Yeah no problem, you make number 4 and its ideal to make them in batches of 4 for me. Once you make payment to my PayPal account, pm me your details including address and I will post as soon as they are made. Which will be my next day off work after the 4 people have paid. Cheers Justin If anyone needs to contact me 0411 171 616.

An update with my progress and some pics. I just have to re-attach the lens' then seal them up. Then get the top half painted to match the car.

Yeah I will. But I'm assuming they would have English version with Australian tv set up and aus GPS......wouldn't they? If so why would they want to change? Could understand if it was all jap like ours! That's the main reason for me doing it.

I want practical on standard suspension. Would like a close to flush look without rollin the guards. And would be nice to have rims with a bit of dish.

Hi everyone. I have been doing a little project at home and I have come up with a mould for a gauge holder to replace the factory TV screen and buttons. I am offering these for $60 each +postage or pick up is welcome (from bowen mountain nsw, near north Richmond). I will only do them when I have at least 4 orders at a time. they are made of 2mm Perspex. and they will come to you straight from the mould. So please only hands on people should order. the reason for this is it would be very time consuming for me to trim and paint every single one and the price would be significantly dearer. You will need to cut the 52mm holes yourself using a hole saw, you will need to trim it to the exact size, give it a coat of plastic primer and top coat of your choice and then fit it. I used fibreglass around the seams on the back to mount it. You can also make your own tabs or use tie wire or cable ties ect to keep it in position. once gauges are mounted in it, you can use the bracket on the back of the gauges to secure it also. Again there are a number of ways you can do this, but I must stress this is not just a buy+plug+play situation. you have to be good a DIY to do this. Don't order if Your not confident to do this yourself. If your interested PM me and I will send you payment details when the minimum 4 orders are placed.

I will pm details once there is a minimum of 4 people. about to put another post up, to gain some interest.

Pics. Now that I'm happy with it, time to get my hands on some defi gauges. As for prices on these. $60 each. Up to you to trim, paint and install. You will be sold the moulded perspex as it comes out of the vacuum form. Be warned, trimming is fiddly, you must prime with plastic primer before painting. Obviously you will need a 52mm hole saw and drill slow and careful. To mount it I used thin fibre glass on the back around the seam. I will need a minimum of 4 orders at a time to make it worth while.

Fitted the new gauge holder today. Looks good. I'm happy with it. The gauges sit at a nice angle and is nicer then my first one. Will post pics up tomorrow.

So here is the new improved mould, made from thick body filler and aluminum tube which gives it heaps of strenght. With this mould I will be able to use it continuously be able to make heaps as the heat wont ruin it. in The pic of the painted gauge holder, the new improved one with better angle on it is the one on the right. Will be fitting it up in the next few days. I have plenty of time to play with it now as I have a company car for my daily ride. But may end up selling the stage :-( can't really keep 3 cars and my bike! If I get the right price that is...... Or I might just have to keep it. :-) that's what I tell the wife anyway.

Here is the first one finished and fitted. It turned out ok but not entirly happy with the position. They need to be lower and the curve isnt perfect. but i think its ok given its a home job and first attempt at plastic moulding. I will make another mould from steel in a few weeks, and get it perfect.
-
I plan on mounting the gauges with there U clamp and then using a piece of thin steel flat bar bolted to the clamps and bent into position. I will take heaps of pics when i install mine.
-
Im not sure yet. Moulding them is easy but its the triming that takes ages. Its hard to.trim them to get a perfect fit. If you are willing to trim/cut them out and paint yourself I will mould heaps and sell them for say $40 each plus postage. And if that's the case and I make a lot more, I will need some time because I would want to make a new mould from steel.

I'm a bit surprised! these cheap gauges actually look pretty good lit up.

Bumber!

Scotty, any chance of a trade with cash your way, I have a very limited edition gauge mould. Think of the exclusive item just you and i will have. Lol.
-
Finished. Will fit it sometime next week. Just cheapo gauges in atm. if it all looks good once installed I Will buy some defi gauges soon.
-
Scotty, how much do you want for it?
-
Put your dildos in it!
-
Oil pressure or oil temp or even auto trans temp are a good idea.

How about I make 5. Put them on eBay and let you guys bid on them? Lol I have altered the mould a little bit. I was not 100% happy with the first one. Next one will be better. Will post pics up of the next one, once its finished, including cut out and painted.
