  1. lol, there's no such thing as too cheap, if someones offering them to you for less you take them and where is it? wonder if they do falken tyres
  2. lol nice analagy, but your going about it the wrong way, your still making one better than the other which it's not. saying to your left you have a gorgeous tight blonde and to your right you have a gorgeous brunette while not as tight is much better in bed, which one would you choose? There still gonna give you the same result, they just have different ways of going about it.....
  3. Why does one have to be better than the other in the first place? Can't you just deal with the fact that everyone has an opinion and maybe it's not the same as yours? As for the reason i'm building an rb30 bottom end, I want more power but I want to keep the responsivness. Yes theoretically I could stay with the 26 and make more power as well but welcome to lag city.....
  4. yearly bump, someone buy it, it's been in my cupboard for ages
  5. This is just the thread I need I rang around about 10 places yesterday for prices on these here in melbourne, for a 255/40R17 the lowest I was quoted was $320 each. I popped into a place round the corner from work this arvo just to inquire about prices in a variety of sizes for these tyres, for 265/35R18 I was quoted $345 could probably find them 10-15 bucks cheaper from other places but no where near what you said tempe are quoting. For that price it would be worth me buying them from tempe and having them sent down here! Interesting to see though there is minimal difference between the prices of the 17/18" tyres. Think I might have to buy some 18's with the old tax return
  6. Doubtful considering the gtr's are top feed and I think the injector inlet diameter is also slightly larger than sidefeeds....
  7. Faxed in my entry today, first one for the year, i've been slack
  8. Mines black, has SAU stickers on the qtr windows. There a silver 33gtr round the corner from me and a white one as well I see getting around a bit. My daily is a yellow 88 astra, so if you see one of them hooning around it'll probably be me
  9. Look the same as the Kranze 3pc 5 Spokes on this page http://www.c-red.com.au/index.php/usedparts/ but can't find any further info about them.....

    Spring Clamps!

there so like 4 years ago......
  11. I'm in Mill Park too , I do most of my work myself except tuning I use racepace. Found some of the workshops up this way to be a bit unreliable.
  12. ^^^ Different set-up on a 33......unless mines not standard? Pics on it's way
  13. This is the line for the standard boost gauge, The box on the left of the pic with the gold bracket is the stock sensor. You can "T" off this line.
  14. ^^^ Both true, although the good thing I find about the training days is you get 10 times more track time and by the end of the day there aren't that many people out there so you can go as fast as you like *Edit: Although what I call fast and what you two call fast is two different things *
  15. I know I should be promoting the club and such but another option is the Driver Dynamics Days that are run there. No scruteneering, no liscense required etc. Just need a helmet and a car.
  16. All teflon lines on the inside of the car and no smell at all ever. When the boot trim is in you can't see any of the setup. haven't got and engine bay pics on hand but aeromotive reg, sx fuel filter mounted in stock filter location and dual entry single return rail with braided rubber lines, as wasn't worried about fuel smeel in engine bay, and the rubber lines are easier to route and fittings are cheaper
  17. Just for reference the oil return port looks like this, Bung in/Bung out. Pic is of a block from a series 3 R31 and all 4 holes in the LHS of the block are drilled and tapped.
  18. Firstly i've got a transfer case that came out of auto 32gts4, now I know the 32/33gtr transfer cases are 'interchangeable' but are there actually any differences or are they the same unit? And is the gts4 unit the same also?
  19. or a link to the forum writeup?

  21. As far as my understanding goes, the redline shockproof oil is supposed to be good in old/worn out gearboxes it's kinda like a bandaid while you save the money for the new parts the box needs? I use the castrol synthetic stuff to suit.
  22. If you really have the car in your details, i'll show you some places and even teach you, as long as you let me drive too P.S. IBTL
  23. 044's are kinda like an angry bee I used a rubber lined mount with bits of rubber between the mount and the surface it's mounted too and some extra sound deadning on the rear parcel shelf under the trim and behind the seat cushions. You can hear the pump when the cars not moving at idle but when your driving you can't, road/engine noise drowns it out. As for the lines, I used all teflon ones in the boot and no smell what so ever. Bit of a pain in the ass though as the teflon line fittings are expensive and the lines don't bend as much as rubber ones.
  24. There's other factors too, hot and cold air bypass ratios, minimising turbulence, hot section design and acoustic materials in the ducts, but thats all kinda irrelevant to this topic.
