stainless turbo back system - that's impressive in anyone's language. They claim that it's not too bad on the ears, either. Cost is around $2100 fitted in 2 1/2 hours. Worth a thought...
  10. www.gcg.com.au top bunch of blokes, them lot.
  11. Well, the best Just Cars could do was around $7000, so I figure anythings worth a try! I'd like to think it can only get cheaper from here on in. Having said that, I have been quoted $3600 by NRMA, provided that the car is standard - which it obviously isnt. I've exhausted all my Yellow pages and web-related links, so as it turns out, this insurance fiasco really is the proverbial sh!tfight that I was warned of.
  12. Due to these testimonials, I'm deadset sold on Famous. I'm calling tomorrow, hopefully they will look sympathetically (or just pathetically) upon my rather unfortunate driving history... Thanks for the lead, guys. Fingers crossed!
  13. Zenetti Tek 19" on an R33 25t. I swear to god- as soon as my other car sells, I'm there! Sure they're showy, but I reckon they're classy. And as the competition between all these wheel & tyre outlets heats up further, tyre prices will (hopefully) come down further. Not that I go through that many of them
