  2. Ok guys, just read all the posts on this thread. My R34 is at compliance, but came across one hurdle :Cough: :Cough: Car is in Sydney, and they want to remove the Xenon's. Like everyone, i dont want this. If any of you can spare your headlights (whole thing) for a couple of weeks (i can pay you rent fee), it would be appreciated. Husnu (Hus).
  3. My R34 just arrived, i assumed we could just remove the Xenon globes and put them back in car after compliance. However the compliance guys said that once they are removed, they wont work again (something about gas in them). I dont know much about the xenon setup and how it works. If there are any sydney people out there who can lend their non-xenon r34 headlights (complete headlights) for a couple of weeks (can pay rent fee). Other than that, my only choice is to remove it and lose it. Any help, advice will be appreciated. Thanks. Husnu (Hus)

  10. Thank's guys, your feedback and knowledge has shown me what kind of a goof i am. I did forget to mention the car was going to be for daily driving as well, and after reading all your posts, its not going to be much fun for driving and on the pocket. Ok, i want 250rwkw nothing more. Would the 2530 or 2540 be a good choice, or are there problems with them too (for everyday driving). How about a TD05 25G - i think that will be good for every day driving, and should get around 250kw. What kind of a turbo would be good for the above power, and everyday driving. I already have the clutch to handle that power, i have the HKS FMIC, i have a hi-flowed turbo (but doubt it will get more than 210rwkw). I have a car coming down which has an oil cooler and a few other little goodies. I'll take them off and put it all on this car. Slowly getting there guys : )

  12. Big Carl, $7,500 - thats just the engine right. Or does it include turbo as well. Nick - Current modifications are the following: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=72202 Add hi-flowed turbo, and new custom button clutch from Rajab Racing (www.rajabracing.com.au) Engine is blown, need to rebuild anyway, wanna do it once and properly. Hi-flowed turbo would only get around 200kw (give or take 10kw) i would think. I wouldnt mind selling the hi-flowed turbo, and getting a T67-25G or TD06-25G. Just dont know how hard i need to go on the engine for that setup (280-320kw). Like everyone, i have a budget. I dont want the engine rebuild to go beyond 6K. Regarding the ECU, i might get a Microtec as I was told it is better than the Power FC. Hope that gives you guys an idea. The Q45, and Trust TD05 on my profile was my previous car.

  14. ok.., throw away the idea of T78 I want to build an engine to suit 300kw at the wheels. Put aside the turbo kit (I may go for a T67 25G). Can i get a descent built engine for 6k? Or should i just buy a 2nd hand engine and drive with a 160kw skyline
  15. Car currently has HKS FMIC, Rajab Racing Custom Clutch, HKS Hypermax Coilovers, 3" Kakimoto Turbo Back Exhaust, Hi-Flowed Turbo, Arnage LSD Diff. Ok, put aside 350kw - say the T78 will hit 450-500kw - would i still need the same parts as what i was going for a 350kw - or extra parts? So for 6K (excluding turbo kit) - i wont be able to do much?

  17. I know someone who has the whole T78 33D Kit (External Wastegate, Exhaust Manifold, Dump Pipe + a few other piping with it). It will cost me around 3K mark, which is a bargain. Putting those costs aside - i wouldnt want to spend more than 5K on the engine. (Am I living in La La Land?)
  18. I wanna rebuild my blown engine. Like everyone, I want something good but keep it low cost as possible. I was thinking of getting a T78 33D Turbo (around 350kw). Besides the forged pistons, what other stuff are a 'Necessity' to handle such power. Those with knowledge in this department, please give me a list of what I am looking at, and how much each part will cost. Just trying to get an overall view of what i need and $$$ it will cost. If its gonna go above my desired budget, i might have to settle for a hi-flowed turbo, and nothing too serious in the engine. Thanks a lot. Husnu (Hus).
  19. Whats the difference between the R33 GTR discs and the GTS-t Discs? Would it be worthwhile upgrading the calipers only, or is there a big difference between the 2 discs?
