  1. The R33, R34 etc are just part of the full model code. ie BCNR33 (R33 GTR), ECR33 (R33 GTS25t), BNR34 etc. I guess most people just use the R33 R34 as it is shorter than the full model number.
  2. Have checked nismo parts list, they dont do complete gear boxes. Clutch, flywheel and short shift kit are the closest parts.
  3. Its definately not a factory nissan item anyway
  4. I would very much doubt that you have any thing other than a standard gearbox. Possibly you may have a nismo short shift kit, nismo gear knob or mayby a nismo clutch but that would be it.
  5. Minei s from the same place with the same floor mats as well. 97 series II GTS25T also.
  6. Read it again Ronin, yeah they do a 3.0 turbo diesel but this new engine is PETROL Its not for the M3 instead its for the top model of the regular 3 series range.
  7. Yeah, nothing new in the design but it is interesting that one of the reasons given as to why the nissan and toyota straight six turbos were scrapped is because the couldn't be made to meet emission requirements. That was 2002 and this BMW is due 2006...
  8. New Skyline?... New Supra?...New Soarer? Guess Have a look at the link http://www.autocar.co.uk/news_article.asp?na_id=214768 Here's the text The BMW M3 looks headed for some stiff in-house rivalry in the form of a secret twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre six-cylinder version of the 3-series that’s little more than a year away from introduction. The new car, depicted here in computer-generated images based on recent scoop photographs, will be badged 335i according to Autocar sources. The future 3-series range-topper will be ready for launch in left-hand-drive European markets by mid-2006, with right-hand-drive UK sales six months later. To be offered in coupé, saloon and estate guises, the 335i should bridge the gap that will be created in BMW’s range as the next M3 moves upmarket when it arrives in 2007 with 4.0-litre V8 power and a price to match. The 3.0-litre straight six (right) is said to produce around 330bhp – up 72bhp on the new 330i and just 13bhp shy of today’s 3.2-litre M3. The new powerplant takes a leaf out of BMW’s latest diesel engine development by employing two turbochargers – one operating at lower engine speeds to boost low-end torque with the other called upon to extend power at the top end. ‘It’s going to take turbocharging to a whole new level,’ said a supplier privy to the new engine’s performance claims. Nothing’s official, but a 0-60mph time of around 6.0sec appears to be on the cards with top speed limited to 155mph. By coupling turbocharging with Vanos variable valve timing and Valvetronic, the new engine is said to be very economical and Euro4 emission compatible. It’s possible that BMW is planning to provide the 335i with a new double-clutch gearbox similar to Volkswagen’s acclaimed DSG transmission. Tipped to replace the sequential manual unit used on the old 3-series, its development is cloaked in secrecy with a launch date still undetermined. The new BMW won’t be the only model to carry the 335 name. Also under development is a new 3-series model fitted with the same twin turbocharged 3.0-litre in-line six-cylinder diesel that’s used in the 535d.
  9. No, 4 door totally different. You can make them fit by cutting into the boot lid but no easy job
  10. There is only one version of R33 GTS25t Power FC. Check Nengun.com
  11. Have you experienced this? Manual states that memory of PFC settings is not effected by battery power, or lack of it.
  12. Bonnets are the same, N1 has the bigger rear brakes and oil cooler but those could be added to a regular v-spec. You definately need someone to help you out with chassis numbers.
  13. Same thing has happened to me since I replied on this thread! I was worried it was a coil or something. Have put std ECU back in but have only had it idling so far. Has the problem re-occured with you guy's or is it now fixed?
  14. If you don't have the optional boost control module then make sure that option is turned off. The default setup looks for the boost controler and will not run properly if you don't have it.

    new guy

You might want to double check that car of yours, they didn't make a R32 GTS25 until 1991.........
  16. Thanks for the help everyone SK, BlueRB240 At this stage I will hook it up and see how it goes. If knock rating getting over 40 then I'll get a tune for sure. They are such a reasonable price these days it looks like it will become more common to get one early on in the modification process.
  17. Thanks for the input Thats the thing, I could wait but if I can get the benefit of the Power FC without tuning it yet then why not. PFC base maps are set up to run on stock engines so thats why I'm thinking about doing it that way. Thanks two.06l & Robo's sounds like it worked well for you guy's. Anyone used it on a stock 33 25T though?
  18. I have a Power FC on the way for a R3325t with a cat-back exhaust as the only modification. I was going to plug it in, see how it goes and then spend the money getting a tune when I get a front mount & boost controller later on. Anyone thinks this is a reasonable idea. I believe that the base tune is actually quite good for the R33 as it is. Anyone done it this way before? Thanks
  19. This is the same as the black and white one posted a while back. Bee*R R34 fenders, front etc for R32. to be used in D1 I believe.
  20. Most manufacturers engine's have a similar lifespan, 10 + years. They went broke making too wide a range of platforms and different models.
  21. Make sure you get them test fitted before you pay the money for them, 18 x 9 is borderline for front of GT-t. At the least you will probably need to roll the guards. Back should be OK though.
  22. Trust dont make kit for sklyines that includes a 800mm wide intercooler, 600mm only. hieght and depth are either 240mm /76mm for the smaller models or up to 294mm /115mm for the drag version. These specs dont match up so dont expect it to be an actual Trust intercooler.
  23. R34's were designed to be closer in concept to the R32. Smaller, sharper handling and more responsive (overall sportier) than the R33. You dont really notice the small increase in weight. I went for R33 because its cheaper, can perform just as well as any R34 GT-t with a few mods and more room (esp headroom as I'm 6'4) inside. Not as good a performer in stock form though. PS R33 do have VVT, it just kicks in later on in the rev range relative to R34
  24. Could someone please confirm that 17x8 wheels +35 offset will fit OK on the front and rear of a R33 GTS25t. (without spacers) Thanks
