hi guys i have recently taken delivery of a bosch 044 fuel pump to fit up to my r34 gtt. im wondering how many of you guys actually run the check valve (one way valve) that come complet with the pump? it seems like it maybe a hassle to chase up the banjo fitting(and cap nut) for the check valve that comes with it. so is it worth it? im asuming the check valve is only really so the fuel line doesnt loose too much pressure while the cars is not running, and i will be also running the stock intank pump in conjunction with the 044 the way i figure if it does not loose pressure now, it shouldnt after the install? anyone had experience with this? or should i just get the bajo fitting and cap nut? does anyone have pictures of the banjo+cap nut needed? thanks Justin

R34 Gtt Stalling While Braking
walkoau replied to walkoau's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
i understand completly what you are saying, but i dont have a blow off valve, i run my setup with out one. i used to have a turbo smart one (with the double trumpet vent to atmos) but i took that off and put a blanking plate on. i know everyone will say thats no good for my turbo because of pressure during gear changes ect... but thats just the way i have it. also this problem just started recently, and my setup with no bov have been like that for a while, so i cant see that being the prob. if its the air flow meter the idle would be continually hunting, correct me if im wrong? but i will check that out to be sure. thanks for the help spunky munky -
R34 Gtt Stalling While Braking

clutch is disengaging fine. the problem happens during heavy braking and medium braking all the time.... but only when i creap up to the lights, shifting down through the gears to bring the revs back down to near idle speed then depress the brakes it wont stall then, the best way to explain it is as if when i brake it feels like the booster is using most of the air in the plenum chamber then no air to left to provide decent air-fuel ratio, although i have checked idle air control valve and can not fault it. the problem would prob be fixed if i just tune the idle control up, but then the car would be reving near at least 1500rpm -2000rpm. thanks Justin -

Hi shane im after an r34 bootlid in black carbon.... really want one bad. been tryin to get one for ages, but as usual no one in aus has them or make them. and freight would cost a fortune for that sort of item to be brought over from UK or Japan. im sure if you can get a mould made up and get some in stock you would have no trouble selling them. i would def be your first customer for one. ohhh and while your at it a Gtt shape wing in carbon would be awsome to go with a carbon boot lid. or better yet a one peice boot and wing set up (with wing moulded to boot all in carbon would be a wet dream come true...lol) also if you wanted to go one step better than those bootlids already on the market in japan you could smooth off the rear of the boot lid (delete the brake light and key barrel hole) ive been getting sick of waiting for one to be supplied in aus so i have even been thinking of making my own mould and doing the job my self, but i dont want to use my boot lid for the mould and wreck it. hint hint to anyone out there with an r34 gtt boot lid and wing to donate. thanks Justin -
R34 Gtt Stalling While Braking

NO blow off valve installed.....ive been chasing possible causes for the last couple of weekends. its starting to really get on my nerves. -
hi guys having a little problem with my r34 at the moment, the car keeps on stalling on me when im braking to come to a stop. ive checked everything i can think of including vacum leaks and idle control valve but cant find any faults. could it be something as simple as air/fuel ratios, as it does need a tune but i did want to clear up the prob before i put it in. any surgestions? thanks Justin

Hi Luke i have a passenger side light (xenon) that the monting brakets are damaged on, but im sure you could use the internal reflector, globe, ballast ect in your non xenon light. pm me if your interested, make an offer. light is perfect apart from the mounting brakets. i do also have a globe and ballast ect by itself if you interested... i guess it all depends if the xenon you have at the moment has the XENON embossed in the reflector. Thanks Justin

when looking at an r34 check around the rear middle brake light (on the back of the boot) for rust... when looking for mine i found heaps of 34s with rust in that area. and of course make sure the car is straight and has good paint otherwise you will be forever kicking your self when washing your ride and you find anoying little scratches and dints. also as mentioned the factory xenons are great if you can find one with them...i was lucky.
-
can you please put me down for a braket also? Thanks Justin

im keen for a 044 pump, lets us know payment details when we have enough people. thanks Justin

pretty easy to do as my 4door bootlid was flush (pretty sure all 4 door bootlids are flush) and it came from factory with no wing... so no holes to repair... just had to get the wing, get it painted, then bolt it up.. the rear bar was then purchased later.. and same process.. i think it cost me $90 for the wing+ $100 for painting wing and front bar (only cause a mate of mine is a painter got it cheap) then installed it myself. not much outlay for a unique look on a 4 door

yeah pretty sure thats them...(not sure of the street number) but yes they are on sunnyholt rd. they dont have any signs out though, they are pretty hard to find. but they are actually behind Gasweld... there is a huge gasweld sign and you have to park down there driveway and around the back.
