  1. I will make a few. I now have to cut it out and work out how to mount it. So far all the hard work is done. Moulding extras would be easy and would not cost much, although I had to ruined my old original stereo/screen surround to make the mould, so I would like to cover the cost of that from the first couple. I think the question is how much would.you pay?
  2. making the mould then vacuum forming
  3. Done some more work on it today.
  4. There very expensive and only on exchange basis.
  5. Josh, they are very dear and they are sold on a swap basis. You must return your old ones to them.
  6. As you said josh....."each to there own". Thats what modifying is all about. Individual tastes. Btw its not illegal to cover the top section. As there is no globe in there and no reflector. Reflectors are down the bottom of our tail lights.
  7. Nzguzzi, that was my problem as well. I like the full length ones. The ones I'm modifying should be finished in a couple of weeks. I will post pics once done.
  8. Exactly. That why I got a spare set of lights.... Just paint them.
  9. If you read from the beginning of the thread you will come accross the link for autostyle, and there is a pic of a black one there.
  10. There is a pic earlir in the thread of a silver one done with black.
  11. Commsman, I prefer the painted look. Josh, autostyle web site don't have the full length ones. Been through that already.
  12. I've now purchased a second set of tail lights , I already have the lens removed. I'm going to do an LED patern inside for the tail and brake lights. And I'm going to get the lens' professionaly painted to match the color of the car so now I have no need for the covers. I paid $150 for a full set of tail lights, So realistically I have a spare set and it is probably cheaper then buying the covers. So the set I'm now modifying will have LEDs in them and top half painted silver to match the car and also the section around the reverse light will be silver. And my stock ones are staying as is internally but painted black on the top half. This way I have a spare set and can mix and match when I want.

  14. It's fixed. They damaged the 02 sensor during either remove or install.
  15. Scotty, no mate. That along with the plug was the first things I checked. Anyway just dropped it back off. I told them about the positioning. So hopefully they get it sorted today. Stupid thing is.... There scanner doesn't link so they have to take it to a mechanic around the corner.
  16. I did clear the code yesturday arvo. Got a mechanic friend that has a multi scan tool to clear it. Came back within a minute.
  17. Dave, your thinking along the same line as me. It has to be damage to the sensor or simply wrong position.
  18. It's mild pipe with stainless mufflers. I'll take some pics tomorrow when its on the hoist. Not sure about the flange i will check whilst on the hoist. And if they don't help! I will demand they put my stock exhaust back on and give me a full refund.
  19. The cat is at the lower end of the dump pipe. So Scotty do you think the 02 sensor is simply in the wrong position and that's all what's causing the problem?
  20. It's not on a bend. It's on the straight section between the bend just before the cat and just after first bend from turbo. Went back to the exhaust shop today, let them know I wasn't happy and made it clear that its there responsibility to fix it. He said 02 sensor was very rusty and hard to get out so they may have damaged it then. End of the day they are going to take care of it. I'm dropping it back to them tomorrow.
  21. I wanted to buy yours Scotty but buy the time I.got the dump and front pipe from you, then a cat back from import monster or the likes, the price was getting up there and then I still would of had to install myself. Just made more sense to get it all from the same place.
  22. Dave, yes I used a crows foot to make sure it was tight. I looked at your link. fault code is 0135 which I believe is 02 sensor. but I could not get the procedure to clear the code to work. surely the procedure is just to give you the code and clear it...not to actually reset the ecu to learn the new fuel requirements??? correct me if im wrong.
  23. Dave, yeah axis. And I was thinking same thing... 02 is up stream so cat wouldnt effect that. I had it made and fitted by Windsor exhaust shop. They are local with a good rep. First thing I checked was 02 plug, and checked it was tight. Double check wiring tomorrow. Scotty, sucks they are not obd2 compatable. What tool do I need to scan it? How do I do a ecu reset? Is it as simple as the skylines and just disconnect the battery? Thanks for your input guys.
  24. Hi guys, Had a new exhaust fitted today. Full 3" turbo back. Anyway on the way home the CEL came on. Just wondering if anyone else has had this prob after fitting there exhausts? I do have a scan tool here but the bloody thing won't link. I'm thinking it has to be the 02 sensor. Thanks.
