there are class's you can do at tafe. these are called pre appreticeships courses some schools allow seniors to do the courses to get there units up for HSC. but sorry to tell you the only way to become a fully qualified mechanic is to do an apprenticeship. or you could go one step further and do an automotive engineering course part time at uni.

so the patern is the same and the greddy plenum will fit yaaaaa... i hate to sound dumb or ignorant,(but i am a simple deisel mechanic) can someone post up a pics of the r33 IAC (idle air control valve) and an r34 one? what about the traction control throttle body? i would like to set up a Q45 throttle body is it easy to set up? eg electrical plug, how to set up tps? thanks Justin

hey guys 1 im not saying anyone is wrong or wright here, (as i have no proof and havent tried this yet) but i find it hard to beleave nissan would change the bolt pattern on r34 to be differrent from r33, so can anyone 100% confirm the pattern is different or is it just what ppl have been told? 2 is the top half of the plenum the same pattern as r33? 3 IF IF IF the patterns are the same, all that would need to be changed are the fuel rail+injectors? 4 Mario, More info please!!!!!!! i know it sounds like a stupid question but are you 100% sure your engine is a Neo? if it is we know a greddy plenum will fit! please give us more info and photos.....i want a greddy plenum soooo bad so i can tidy up my engine bay. so can anyone give a 100%confirmed answer for the top 2 answers? thanks Justin

hi guys anyone know if there is an aftermaket plenum to suit an r34gtt? im after one with a front facing throttle body.? why dont the ones for r33 fit r34neo engines? is it only because of the fuel rail? what other mods would need to be done if any? thanks Justin

hey if you want the real nismo clear ones im pretty sure unique auto sports sell them.(i think they are the same as the GTR ones, but clear. i think they are about $220 a pair. i hope for your sake thats not $220 a piece. thanks

i know it sounds cheap, if ur desperate and cant afford the real ones you can get round trailer clearance lights that fit in the 400r bar perfect(just sit out a bit further then the original ones). i think they are made by hella, they are at supercheap or any good auto shop. you can get amber or clear ones, and just get tinted globes.

while on the subject of fog lights in gtts, i really dont like them in mine soif anyone has the same aero kit and same color as mine and wants to swap there a bumper with out lights with mine let me know.

yep 4 in main cluster and 3 in triple gauge cluster, but i modified mine so i got 6 in my cluster.

it was a while ago i did this, but im pretty sure ther are six globes in total on the climate control unit. in the pic attached you have to also unscrew the section i have put a line around(it is tricky because of the hot/cold dial and the surrounding plastic) and the other thre globes are inside that section. thanks Justin

im pretty sure the main cluster globes and the triple gauge cluster are t-5, but i modified mine to t-10 attached are picks of the globes from the climate control unit. i dont know the size but they are tiny. i modified them also to fit small LEDs in there.

here is a pic of my r34gtt steering wheel, it a factory nissan/momo one, i think someone mention it may be off a stagea??? but not 100% sure. just thought i would throw this pic in the mix to confuse ppl. ohh and its a 99 model series I with nissan aero kit.

any idea on freight cost?????? cause i really dont mind paying $1000 for the boot lid itself (as there is only one guy in australia that i have had an answer back on and said he can do it but he wants up front payment before making it and sound a bit dodgy eg. no pick up and bank deposit only even though he is in sydney and close to me!!!!) maybe if more ppl want them we can split the freight costs? and by the way im after black cf thanks Justin

with my old r33 i used turps or thinners(cant remember 100%). anyway just wipe it over the surface lightly. the coating will start to peel and ripple (like when u use paint stripper on paint). when it starts to peel wipe it off quickly with a CLEAN rag, then lightly sand and repaint.

throw out the old globe and holder, get a T-10 style led replacement, use a rubber gromet to hold the new led globe in the back of the gauge(one thats a tight fit) then just rewire it and u will now have a nice bright led look.. i did this to my speco gauges and it made them look heaps bertter.

abobob do you have any close up pics of the lower lip of the front bar(where it says SKYLINE)? did you fill the holes after you cut that section out? thanks
