I asked my boss(mechanic) about having fibreglass bonnet and he said its not a roadworthy issue, but told me what I just posted up about the bonnet pins so thats the reason why I thought I should seek and find out the truth about bonnet pins.

I been wanting to get a set of bonnet pins because I have a fibreglass bonnet on my car, and just want to be safe rather than sorry by ignoring the chance it could happen! Now because the pins stick up like 1 or 2 cm, i have been told its illegal because if i ran over someone even though he or she will already be f'd, they will apparently be more f'd because of the pins sticking out that much... Can anyone clarify this for sure, not as in what they've heard but wat the truth is? And also if it is definately illegal does anyone know of other types/designs of bonnet pins that are legal?? The bonnet itself was originally black, and we resprayed it white to suit my car. Its in very good condition, there is no dints or major damage. The only floor on the bonnet is that it came with bonnet pin brackets, which I removed and patched up. Once it was repsrayed a small crack has come through on one side of the bonnet. I can have this repaired, or even the whole bonnet resprayed to suit buyers car colour for an extra cost. With the power fc set on standard factory map we couldnt get the car(R32 RB20) to start after installing GTR injectors and resistor pack. We had to adjust the injector correction i think from memory using a calculation that is on paulr33's write up on power fc's. So I dont think it will run, if u turn it over and it just keeps cranking then that will be the problem.. Just make sure when you brigde your resistor pack you are 100% the wires are connected/soldered properly.

my GTR came with the reservoir relocated, and i'm currently in the process of putting it all back to where it sits when standard. I have the brackets and powersteering hose that can relocate and properly bolt in your reservoir and also the charcoal canister next it. Let me know if you are interested in it.. edit - wat u may need though is to extend 1 of the other 2 lines coming off the reservoir

Its been removed from my R32 GTR, as I've upgraded to a twin pipe system. It came with my car when it was imported over. For the last year it was pretty much sitting in the garage as I didnt drive the car that much, and for about the last 2 months since it was removed it has been gathering dust. Its both electrical and mechanical From what i've kind got to understand its actually the valves on the particular cylinder being held open through the use of oil, flow of oil to hold the particular valves open obviously would be commanded by the ecu once it knows the car is at a cruising point where it can shutdown cylinders. i had it explained to me a few weeks ago but i forgot how and what actually happens. we were talking about it at work today, its how I kind of remember. i think maybe its like vvti, vtec? where the valves are open for a little longer at higher rpm, but instead constantly held open dont quote me on this either, as im not 100% but will definately find out again. Apparently this function is already in the VE commodores, but due to vibration are not enabled.. so we'll most probably see it on the next series once they have their vibration problems sorted.

At also a reasonable price as this item is pretty rare and getting hard to find. Once unleased it holds boost strong to limiter and keeps holding through all gears. Comes with briaded oil feed line. Spotted a silver R32 kind of like the one described on Abu's post, it was sitting out the front of Horsepower Factory.. at around 4.55pm this afternoon, i dunno wat he was doing, he just sat there. I'll keep an eye out again though... im sus about this guy, seems DVS

i have a HKS cast iron manifold for sale if interested BUT is has provision for external wastegate, and im pretty sure the flange is bigger than standard

Hello If anyone out there has an R32 rear bumper thats in ok/not very stuffed condition and would like to lend it out let me know! i have an aftermarket rear bar on my car which gets in the way when fitting the standard exhaust system. i need to fit the standard exhaust for compliance. Any help will be much appreciated, caramello koala's all round Thanks
