  1. f**k me do we have to go through this again, it's irrelevant what the moron at vicroads tells you, go a read the law thats written in the book, its factory figures end of story!
  2. I've got a VS V6 dual fuel wagon and it's not hugley bad but I wouldn't recomend one if your gonna be using it for towing alot, especially at highway speeds. Need something with more torque and a heavier rear end. We've got a brand new hilux at work and i've towed a 3tonne GPU with it and it was like nothing was behind me......
  3. edit: ok there not washable, my bad....
  4. just use soapy water and rinse it out well then leave it to dry. if it's just a generic one though I wouldn't bother just get a new one.
  5. Nah i was more refering to it's gonna make different gains/losses on different set-ups it annoys me that so many things/people advertise that you will get a 16hp or 10hp gain and then every noob goes out and buys it and goes wow my bog stock lancer is making an extra 16hp cos i put a pod on. dude, YES! it's safe as long as there is a filter there of sometype it's all good. an apexi one for your car "should" be a direct fit assuming you still have a stock afm, even if you don't it's easy to make up an adapter or get one made up and it adds more chrome too boot Is this directed at me?
  6. lol isn't the new law no turbos?? and the old law goes of factory figues if I am not mistaken....
  7. on what?
  8. lace bra ftw! edit: actually make that lace panties ftw!
  9. this isn't my daily wagon....it was known as the burnout wagon.....hell I had some fun in that
  10. yes, you can get an apexi pod that bolts straight onto the skyline afm I believe. No.
  11. is it actually a bend or has it been ground out, looks to me like a bit of material has been removed for balancing purposes, kinda hard to tell from the photo....
  12. Ok seriously, according to alot of information out there from the big brands the apexi ones flow the best and the K&N ones filter the best. Weather you'll actually notice a difference between the two I doubt it. People who say they can notice a 5kw difference in power are full of shit. I've seen many people on dynos going from the orginal box, to a modified box to a pod to nothing on consecutive runs and majority of the time on stockish cars the original box makes the most power....go figure??? As far as I am concerned, put a pretty on on there so it looks nice and be done with it as to you last question, going to an open pod from a standard box you'll probably loose a bit of power cos pods suck in more hot air than the box. its obviously gonna effect you more in city driving where your car heats up as opposed to a track......
  13. lol, i crack myself up.....i'm bored....
  14. gloss black with chrome dish
  15. just use the night shades stuff, although you do have to remove your lights to do it properley... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=137545
  16. Thats great, thanks for your opinion, next time send it to the herald sun. He's selling something not asking for your opinion on weather or not he should sell it.
  17. haha...lol...yeh...fun...for you maybe That road is awesome! It's not too dangerous really cos it's a very slow road. The road up the mountain would be worse, much faster but just as fun Another awesome SAU cruise, they never dissapoint, although I really need to try to get to one on time instead of as they are leaving the carpark Big thanks to all the organisers!
  18. Ok spoke to the guy in the shop again today when I was down there getting bits, he said you can use fittings for rubber braided line on teflon but they won't hold up to as much pressure, the fittings specifically designed to be used with teflon braided line (yes I know earls have a line of them too I thought I made that clear) actually bite into the line to give a better seal. In our case with fuel lines we are using teflon because it doesn't weep like rubber does, but generally people go to teflon lines because they hold more pressure than rubber. But if you want to use them for high pressure (3000psi odd) you need to use a completely different swaged on fitting anyway
  19. Got any pics?
  20. Having all the gauge wiring running together should be fine. The audio power wire may cause a problem but I really doubt it, pull the fuse on the audio wire and see if you still get the problem...just to be sure it's not that. If you still get the problem I really have no idea Are the gauges all separate or do they run of a control box?
  21. lol there's something dodge going on there.....stealing power/grnd/light from the ciggy lighter should work fine as it's only the power. For the gauges to be doing that something must be affecting the sense lines. Are they electronic or mechanical gauges? and i suppose the other obvious question where have you put all the sensors.....
  22. I've got a S1 one if you need to borrow one for compliance. Yes, yes it does....just like mine James - sell me the S2 one, S1 ones are homo need to make my car slightly more legal.....some of the time.....and lol at the comment about aaron, so true....
  23. What injectors are you wanting to run? For 650rwhp a nismo or walbro pump isn't gonna cut it, not even close. An 044 will be on it's limit at that sort of power. Aeromotive make internal/external pumps for up to about 1400hp from a single pump, but there not gonna be easy to mount in the standard tank.... I agree with pauly, I think you need to go an find a workshop somewhere near where you live and have a speak to them. I seen losta nice high HP cars from the middle east so I am sure workshops exist
  24. hmmm, fair enough then. Was recommended to me to use specific teflon hose fittings and not rubber hose ones.....although I am not using the earls teflon hose it's an industrial brand, can't remember what it was... Edit: It says rubber and teflon line uses different fittings Maybe the guy in the shop I go to was unaware they make fittings for teflon hose....
  25. Yeh the teflon hose is where it's at, only problem is it requires different fittings from rubber hose so you can't use speedflow/earls nice colourful fittings with it they are normally just a silver fitting, more of an industrial type, on a good note though they are much cheaper What you spend on the hose you'll save on the fittings....
