  1. Looks almost identical apart from the bracket (but it looks like bolt hole is in the exact same spot) and the snorkel looks slightly different (which I could easily modify) I need to compare one in person.
  2. They would just check rta records. In nsw they record them on your pink slip.
  3. Pics attached. The trouble is I just can't seem to get it to sit right. Does the front bracket(the one that's riveted on) bolt to another bracket or straight to the base of the internal guard? Also is there another little attachment tube from the air box to the hole on the inside of the guard?
  4. Hi guys. I recently bought a stock air box for my r34 gtr. But it doesn't seem to fit right. Can anyone confirm if they are the same?
  5. It there own fault for being greedy. A little competition is good for us.
  6. What model? Insured value? Age? That's a bargain. I thought I was doing good at $975 compaired from Shannons $2200.
  7. Must of. I listed wheels suspension and exhaust.
  8. Nope. I listed my modifications with no probs.
  9. I insured mine for 55k no pics needed.
  10. Hi everyone. Just thought I would share my experience with you all. I recently insured my r34 gtr v-spec with Shannons at a premium of $2250 ($500 excess). I was told by a guy at work about nrma vintage. Catch is you have to only do no more then 9000kms per year and your car 15 years or over and obviously a clear driving history for the last 2 years. All no problem for me. Anyway nrma premium came in at only $975.55 (300 excess.). A saving of more then $1200. And agreed value was no problem.
  11. Will do. Maybe tomorrow if I get the time.
  12. Are they an aftermarket manufacturer?
  13. I know what I'm doing with anything mechanical..... but not so good with the electronics.
  14. Ok. So I just Google the perfect power smart tuner and it's a simple piggyback for fuel timing ect. .. but I don't get why it would have the re-manufactured ecu? Does anyone else have one?
  15. Hi guys just wondering if anyone else has come across this in there gtr. It has a harness connected between where the original plug is and the "re-manufactured" ecu. It also has some little piggyback "power tuner"
  16. Hi guys. Just bought an r34 gtr from qld and need an air box to pass for nsw blue slip. Anyone care to lend/rent me one for a Couple of days? Your help would be greatly appreciated and compensated with cash.
  17. The silver one was porn on wheels! Lol.
  18. No it would have been a waste of money getting it, as soon as i seen how extensive the accident damage was there was no way i was buying it. Not to mention the dodgy papers and speedo. I hope someone doesn't buy the car unaware of this crap. And get ripped off. I can only hope who ever buys it pays the appropriate price.
  19. Im in the exact same situation.
  20. Ok let me narrow it down not many nice stock bnr34's out there, that haven't had there kms wound back. That silver one, I would have bought that in a heart beat if it were in NSW. Everyone seems to put around $10k above the market value to start with when they first advertise and then start to lower the price after they have sat on the market for 3months or longer. Anyway I'm finding it a little frustrating to find what I want.
  21. I too was looking a this add about a week ago but stayed clear because of the huge amount of work that had been done to it. I would prefer one stock. Seems genuine though given he has said who done the work and to feel free to contact them to verify the work. And the above is wrong, there's really not a lot of NICE r34 gtr's out there worthy of there price tag.
  22. He said my prob was the sensors/magnets, not the sprockets.... Keeping in mind he didn't really have a clue anyway as it was misdiagnosed. It was low on power. He simply thought it was not automatically advancing.
  23. bummer you didn't post this up a couple of weeks ago.... i just sold a complete brand new set on ebay for only $530 this was for both sides sprockets magnets sensors and covers. a lucky guy in NZ got himself a bargain. when i first brought my m35 it had a problem and under warranty it was misdiagnosed as these. long story short i drove the car running like a pig for a few weeks, until the parts came in from japan. in the mean time i found a loose coil lead. fixed the problem. took the car back to the mechanic when the parts came in. he said i could keep the parts as they are a common fault and i would prob need them eventually. "Just don't tell the dealer" he said.
  24. already in the process of talking to the owner. hopefully i will be inspecting on wednesday.
  25. in my opinion both of these are asking around $10k to much. I know you have to aim high when selling though.
