  1. Hi everyone, i have a friends m35 VQ25DET i'm working on and i'm having issues getting it running. I have had the VVT gear crack on the passenger side and replaced it along with a new timing chain, guides and new tensioners. when i first started the car it ran fine, then it developed a missfire. i shut the car off and cranked it over again, it took a while to start back up but was still popping, i moved the car out of the garage and went up the street to see if it might clear up, it stalled when i approached my driveway and wouldn't start up again unless i unplug the cam sensor on the passenger side. I've replaced the cam sensor off a spare engine i have but the issue continues, it pops and has no power, I rechecked the chain to make sure i got all the marks right and everything lines up. car cranks like a demon but wont fire with cam sensor plugged in. the car also has aftermarket injectors, front mount intercooler, some external waste gate welded onto the factory turbo. car is also on the standard ecu. I unplugged the afm with the car running and it just stalls. if i plug the cam sensor back in while the car is idling, it will stay running but continue to pop and missfire through the rev range. but i believe the missfire and popping is due to having the cam sensor unplugged. i think it has put the passenger side of the engine into a batch fire mode cause when i use the scan tool to disable injectors it starts to idle. I've also noticed when i have the passenger cam sensor plugged in i have no injector pulse and no spark on both sensors. has anyone had a similar issue ?

R32 idle isue Hi, I have a R32 GTST that ive swapped a RB25DET into. its still running the RB20 harness and a nistuned ECU, i have found the car is trying to idle at 1300-1500rpm and we have found that the idle motor plug is getting 12-14v at the plug.. is that normal? i thought they were a 5v constant circuit. i have also had many issues with base timing, ive gone through about 4 crank sensors in the last year due tot he fact that at 30 degrees advanced im only getting 13 degress. ive checked the timing belt and its all good. i believe the cam is worn where the cas triggers. is there any way to actually measure it to check?
  3. Hi Guys, I'm wondering if anyone has a R32 GTR front bar for sale, im not too fused if it has the bottom lip or not as someone backed into my car and the bar has been damaged beyond repair. closer to greystanes, sydney but will travel. Cheers, George
  4. Hey guys, As the title says im chasing a r32 GTR bonnet latch and support mounting. willing to pay postage or if located around greystanes NSW i'll pick it up. already have a bonnet going on the car but its to suit a GTR. Cheers

Hi everyone, I just completed a RB25DET swap into my R32 due to my rb20 having a spun bearing. car starts and drives fine until about 30min into the drive. basically it will start bucking if you drive it under 2,000rpm and coming onto boost at about 4,000rpm it will die off and then hammer until redline with a missfire / popping noise. i also found one coil pack was cracked so i replaced it and taped them all up to stop them arcing on the bracket. the pop seems to have gone away untill about the 5,500rpm mark Its running a Z32 ecu with a nistune and we had a play around with it and we have the top end issue to running too rich on full boost. (10psi on a GT3076R) im trying to figure out what could cause the bucking issue that i have. if you try to take off under 2grand it will act like it has no throttle input. but free revs fine. if you are driving and it dips under 2 grand and you accelerate slowly, same thing, if you just flatten the pedal it will accelerate fine without bucking. anyone had this issue? RB25 is out of a series 2 1995 r33 skyline we swapped injector plugs over coils to rb20det coils rb20 harness Z32 ecu and nistune spool oil drain rb20 balancer all rb20 bolt ons ( alternator, p/s pump, ac compressor) rb20 gearbox it is still running a RB20 series one afm and will be getting a z32 one soon. and is still running the series 2 gear (tps, knock sensors, anything we didn't swap really) VVT isnt hooked up yet either until i send my rb20 ecu to have the nistune replaced as when i tried my rb20 ecu it wasn't getting a tps signal. swapped the ecu out of my 300zx and it runs fine. Any tips or help will be greatly appreciated.
  7. hey all, Just a quick one, not sure if I'm in the right area here. Basically i had my R32 washed and they washed the engine bay. now its running rough and missing under hard load and surging when coming on boost in 3rd. I got home and checked the ECU codes and got code 55. so i disconnected the battery and waited a few min and re connected and all was good until i gave it a hit and it started missing at 4000 rpm then running rough and missing all the time under boost or any real driving load. At the moment all I've done is check the injectors too see if water got into the plugs, checked fuse box, pod, afm, for water. I've also noticed that it does come and go with the missing and running rough as sometime i can drive normal for a few seconds and it plays up again.so basically I have just left it with the battery disconnected for now but is there anything else i could check?   8. Hey guys, Looking for a stock or steel wheeled R33 GTST turbo to pop on my R32. The stock one will be sent away to get the steel wheel upgrade regardless but if anyone has the steel wheel one i will just buy that. I'm located in western Sydney NSW but am happy to travel or pay postage. Thanks Heaps.
